Camp hosts were fantastic! Neighbors were very friendly and respectful and the site was perfect. Loved my mini-getaway and maiden trip with the new rooftop tent.

We like the activity and family fun found at Sand Beach. We aren't ATVers but like to watch them. This year the abuse and disregard for rules is distressing. In the 2 weeks we were there we saw law enforcement drive by once and all around the were ATVs doing wheelies and racing around the CG breaking the speed limit and going the wrong way on 1 way streets. More than 1 site had more than 16 people up to 6 cars parked on the pad and on the Sand where they are specifically prohibited. Adults driving around children ages 2 and up without helmets. With cuts to FS staff I don't blame the FS but if you can't operate the CG safely then maybe it should be closed

The crabbing was excellent. First time had my license and catch checked. Tuesday - Friday best time to camp, off road and crab! Less people!

Like always when camping on public land, Be prepared for great neighbors or bad ones…yes ORVs make noise and that’s fine. But drunk yelling people in the middle of the night is not cool. Also, allowing over 20 people and 6 vehicles led to camp in a non-group single site is wrong and leads to issues.

ATVs still running at 2am, people arriving and shining their lights on campsites at 3am. This is not a site where people can sleep.

It was a lovely campsite! It was packed when we got there and some of the site were flooded since we went end of March. The people with atvs spent most their day at the dunes so it was pretty quiet. The spots were nice and large!
There’s no service but you’re camping, your phone should be off anyways!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
