Great experience! The camp host was present, and as a result, the campground was efficient and great. The bathroom was clean, and the dumpster was accessible and not overflowing. Great access to the Colorado Trail!There are sounds of highway 285 throughout the night but nothing too crazy.

This was a great stay, conveniently located just down 285 for a short get away during the work week. We stayed for 3 days and during that time there were only a few other campers here. All of the sites are surrounded by trees, there is quite a bit of shade, and even though it is very close to 285 I thought the road noise was pretty minimal. The campground is very clean, the camp sites were nicely spaced out, the vaulted toilets were very clean, even though we had brought plenty of water there is a water pump (we did not use it so can't speak to it), and having a trash dumpster on the grounds was convenient. The camp host, Dan, was very nice and we saw him on multiple days so it's nice to know there is someone around day or night. The trailhead for section 6 of the Colorado Trail is right next to the campgrounds so we checked out a portion while we were here and loved it. There is no Verizon service anywhere on the campgrounds

We had a wonderful time camping at Kenosha Pass. Dan, the camp host, was wonderful. He is a "trail angel" who helps those hiking the Colorado trail. The Colorado trail is right there so hiking options are not a problem, especially if you don't want to drive to a trailhead. Also, we say incredible skies at night. I have just a few not so great comments. First, not all of the sites should be considered travel trailer sites (not sure about whether they would work as a tent site because we didn't view them from that perspective). The reason I say that is because many of the sites are far from being level and are rocky, plus many would be difficult to back into (unless you are a pro at that) given how narrow some of the sites are. The other thing I will mention is that you are close to Highway 285 so you can hear traffic, but we knew that going in, so we were okay with it.

Beautiful campground that's well maintained. Camp host was very kind and attentive. Traffic noise is unavoidable here, and this site was not level by the fire ring and picnic table. The sites, however, are quite large. Love the proximity to the Colorado Trail!This area can get very buggy. We lucked out and had only about 1 hour that was really bad. There are MANY chipmunks/squirrels so please please PLEASE keep a clean campsite.

Love..Love..Love.. However we have been here several times and the camp host was not the best, not personable at all. Need a new one.

Maybe it was because it was the first weekend of the season but when we showed up the gate to the campgrounds was closed and no camp host was there. I tried contacting the number but was advised that it was out of service. One of the pit toilets was never cleaned and had toilet paper all over the floor.

Great location for a week long stay! There were trails within walking distance and some just a short drive away. The highway traffic is insignificant at night so there was no issue with it. There is no signal at the sites but you might find signal at the entrance to the campsite. The mosquitos were abundant so be sure to bring bug spray and patience. We had initially booked a spot without shade but the camp host was kind enough to offer us first pick at another unreserved site of our choosing. The water has a metallic taste and refilling bottles was not the easiest task for us. Bathrooms were pretty clean, free of bugs, and smelled clean enough. There were plenty of businesses nearby for firewood and snacks. I highly recommend the Silver Dollar Lake and Murray Lake Trail that is about a 40 minute drive away.

This was our first site of many, and we got here in the middle of the night. It was absolutely stunning. I think we could see almost every star out there. When we woke up there were elk about 20ft from our tent, and the mountains looked gorgeous in the distance.

We had a great time. The camp host couldn't be nicer and everything was clean and well maintained (including the restrooms). We love this campground and enjoy the more "rustic" experience. Thank you.

The campground hosts were very good and very friendly. Access to the CT segments 5 and 6 was perfect. And the camping fee was reasonable.

While Kenosha Pass CG sits right off the highway and you do hear the highway noise almost continuously. You can find yourself drowning it out and the CG itself is well maintained and has always had the most helpful gracious hosts each time we've stayed. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and didn't smell whatsoever. Across the highway is a pond frequented by moose in the early AM and PM. We did have bear in our CG here 2 years ago but our hosts were on top of it and shoo'd it away quickly. Our sight was small but perfect and took minimal effort to level in. We did have issues with chipmunks chewing our stuff at night but we chalk that up to the older woman next to us feeding them each day. All in all, you can't beat the stars and the facility itself as they're amazing.

Kenosha Pass campground was gorgeous, for one. But beyond that, it was really well maintained by an extremely dedicated and friendly campground host. The sites are big and most offer quite a bit of privacy. We had a wonderful time at Kenosha Pass and look forward to returning!

Excellent camp grounds! I reserve two spots for my family at Kenosha annually. The camp hosts are always polite, very helpful and they keep the spots perfect. We will be back next year!

First off—- Bret and Missy- are AMAZING PEOPLE!! I definitely be back this year to see them. I really hope that they are coming back next year!! They are on top of the camp ground from early morning to night checking on the guest. Something I have not ever seen in 7 years of coming here. Absolutely love these guys. Not saying that they do it every time but they walk around a lot. But I love the friendly faces and the friendship I built with them in a 9 day stay. Thx-Bree

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
