Very clean sites and restrooms. Friendly and helpful camp hosts. Hiking trails direct from the campground. Only small con, Sites on the far outside of the ring as you enter are more on a slope and not all tent pads are level.

Great camp hosts, clean vault toilets, well-maintained campsites. Recommend bringing a wide-mouthed water container, the onsite water pump is not well suited to water bottles.

Camp hosts. Tim and Betsy were exceptional

Campground is in a beautiful location. Sites are spread apart giving each camper lots of privacy. The host was attentive and friendly. The only drawback is the washboard gravel road leading to and inside the park. We were told it had been graded only one time at the beginning of the season. Roadsgravel or otherwiseare poorly maintained in Park County, and these are no different.

We love this campground for a quick visit. It is a pleasant place and close to Jefferson Lake. Betty and Tim are the camp hosts this year and they are amazing. The grounds are kept clean and the bathrooms are kept very clean. They were both very friendly and helpful!! Hoping they return in the future.

We came during the week and it was great, probably less than half full. Looks like the weekends are busier. Hiking, kayaking, 4-wheeling, and opportunities to view wildlife. We also enjoyed going to the coffee shop in Jefferson everyday to get Wi-Fi and have a great cappuccino.

Lodgepole Campground has a nice hiking trail that connects to the Colorado Trail. The pit latrines were clean and well maintained. The parking spot for site 14 isnt especially level for trailers or RVs. But the picnic table and fire ring were more private than many other sites.

The Road leading to the camp round entrance is extremely rough for vehicles pulling a fifth wheel. The campground is nice, very quiet in the camp post are super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean!

Lodgepole is a family favorite and we come back year after year. We choose a more secluded spot, have easy access to restrooms and water, and easy hikes. The sites are well shaded for a lot of time outside together. Hosts having firewood available is also a plus!

The area is beautiful. We saw a moose, some antelope, trout in beaver ponds, and Canada Jay birds. We stayed at site 15. It was enough space for 3 small tents. One potential problem is there is run off trails through the campsite for previous heavy rain. We were fine because we set our tents up strategically. We did get rain but managed to avoid serious water problems. Clean, non smelly vault toilets were close by. Dumpsters at the entrance. I'll go back but will chose a different campsite.

Beautiful location and very well maintained campground. The bathrooms were always clean. This specific site had a lovely creek running by and felt private/secluded. It is a walk up site, which was not a problem for our group, but was helpful to know going into our trip.

This is my favorite campground. End of season is always nice because it's so quiet. I wish the wood bundles were cheaper.

No host while we were there, but another one stocked firewood and left a money can so you could collect it. Bathrooms were well maintained. Flat spots for tents are challenging to findon site 27, but not impossible. It's pretty close to the bathroom without being next to it, but very far from the water pump.

The restrooms were very well maintained. The campground was very quiet. The trash bins were very full by the end of the week.

Great location, clean campsite and bathrooms, good time overall. No camp host at all when we were there and a truck only came by one evening (out of the 3 we were there) to sell firewood which was a bummer.

The experience at Lodgepole (Jefferson Lake, Fairplay Colorado) was great. It is a bit inaccessible due to rocky roads and might be a little bit risky if you don't have an SUV. In the end it was well worth the trip due to its isolated nature. One is in the lap of nature with a lake just 10 mins drive away. Night time views a really good.It is isolated so no bath but there's a restroom minus the plumbing so good to carry some sanitizing wipes.
@AlexC6737302 · Camped on Jun 21, 2024 at Campsite #17
Nice hosts, beautiful hiking trail on the campground that led to a stream. Site 17 is directly behind the bathrooms which caused random gusts of unpleasant odor.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
