Our family has camped at Spruce Grove at least 3 times over the last few years and its always a great time. We love playing and fishing in the creek. My son caught his first fish on this trip! Well definitely be back. We have Verizon and had no cell service, so plan accordingly.

Great sites by the river! Had to walk a bit to bring in all our stuff but it was worth it. The toilets were close by but far enough that you couldnt smell anything! The river was very shallow so perfect for little explorers and mud pie bakers. Had cell service which was lovely and the site was spacious and not too close to neighboring sites. The chipmunks were very brave and got into our trash bags and totes. Overall a great experience and we will be back!

Great spot, love the creek and the rocks to climb on. Only issue was the Campground Host did not enforce quiet hours and some inconsiderate people left their very loud generator engine running all night.

Okay campground. No shade for most of the sites and some were close together. Bathrooms werent kept very clean but it was do-able.

The bathrooms were really really clean-but they were still kinda stinky. Still it was a 5 star experience

This is the only campsite that we have ever visited where the fit pit was thoroughly cleaned. That made making a fire so much simple. The camp host is friendly and helpful and really works to keep this area clean. Wonderful location and usually pretty quiet and friendly visitors.

Camphost were some of the best ever. Very attentive to the overall cleanliness of the spots and common areas.

To give credit where it is due, the campground was well maintained, and in a scenic location. That said I will never return. In my 25+ years of camping I have never experienced a more rude and authoritarian group of camp hosts. If you plan to camp in the walk in tent sites, dont expect to have any sort of parking. There are maybe 7 or so places to park for these sites, and demand far out-ways supply. If you enjoy leaving the busy city behind but still want that authoritarian big brother constantly nagging you, then this is the place. If you take your foot off the brake of your vehicle expect a camp host to yell at you for speeding (5mph speed limit). If you want to enjoy your morning without being bothered. Camp elsewhere the camp host routinely came into our site uninvited, interrupting our conversations. If you have a topper camper shell on your truck, and tow in your camper. Beware this apparently constitutes 2 RVs in the same site and that is not allowed. Do yourself a favor, save the money and camp somewhere you can enjoy nature without being constantly disturbed by folks with absolutely zero authority or enforcement capabilities, but will do everything they can to ensure you feel unwelcome. I ended up leaving this campground early and camping in the plentiful dispersed camping areas nearby and had a much more enjoyable time.

This is a magical little spot. Spruce Grove is very different depending on which site you pick, and the walk-in sites by the river were really beautiful (if slightly buggy).
@MaryCaroC0BECA · Camped on Jun 21, 2024 at Campsite #15
Beautiful secluded spots between large boulder for tent campers across the river. Only a few RV sites are level. The host was friendly. The smaller bathroom smelled toxic. The main one was clean and fresh. We hiked the Lizard Rock trail, which was enjoyable and had a beautuful view.

We were in site #14, which claims to be a "parallel" spot. I assume that means you don't have to back in. The area was not large enough to just pull up with our popup. And there is a small area to back into, so the site should be specified as a back-in.

One of the gems - we love this campsite - it is always beautifully maintained and the perfect getaway!

This is a nice camp site. It's shady, close to the creek, nice spot for your tent. You have to park and carry your stuff the camp site, but it's not very far. It is kind of close to other camp sites, so it lacks a little in quietness. Overall, a nice camp site.
@LoriE5535C5FD0 · Camped on May 24, 2024 at Campsite #26
The camp host was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The upper sites have a very short hill to the camping areas, and the spots next to the walk in parking obviously have more foot traffic, but the sites are nicely spaced and we would definitely return again.

Great campground not to far from Denver. Hosts were great!

This is a great camp ground close to the front range. Second time here. It is not too big and a great place for fall colors The hiking is challenging in spots but not difficult. No hand over hand scrabbling. You experience a variety environments here. The Toilets where nice and clean and well maintained. The motion detector lights that the camp host installed should be at every campground. The camp sites were well maintained. I have never seen a fire pit as clean as the ones at Spruce Grove Campground. Michael the Camp Host was super nice. He was very accessible and did a walk around every day. I would highly recommend you try and get him back next season.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
