This campground is well managed and in a beautiful location.

We had a lovely site. The potties were super clean the whole time. A lot of the spots are far enough apart that you don't hear much from your neighbors, which is nice. There weren't a ton of people with generators either which we always like!

We had a great time here. This is our second staying at this campground and we absolutely loved it. The campground is wooded and quiet most of the time, and is very close to Buena Vista, Cottonwood Pass and hiking trailheads. The star gazing was excellent. The bathrooms were clean and the host was very friendly.

I really love this campground- it's clean, the bathrooms are clean, it's not noisy, and it's close to a lot of places. This is our second time however and both campsites we've tried are not level- it makes for a really hard night's sleep when you're sleeping slanted.

Clean restrooms, beautiful campground, really nice hosts.

Park host is excellent and very engaged and present. Campground is impeccably clean and our site was raked and super clean. You can hear the babbling stream from this site when the other campers aren't running generators. It's a nice small campground. I couldn't really hear the road traffic although you're a bit closer here to the road than at Chalk Lake campground down the road. Really all three campgrounds just are so lovely. Thank you!

This campsite is always so nice. The grounds are well maintained and the bathrooms are the cleanest ever! Weve been twice and will definitely book again for next year

Enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful campground however there is much car traffic throughout the loop where all campsites border. This creates a lot of dust and noise (and light at night) most hours of the day. Sites are well-spaced but you can still hear your neighbors easily. Pump water is available although it has sediment and is not chlorinated so needs to be filtered. Host was available for emergencies only, not to answer questions or give recommendations. Recommend not staying in a site near the bathrooms as the sound of the door opening and closing is constant. Sites near the river are lovely however expect people from other sites to walk through your site to access the river. Bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. Location cannot be beat as it's close to multiple trails and a short drive into Buena Vista.

This is the second time I have stayed in this campground. It is beautiful. The only reason for less of a rating is the host seemed a little lazy. We stayed 4 nights and never saw the bathroom cleaned. Toilet paper remained on the floor. No hand sanitizer.

Nicely spaced sites situated in tree cover and near an audible creek. Bathrooms are clean.

the hosts were great and kept the sites and bathrooms clean

well cleared site, level for tents (which we did not use) . Very clean restrooms. Access to all kinds of stuff. Good weather. Need to adjut your expectations cooking at high altitude but it worked. Would stay again. Jut wish could park additional car at site.

Beautiful campground for smaller RVs in general. It would help if Forest Service would fix the broken pumps as only one works. Near hiking trails, and short drive to fishing.
@DavidN9135851 · Camped on Jun 26, 2025 at Campsite #16
This has been one of my favorites for years but Forest Service is kind of letting it go. Terrible roadway. Water is undrinkable and pump barely works. Bear bins are just randomly placed on a few sites. More suitable for smaller RVs and tents as many of the sites are barely large enough for an RV and tow vehicle. Hosts seemed nice.

Sites provide plenty of space. Many aren't perfectly level which could be an issue for tent camping. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. When I was there the hose bib was out of service and the only other one was a manual pump a good walk away so doing dishes was tricky. The highlights were the robin songs (though they did get started at about 4am) and the three moose that came through in the morning.

Space 26 relatively secluded with easy access to bathroom. It was also nice and level for my VW Vanagon.

The hosts are doing an amazing job! The campground looked great, bathrooms were very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There was a vehicle parked in our spot when we arrived and the hosts sorted it out very quickly - we really appreciated that!

Always a lovely camp experience here. The hosts this year were on it - came to our site right away to check in, gave us a parking pass, and came around in the evenings to offer wood ($10). Very friendly and kind!Our site was clean and quiet with great shade. We went to cottonwood lake during the day which is about a 20 min drive.

This is such a beautiful campground. You can hear the river close by. I highly recommend this campground and site. The hosts were very helpful and kind. They did a great job answering questions and keeping the campground well maintained.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
