Great spot!! Super clean and only a 5 min walk to the lake!

The campground is well-maintained, and sites are nicely spaced apart from each other. The camp host was really great...friendly and welcoming. Vault toilets were cleaned regularly, and sites were clean...no trash from previous campers.

Fire pits have not been cleaned ever. That permits high fire danger. Would not go back no water hosts were not very nice

The camp host called us and left a message on our camper that generators cannot be ran during the day. The signs say quiet hours are from 10pm-8am and we had two dogs in our camper while we were at the lake. She was extremely rude about having a generator on and when asked about the quiet hours she replied, "That doesn't apply to you when I say so." I would also state that all 4 of our campsites had generators and only ours was told to turn it off which I guess was our alcoholic neighbors that would cuss and fight every night complaining. Also, All 4 of our sites were "standard nonelectric" and no where in the regulations does it say "no generators to be ran during the day." Overall I would rate Silver Dollar as a 2/10 with the interaction with the camp host and her complete lack of decency.

The driveway in the site is listed as 30 feet. This is most untrue. It is 20 feet at best. We had to leave our boat at the ramp parking area overnight as there was not enough room to fit it and the truck together. There are two grills. One elevated with a griddle which could be useful, though we did not. The other is smaller than we are used to and the grill, while the height is adjustable, it is unable to be rotated out of the way as with many other sites. The vault toilet was very clean and the boat inspectors were very nice.

We were in site 10. An excellent site with plenty of shade and not too close to the outhouse. Easy walk to Turquoise Reservoir. The campground host never stopped by to say hello, but we did not have any issues other than one camper who ran his generator during the day.

The view and campground were absolutely beautiful.I would have rated 5 starts but my group and I got harassed and discriminated against by an older woman and man who stay near the boat ramp/extra parking lot by the lake. We brought my street legal and plated Honda grom and when turning around by the lake, the woman came up to us very angrily yelling that we cannot have that by the lake at 8pm and that it's illegal. While trying to explain to her that the motorcycle was street legal, she said that the campground was for people who pay to stay there. I informed her that it's rude to assume we didn't pay, as we paid for 5 campsites in silver dollar. The older man arrived shortly after and immediately got in my face (i'm a woman who is 5'1) and put his hands in my face yelling that he was going to evict us all from our campsites. I tried to get a clear understanding, but they were being super unprofessional, they would not give me their names even though they said they work for the district, and they could not show me any signs that showed we were not allowed to have a motorcycle there. They became hostile until they realized my friend and i were both recording them on our cell phones. After that they said to just go on our way, but they showed up at our campsite later to harass us more. Once i told them I was going to report them, they finally left us alone.

staff was very helpful otherwise I would have given it lower marks, Bathrooms were by far the stickiest the best was Arapaho basin followed by Belle of Colorado then Molly brown and a long way back on bathrooms was silver dollar plus it is the worse location but there is nothing they can do about that unless you're a mountain bike rider then the location is fine, .25 mile walk to the lake one way.

This site is well-shaded and flat. It took some manuevering to get a pop-up with a car, but it's doable. The toilets are easy walking distance and extremely clean. There's a beach by the docks which is walking distance from the campsite. The cost of parking at the dock is included in the fee for the campsite. That's not overly clear and the guard didn't explain that, but some other campers did. There are a lot of mountain biking trails, and beautiful hiking trails very close by. If you're a golfer, there's a golf course a short driving distance, and at the bottom of Mount Massive. We enjoyed our stay.

Got site 41 by driving in and finding it open (was not listed on website). Beautiful site, lots of trees, felt spacious and private. Quite a walk to the bathroom but otherwise ideal for what I was looking for.

We love it here....woods, close proximity to the lake and biking trails.

Beautiful campground in the forest, not far from the boat ramp and water access. Large spots, nice large, cement picnic tables and metal fire rings. Great place to escape the summer heat in the mountains!

Clean and quiet campground; host was very kind.

Beautiful campground. Site 36 is right next to the vault toilet so depends if you like that. Bathroom was in great shape and there were no smells despite being RIGHT next to it. We tent camped and had a little trouble finding flat ground for both of our small tents so we parked the car closer to the picnic table and created a barrier between the bathrooms and our tents. Great shade, lots of hammock trees and felt private enough for sure. Very peaceful being back from the activity at the lake but still easy to get to (2 min drive) for a SUP put in. Or you can walk or bike there easily as well. Host was great and pleasant. Firewood onsite at host site $10 cash put in mailbox.

Clean campground. Private sites with lots of space and trees between them. Two men/women vault toilets on the loop, so one is still available while the other is cleaned. Lots of firewood available for sale for $10 a bundlejust put the cash in a slot. Short walk to lake with beautiful views. Water is very cold, but paddleboarding after the wind slowed down around 6pm was gorgeous! Our second time meeting friends here, and Id do it again.

National Forest site, remote and beautiful. The forest seemed unhealthy. The trails were clear.Our res was in a site unsuitable for our rig, but the camphost immediately moved us to a spectacular one, huge and level.We had adequate cell and internet. Leadville was only 15 minutes away, with everything we needed.The camphost told us there is no dump facility for the San Lius forest,so we had to go to the Leadville Sanitation department and pay $20 to dump, and $10 to fill our fresh tanks.

Camp site was great, camp host was excellent. However, there was a camper that ran a generator non-stop. Needs to be something done about these.

When we came not many sites were occupied so we had it to ourselves. The campground is beautiful with lots of trees. The hiking trails around the campground were great and allowed us to stretch our legs and get the dogs out. The bathrooms and campground were VERY clean. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We were a short 10 minute drive to Leadville. 5G Google Fi and AT&T cell service was very good as we were able to stream during a rain storm with no issues.The sites are a bit unlevel but nothing leveling blocks can't handle. The fire pit was full of ash and old wood but we use a propane fire box so not a huge deal. We will definitely come back!

Great campsite. Site 21 next to host David. Drop was well maintained & clean with TP supply. Numerous easy hiking trails & Turquoise Lake 1/4 mile from site 21. Good shade. Bring your skeeter repellent. AT7T coverage 3 bars on an old S8+ & 4 bars on a newer iPhone.

David our camp host is exceptional. He made the experience better!

Overall we enjoyed our experience. We were disappointed with the number of reserved sites that were unoccupied. Its so hard to get reservations. Its difficult to see how many people save spots and then dont use them.

It was a beautiful location. We are introducing our grandkids to mountain biking and there is a wonderful beginner trail around the campground. The toilets were also very clean.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
