Campground is clean, restrooms always clean, camp host is so nice and accommodating. We go every year because this is such a great campground.

The site was fine, but the water issue really needs to be addressed. Either fix the water supply or reduce the fee, as this is a major amenity that isn't currently available.

Campground host Marsha does a great job year after year (this is her 20th year.) The toilets are kept very clean and stocked all the time. She sees that the campground rules are followed and educates customers. The campground itself is very nice and quiet with excellent shade and only a short walk to Turquoise Lake.

It is a very noisy campground and the trail to the lake was closed down, so you have to walk along the road to go down to the lake. If you are staying over the July 4th expect fireworks until 3 am, there is a parking lot a mile away where the local rednecks like to shoot off their life savings. I never saw a National Park ranger which was a bit concerning when some teens across from us decided to leave their campfire going to go see the fireworks in town.On the positive side, the restrooms were very clean and the campground host was excellent.

The veteran host of this CG kept the place tidy especially the vault toilets ! Never saw any sooo clean ! Sites are treed and spacious. Place was quiet and all campers respectful . Nice trail for walking or biking along the lake. Dump station nearby .no Verizon service . Only complaint is about the day use area that is only open open 8-8 so no drive access to fish the lake early morning or evening. I had to gather up my gear and take the 15 minute trail to get to the lake. Youd have to be camping in one of the CGs right on the lake.

Stayed at site 14 for 2 nights. Overall recommend. Campground was quiet. Sites and vault toilets were clean. Tent area for site was very nice. The parking area was slightly sloping, but not too bad.

Marsha, the host, came to our site and gave us our pass and then proceeded to tell us some of the advantages of the pass. She keeps the restrooms very neat, as well as tidies up each campsite after people have vacated. We had site # 23 and it was a perfect site for us, fairly easy to back into. We spent time in Leadvile wandering around seeing the sights and visiting the Temple Israel Jewish Museum (FREE), well worth the time to learn about the Hebrew community in early Leadville history. Several of the other museums in the area were having staffing problems so their hours were somewhat curtailed.

Heavily wooded campground between Leadville and Turquoise Lake.

The campground is the best maintained that I have ever visited. It is very obvious that she takes her responsibility seriously. The host is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable on the local sites/trails to see/visit.

Spent two nights with 2 kids, ages 4 and 7 and two doggies. Easy walk to the lake from the smallish campground, which had big sites and lots of shade - made for an great spot. Overall, very family friendly with clean out-houses and easy trash access. Only negative is road boise echoing in from Leadville down valley in the early morning hours. We would definitely stay here again.

Our Camp Host did an excellent job communicating conditions and requirements for our stay. She was visibly active checking on camp conditions, cleaning the facilities, and was a pleasure meeting.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
