We appreciated the helpful camp host. Site originally reserved, site 205, was very unlevel and not workable for our 37-foot motorhome. Yes, I had looked at the site description and satellite view and saw nothing concerning, but it just would not work without MANY boards, which was problematic for a winter stay due to having to move to dump periodically. After moving to site 195 all was well. The shower house had a working heater on the women's side, but not on the men's side. Dump station and water fill was available. We appreciated the open loop during a winter visit to family.

Site was nice looking over the water. Got to see some wildlife doing their thing. Including a skunk highlight of the trip.

Only the Old Duck Loop was open when we went but restrooms were very clean and most sites had a great lake view. We drove up to Pymatuning and into Sharon to visit Daffin's candy. Very nice time!

Wow! What great sites, right on the water. Beautiful sunsets at night! Showers were nice and hot with great water pressure!! Sites were a little close to each other but all in all a 5 star campground.

Not bad, however sites are in much need of maintenance. They are uneven, have low spots in many areas, and me, being one with mobility issues find it difficult to walk around uneven surfaces. Some spots go low to high within a few feet.

The campsite was in need of gravel and therefore it was very muddy. When we arrived, we tried to move to another site and although we were told by recreation.gov that other sites were available, those sites were taken by other campers. It was confusing and not helpful

The campground was clean and well kept. The upper half of the loop has electrical service, the bottom half, where we were, does not, which meant that people had generators going all day and all night. Some were loud enough that they could be heard inside our camper. This is just something to keep in mind if you choose to camp in the non-electric half of Old Duck loop.

Beautiful campground, reasonable rate, excellent showers!

First time at Shenango. Unfortunately picked site 221. Wind was relentless and, mixed with rain, produced chills that made my stay a constant challenge rather than a pleasant experience. Branches and acorns pummeled my trailer day and night. Sites within 50 yards were calm and warmer. May return but never to the same site.

Generators running after permissible hours, kept me up all night.

Enjoyed my stay at the Shenango Dam. Had sites 207 and 204 and both were great spots. Enjoyed my walks and saw tons of deer. Make sure to visit the zen telephone area!

Many of the sites were not level requiring some serious leveling for trailers. Bathrooms were cleaned periodically, but were not cleaned the 3 nights I was there. We will return and try this park during the season.

This is the second bad experience that we've had at Shenango River Lake. It will also be the last. This time, we reserved spot 205 in Old Duck Loop. We had not seen the site. I reserved it by making as phone reservation. After we checked it with the campground host, we drove our 30' motorhome to the site. One look was enough to see that there was no way that we were going to be able to back up into that site. The road was very narrow and there wasn't enough room to go into the grass to back up. Possibly if the site in front of 205 had not been occupied, we might have been able to pull into it and back into ours. In addition to that, there is a ditch on either side of the driveway into 205. There was no room for error in a difficult maneuver. If we had been able to back in, we would have been facing downhill since the site wasn't even close to being level. In addition to all that, I lost out on the money I paid for a three day stay but we COULD NOT back in. Never again.

I have been going to shenango for years. It's my wife and my favorite camping area. Always so neat and very clean. Nice showers and restrooms. This year I must give kudos to 2 of your hosts one in site 56 and one in 77 or 79... both very knowledgeable and quote capable hosts...yinz are blessed to have them . Heck both of them even pointed out the benefit of the old folk lifetime pass which I now proudly carry. I hope to see the rangers and hosts next season... such a wonderfull campground

Clean and nice facilities and sites. Did have a bit of a walk from the Golden Loop electric sites to the shower building.

Very nice area; flashlight recommended after dark to manage encounters with local Mephitidae(especially if you have pets) which are benign, but present. Recommend!

We have been camping at Shenango for many years! We always enjoy it! The camp hosts in the Golden Loop we camp in are exceptional!! The sites do need some work and the loop roads are in bad shape! Hopefully this will be taken care of!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
