Great site right on the river. Saw deer and big horn sheep across the way.

A great spacious small park right on the river

Always enjoy our stay. Quiet, peaceful & clean. Only muted traffic noise and occasional train whistle.

Nice campsites along the lakeshore. Far enough from Interstate to not be noticable. However, it can get windy there. One of the bathroom seats needs replacing as it has somes grooves etched into the seat, which collect some nasty brown stuff. Sites have power pedestals, water, and picnic tables.

Small park with a few waterfront sites. Leveled and paved, 50 Amp plus water connection. Dump station in the park. Negative? Not much to do in the area. Good for 3 nights if you are on waterfront. Otherwise, I would stay a night.

Great camp ground, staff are awesome!

Great overnight stop. We booked a back-in site and when we arrived there was an opening for a pull thru so we paid the difference. Park is quiet. Wish they had sewer option, but overall clean and all was great!

Not much for shade, but everything else you could possibly want and easy access to fishing the Columbia

This was a great place to stop for the night. I wouldve enjoyed a couple of days here. Love the army court of engineers they have the best parks

The park has gone downhill during the past few years. Case in point, the restrooms used to be spotless; now they need a freshening up and a good cleaning.

This is a good park close to the Columbia River, John Day Dam, and the Maryhill Museum. It sits at near the mouth of the John Day river where it enters the Columbia. Its well run and clean. As the campground has pit toilets, the only place to shower is in the day use area bathroom. The showers were not clean, and the doors were propped open, so there was no privacy. We chose not to use them.

Lots of highway noise day and night. And we picked a very very hot night to stay there (we have no A/C). Otherwise the campground is very nicely situated on the John Day River right before it goes into the Columbia. Scenery is gorgeous and good wildlife viewing. Very handy off the interstate.

Very nice park. Main bath facilities are nice, other one is a portable. Lots of wind the day we were there.

Had a nice visit to LePage Park. Very friendly camp hosts. We didn't fish or boat but looked like a good location for those activities. We ventured upriver to a gorgeous day use area and swimming. Lots to do nearby. Swimming area has some lake grass (seaweed) but non toxic and still good for splashing around. There are rattlesnakes in the area so it's good to be aware of surroundings. Beautiful place! Enjoyed star gazing and saw a couple of meteors

Excellent views from the pull-thrus facing the river. Very personable hosts and gate attendants. We werent prepared for the amount of wind at first, but got used to it and did have 3-4 days of calmer weather. We swam and floated at the back end of the campground. There was way too much moss growing in the swim area. Too bad they havent made this a safety priority. Beware rattlesnakes!

Easy to find and easy access on and off Interstate 84.
@AlanB7325973 · Camped on Aug 3, 2025 at Campsite #12
Would have been great if not for the wind :)If you catch a calm day, it should be enjoyable, we did not! :(
@KatieD7074955 · Camped on Aug 1, 2025 at Campsite #T5
some of the amenities listed for rent camping were not there- no drinking water tap, for example. The tent area is open and closely spaced, fun for groups but if youll be there on your own get one of the sites on the edges to attempt a little privacy. There was no one enforcing quiet hours so it was a rowdy and low-sleep weekend for us the good stuff was low cost, easy access from the highway, a playground and fun fishing for the kids.

Great site - spots were level and ammenities were all good - park was so nicely kept up, I would definately stay here again!

Easy in and out. Very hot weather, but expected for July.
@ScottY6419189 · Camped on Jul 28, 2025 at Campsite #8
The site we had was great. We have two dogs and the goat heads and cheet grass was overwhelming. Our dogs couldn't walk on the beach or the grassy park areas because of it. We wanted to utilize the beach and swimming area. The grass and moss was over grown on the beach and the water. Very disappointing.
@CindyS1337188 · Camped on Jul 14, 2025 at Campsite #15
Quiet park, friendly staff. Website says shaded sites but all trees are young, shorter than my rig.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
