Great site! A lot of fun activities to do with kids. Never found the hiking trails but we never got the chance to ask. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Chris especially for extra wood for my boys campfire. Spectacular location to see sunrise and sunset over the lake. I recommend the C loop.

B39 is a nice spot with easy access to the shared water spigot.

Tall Chief Cove is a great place to camp. The area is beautiful and the spaces are very spacious. If you like to go for a walk it's a great place to get in a couple mile walk by going around the loops. There are lots of activity options in the area as well. The bathrooms/showers, while you do have to watch for scorpions, are very nice and kept extremely clean. This is definitely going on our list of places to come back and visit.

We were in Loop B. All back in sites. Paved with picnic table. Power at site and shared water with next site. We needed close to 75' of water hose. Bring a hose Y.Lovely setting on the lake.

We have stayed a few days on two separate occasions. Each time the lots have been clean and the park looks great. We stayed in lot A13 last time. The width of the lot is not very wide and the edge drops off about 6 to 8 inches. When you put the steps down, they came right to the edge of the drop off. We found this to be not very safe, especially for older people. Other than that, everything we have seen has been great at the park, including the restrooms. We enjoy going there a lot!

A pleasant overnight stay with a view of the lake.

We camped in A22 and we enjoyed the site with one exception. The water has to be shared with 3 campsites and I had to use 200 feet of hose in order the even reach the faucet. I dont expect this to be rectified by adding an additional faucet (although that would be nice), but I think it would be very beneficial to comment on this situation on the website. Most people do not carry 200 of water hose. Loved the site other than that.

Absolutely love camping here. We come often. I wish there were more rangers checking in and driving through. Gate staff are amazing . Super sweet to our son. We definitely love it.

Its a great area with the spaces right on the water or very close. The camping area was very nice. I did pick up some small trash, bits of things and cigarette butts around our campsite.

We love Tall Chief Cove EXCEPT will not/do not book the last week of September - first few weeks of October on C loop as there is a large religious group that takes over almost the entire loop and turns the place into a zoo quite the opposite of the retreat and relaxation that our family goes camping for. They have several families on each site, trash the bathrooms (I feel bad for the wonderful cleaning crew), play their music at the pavilion early in the morning, throughout the day, and late at night, and dont care if their dogs bark their heads off. I have inquired at the gate about this group and all I get is that they cannot do anything about this group booking. There needs to be something done, because a public place such as this is NOT the appropriate place for a private gathering of this size and length. We love camping in the fall, for good reason, but this group has caused us to go elsewhere. Please do something!!

Campsites are to close together ( no privacy) and NOT good for tent camping (a lot of slope and rocky). Was warned verbally when we entered to keep our dogs on leash (and did so) but others did not. The photos of the beach are deceiving as it's mostly grown over with grass, weeds, etc. All in all the place is decent but it honestly needs to be taken care of better and the photos of each campsite need to be more detailed.

Tall Chief Cove is a great place to stay! The Hosts are great, too. We love our stays and the facilities are good. However, maintenance needs to be done on the sites. Roots sticking out of the ground, trees not trimmed on bigger spots for the tall campers, a lot of the entrances into the pads are washed out on the sides, which makes it hard to back in and could damage your camper when you drop off. In the past few years, the beautiful beach has been closed for low water and now there has been a huge cut in Park Rangers, so the beach cant be reopened. We will continue to go back and hope things are improved.

loved being close to the water, but the spot we were in had very little area that was suitable for a tent, it was spot 54. it was all rocks and i had to take my foot and scrape all the loose rocks back, to where we could have a smooth floor. would be a great spot if they would haul in a load of dirt and cover the rocks. it would give you a better place for a tent and would of been much shadier. as it was we were in the sun in late afternoon.

The campsites and restrooms were very clean and tidy. The access to electricity and well water for our dogs helped out greatly. Will be back soon.

We had such a great time out there! Will definitely be back. Felt very safe as we entered and checked in. Noticed staff making their rounds and checking to make sure everything was good periodically.The restrooms and showers were cleaned daily. The lake was great as well. Clean area you can tell they maintain it properly.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
