It was quick and easy. The campsite was clean and manicured. Our first visit here and have no complaints.

Burns Run West Campground is a wonderful place. I came here mainly to enjoy the night sky, and it was absolutely worth it. The Milky Way was clearly visible right overhead. The campground is clean, well maintained, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. I highly recommend this spot, especially for anyone who loves stargazing and peaceful nature surroundings

The view of Texoma Lake from Burns Run West is awe inspiring. The area is peaceful, full of wildlife (deer almost every morning, little burrowing moles making a home near us, and geese stopping nearby for a break in their flight). The long pull through spaces under the tall trees are just gorgeous, even tho we've never been able to book one. The winding roads make for a special place to walk or ride bikes. There are two playgrounds situated on either end of the grounds that are clean and fun. Restrooms are clean and roomy but need lighting. Overall, it's one of our favorite places to camp.

Please! Do something about the entry way into the park. Those of us that have long trailers have a hard time squaring up on the entry way. We have to run off the road a bit, to the right towards the tree, and then cut back towards the gate. Once we are squared up on the entry way we have to negoiate the fence by coming as close to it as we can without hitting it so that our RV doesn't scrape the roof of the building.In addition, if you could speak with whom ever ownes the road getting to the park it would be greatly apprciated if they would cut the tree limbs back from hanging over the road.Thank you, other than that it's a great place to camp.

We had a nice site. Bathrooms were dark though as well as very warm and stuffy. The hand blower didnt work and there were no paper towels.

Lovely campground, big sandy beach, nice winding road to ride bikes on or walk, plenty of shade, clean restrooms and campground, nice concrete pads, great staff.

Burns Run West has the best sunsets of all of Lake Texoma. Someone is always mowing there or running a string trimmer. We go there often! Clean bathrooms, too.

Very nice camp

This has the potential to be a five star campground - it has a wonderful beach area next to Lake Texoma and lots of shaded areas. The grounds themselves were well maintained BUT their bath house was the worst Ive ever experienced. There was literally mold and mildew over all the walls and ceilings. We had no choice but to use them because we have got the water sorted out in our camper yet, but it was really gross. The ants were also so so bad. Our campsite was like one giant anthill. Ive never seen so many ants in one spot in my life.

I have been a big fan of West Burns Run since I was a kid. But this year was different. It seems that the powers that be are now allowing homeless to stay in spots. I know its difficult to regulate but when a person has their broke down truck with the back window. Broken out and the hood up and the entire motor removed its a major failure for me.

Great place to unwind!

Still a major problem of people staying without paying trashing out the park, corps need a sign in front at the gate, must have a paid reservation BEFORE setting up camp. They are being aloud to ruin camping for others, things tend to disappear from the camps around them. Rangers are aware their there and do nothing, anyone with a phone can bring up Rec.gov and see they are in a open spot that they have not paid. Paying customers watch them drive by and do nothing.

We were able to pull in early as the previous people left early the day we checked in. 10 out of 10 recommended the gentleman at the gate. Super nice. Campsite was clean!

We have been going to West Burns Run for many years now. Usually camping spots A06-A09. These spots have a private beach, which is nice when you don't want your kids to bother others... lol A06-A08 are close to the bathrooms, has water, tables and a bbq/firepit... It's just a great spot for day use or overnight camping!

Nice paved camping spots with 50 amps service, water and sewer at each site. Picnic table, fire ring and grill. Looks like most of the grills have been replaced with new ones. Lots of shade trees.

Loved the park, very shady. We always love having a pull thru spot. We were close to Choctaw Casino, so of course we spent a couple of hours there. We will definitely come back

Burns Run West is a great campground with water access, trees and rather large number of sites to choose from. C loop is full hook up with the other loops having water and electric. I would recommend camping during the week because on the weekend is crowded and very noisy with a heavy party atmosphere.
@UshasriG60DDDB · Camped on Jul 19, 2025
Camp sites are beautiful. Lot of sites are right by the lake. Amazing sunset. But, I wish the Restrooms were kept clean. We only stayed one night. Restrooms were not cleaned at all. It was full of bugs & overflowing garbage.
@HunterP3A157A4 · Camped on Jul 10, 2025 at Campsite #D30
Only issue we had was centering the camper just right to get the slide out, out all the way due to a tree. D29. But it was a blast being there.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
