Such a beautiful spot to camp! Our camp spot was a little dusty and the people next to us were a little loud but its camping. You can drive down to the lake and enjoy the day!

Lake pretty dried up, many mosquitos and not allowed to cook our dinner with fire pit. Ended up making sandwiches for dinner. We left after one night and stayed at a KOA that had gas BBQ in Leavenworth. Later we stayed at Money Creek and were able to have fire pit by a river. Nice drive up there, but not nice to stay.

Our family have been camping here for the past 31 years. It's our Happy Place Love this beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and very old fashioned camping so much. It's simply AMAZING

For a campground without hookups it was good and the lake was awesome. Im surprised there wasnt even a place to dump the Rv in the campground but other than that it was great. IDE definitely go back.

This is one of my favorite places to camp. Sometimes the water level is a bit low but it's still beautiful. Biking, hiking, kayaking or just hanging out at the campsite. Camp hosts are a friendly and helpful. We love to go at least once a year.

Lake Kachess is so nice on a hot sunny day to just float around.

I reserved the site for 6 people and two cars. Upon arrival it was immediately clear that there was only space for a 4 person tent. Unable to stay, we turned around and made our 4 hour drive home

Very large and spread out campground. Decent privacy between sites. There are no public showers, so that deterred us from going in the lake (w/o being able to rinse off before bed).

Kachess is always a beautiful place to visit. Our last visit (on the 4th of July weekend) was not perfect due to the toilets on the Thetis loop not being well maintained. We only saw the camp hosts once and they seemed to be putting in fresh toilet paper and not actually cleaning. These toilets need daily cleaning during the busy season and they were not getting it.
@SilviaS04EBD28 · Camped on Jul 3, 2025 at Campsite #184
DO NOT BOOK THIS SITE. The map does not show you but the vault toilet is right next to it. Sure, someone came by daily to replenish the toilet paper and clean the inside but the smell is terrible. You sit around to enjoy yourself and the smell hits you every few minutes. It was so gross especially during meal times. That vault bathroom is used by day users and people camping so it has high traffic. We could not stand it anymore and left a night earlier. Will never come back. They need to update their maps

This campground is worth staying at and the grounds are beautiful. The lake and streams are wonderful, and the staff I encountered are nice. The general store is not consistent. Hours of operation posted but it will be closed. They don't sell ice and always out of firewood. They do clean some of the bathrooms, but the mass spider webs at the ceiling remain untouched. Having a few webs is one thing but it is clear the ceiling of the bathrooms isn't touched at all. It would go a long way to simply knock them all down to improve the experience. Be prepared to bring your own toilet paper (out often), ice and firewood. We will be back to enjoy. We will do a run 30 minutes into town for ice refills. Still a great camp place!

The lake is beautiful, swimming area was clean and accessible, and our campsite was delightful. Despite being near the water we had zero issues with mosquitoes, just the average outside bug experience. We'll definitely be back!

The setting is amazing, our particular site was generously sized (could fit 3 tents) and the vibe is great. HOWEVER, the parks generator died midday on a Saturday and water service and plumbing stopped for several hours in our loop. The bathroom is very outdated in box canyon. This beautiful park really needs some investment!

Motorhome parked in partial shade, camping with family. The Lake Kashess was a beautiful place for the Four days.
@AllanS30ADBB44 · Camped on Jun 25, 2025 at Campsite #8
The campsite was clean and very easy to access. Our visit was quiet but families were around with children and pets. The bathrooms seemed to be lacking in cleanliness, even when we tried other area bathrooms. But, overall, we had a great time and really like the campgrounds and lake.
@JenniferS83796 · Camped on Jun 23, 2025 at Campsite #7
Big site could easily fit 2 more tents on it. Water was clear and cold but fun to swim in. Bring water shoes because it's rocky! Bathrooms were cleaned daily and always had TP. Great stay

We love returning to Kachess and enjoying the large campsites, beautiful lake, and great access to hikes. The big drawback this time was the lack of bathroom maintenance in Mineral Creek loop. The water didn't seem to be on, so other campers had used the facilities many times without any flushing. It was the worst bathroom we've ever been in after years of camping.

We had a great experience at the Kachess Campground. We camped at Site: 116,Thetis Creek. The tree coverage overhead wasnt as dense compared to the other campgrounds so we could see the stars at night. Basic toilet facility just 100 to the right of our campsite. We pitched two tents and hung a rain tarp close to the fire pit. Plenty of room. Pottable water spigot close by too as well as trash dumpsters 150 to left. This site is a little more tucked away which was nice. We will be back.

Beautiful campground with wonderful trails around the lake, amazing view all around.

I have camped here for years, dating back to my childhood. Nice place, close to home. Nice area to ride bikes and kayak. The lake level has been low the last few years which is disappointing for accessing lake with kayak, etc. The general store opening last year is a nice addition. I like that there are still some sites that are first come, first serve - as well as other sites that are reservable, so fits a variety of needs.

Great service and a beautiful weekend to jump in the lake. The bathrooms were well kept and maintenance made sure of it. It was wonderful.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
