We stayed one night on our way from Spokane to the Olympic Peninsula. Campground was clean, host kept to themselves, it wasn't very busy due to being a weekday. It was first week of August and the lake was down quite aways, steep banks and pretty muddy.

Campsites are large and private. We had a large group on ours with room to spare. The only thing we found annoying was that burn ban signs were posted everywhere and we were told there were no campfires allowed. Yet at night about half the campsites had campfires burning.

Though a large campground, it is broken down into smaller areas that each feel like their own small campground. We loved Thetis Creek. Our site120was large, with good privacy from other campsites. It was right next to one of the bathrooms, which is either a plus or minus depending on your preference. Only a short walk to beach and lake access. Our host was lovely, making sure bathroom was clean regularly and checking in to make sure we had what we needed. One of the hosts even delivered ice to our site when it was late to arrive at the onsite store! Our only complaint would be that many people seem to have no idea about how to share space and talked loudly late at night and early in the morning, but our host did her best to keep things quiet at night, visiting each campsite to remind them that quiet hours start at 10.

My family camps at kachess every year and we always have a great time but this year the camp hosts were extremely rude and offensive. Jim needs to learn how to speak to people like an adult
