I spent 3 nights over the Columbus Day Weekend and had a great time. Everything from the campsite, including the fire pit, to the bathrooms was clean. Friendly staff! Camp sites are spaced well so it didn't feel like we were right on top of other campers too. We will go back.

Clear Creek is one of my family's go-to camping grounds. Grounds are always clean and in order. The scenery is always spectacular. We wish it stayed open all year.

Camping at Clear Creek was great! We were in site 51. We could see the water but didn't have access to it. That could be because the water level had already been lowered by Alabama Power. My husband had 2 bars on his cell phone, but I had none. There were three problems: 1) no place to fish from the bank, no pier, and 2) only one shower in the bath house, and 3) lots of poison ivy. Other than that, the site was spacious and shady. We liked the fire pits and the way the grill swings around and not over. We took our small golf cart but were unable to use it although we didn't read anywhere that it was prohibited. We were told it was because young people had been using them and driving fast and crazy. Seems unfair to penalize everyone. Why couldn't they just restrict users to adults with a driver's license? We were, however, able to use our electric scooter. All in all, a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful area. Showers need updated and eliminate push button spurt of water with no control over temperature. Very clean nice park. Wish there had been more trails to hike within the park itself.

We loved our stay. We really wish we could have stayed longer. The area was full of nice visitors. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The lake side was beautiful. It was nice to have bath houses all throughout the campgrounds. We will defiantly be back very soon!

Ive been camping at Clear Creek for over 40 years now. Its a pleasant and beautiful place to visit. I have camped on all loops. Hoot Owl and Bear are my favorites. The paved multi-purpose trail is a great way to get some exercise walking or biking. Its beautiful and peaceful and can be extended on the other side of the swimming area.If you bring a kayak, its easy to launch in lots of places. The hiking trails will take you below the cliffs where there are several overhanging shelters to see and explore.

The no swimming after Labor Day rule needs to change. It shouldnt matter what time of the year it is, if someone wants to swim and they paid for the campsite and amenities, they should be able to. It was 95 degrees when we were there, and we were not allowed to swim because it was after Labor Day. This alone ruined our weekend. We had to leave the Campground and go to Duncan Bridge, which is the same lake, Smith Lake, and pay to go swimming. This rule should be changed.

The site hosts are very good and constantly taking care of the campgrounds, specially the bathrooms. Their attention to detail shows. I RV here several times a year and enjoy each trip.

Gate entry - needed to call for instructions. Camp host was very helpful! Clean restrooms and showers.
@RobertH1222975 · Camped on Sep 15, 2025 at Campsite #66
It was not clear that one needed to call in advance if arriving after office hours as a result the reservation was wasted and I had to get a hotel for the night due to a locked gate and no code being provided with confirmation. Many, many times have I arrived places after hours and have never been locked out. This needs to be abundantly clear and called out separately as a warning in the Facility Information instead of a single, indirect, statement in the confirmation email. When one is on a road trip it is not always possible to read that email before arriving but a warning on the Facility Information would be highly visible.

Beautiful campground. The staff for the most part are not friendly. The Raven trail is a great hike but could be maintained better.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
