Riverside (Helena) Campground in Lewis and Clark County is located 30 min east of Helena, MT with an elevation of 3,661 feet. There are a total of 28 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid September. Sites can accommodate RVs between 40 and 90 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $15.00 to $106.00. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Campground is always a great spot! Well maintained, quiet, and the River setting you cant beat. Some electrical would be nice but other than that is it great! I jsut wish it stayed open longer, closing it in Sept is a waste of some beautiful camping weather...

Riverside Campground is a nice family Campground for people that want it quitter. I have been camping here for several years. I still miss Bob. It's not the same.

Very disappointed they dont put out the boat docks at Spokane bay. We like to stop there for a nice break on shore. Some of us are getting older and docks make it much easier to load/unload

We have camped at Riverside for a few years now. Josh, the camp host is very good at his job and very friendly. The sites are always clean and move in ready when we get there and the outhouse is always clean. IT shows that Josh takes his responsibilities to heart.

Camping experience was awesome again, but this year's trip was better than all previous ones due to your amazing and completely dedicated Camp Host, Josh! He truly cares about every single one of his campers and will do what he can to make sure they have a positive experience at the site he manages. I will go back just because of Josh again. Very nice camping area. The sound of the running water from the dam is very relaxing and peaceful. The campground is very well kept and clean. The camp host is very friendly and does a great job taking care of the facilities and grounds. We've stayed 2 years in a row and would recommend it to anyone.

Make sure you visit Recreation.gov before you go. The camp host is pretty rude about reserving your site for people just getting there. He might want to take a communication course in being friendly...

Great quiet campground with the Missouri River right there. Our space was almost perfectly level and well maintained. Great get away spot close to home

its a RV campground, but tent is ok too. All there are Rv except me and another tent. View and sunshine are good but wind is too heavy. Host is cool and kind. You can get fresh water easily. However, site fee is 15 bucks but official online reserve charged me 8 bucks reserve fee and the total 23. This made the site fee not worthwhile.

What a great host. He cares about every camper in "his" campground. The toilets are better cared for & cleaner than almost any other campground we have stayed in. We will be back.

The camp host Josh was amazing and very helpful. Josh does an excellent job keeping the facilities and campsites immaculately clean. The sites are well laid out with many pull throughs. It was peaceful and quiet on our stay.

There was no swimming in the lake due to bacteria and it was over 95 degrees. Also the flies were terrible, possibly due to the overloaded garbage receptacle which also smelled terribly. There was no privacy; my husband and I felt like a personal viewing opportunity for the couple across from us who sat in their lawn chairs for 5+ hours watching us put up our tent, cook dinner, etc. However, the bathrooms were clean.
