The sites are pretty small and close together, not a lot of space for a tent. I'm glad I purchased 2 spaces next to each other. 2 tents would have never fit into one space, even with 1 tent it was too close to the fire pit for safety. Our picnic table was practically touching the neighbors tent. Without having the 2 spaces it wouldn't have been enough space for a family. Odd piles of rocks randomly. They kind of need an overhaul and maybe somehow separate the spots so people stay within their own space

Please DO NOT bring the camp host back next year!! They are quite lazy. Bathrooms are usually not horrible and this 4 days we were camping, they were absolutely disgusting! Come on, it was Labor Day weekend! You don't EVER see the woman, just the man and VERY RARELY!! They are not available like camp hosts should be and they are clearly not peoply people. They don't welcome you (like the guy previously did). Our fire pit was completely full of ash and there was trash under the picnic table...Pretty sure all that should have been taken care of before we got there so we could enjoy our camping spot, but we had to clean it up before we could.

They need to make camp spot big for camper to greet in out easier.

Camp Host is wasting space for someone who could be more helpful and understanding of what and why people go camping. Allows buddies to play loud music whenever they want, ruining the peaceful environment.

Everything was good accept for the non stop barking dogs. That needs to be addressed because even people just enjoying the lake down there gets disrupted by that. And I love dogs!

Tight spaces, hopefully your neighbors are friendly. I will try somewhere else next time.

Place was alright. Small spaces

Excellent location, scenic sites. Some sites are very spacious but a few have almost no room even for a small 1-2 person tent and a car top tent would be the only option in this case. Fortunately I was able to change sites once I arrived or it would not have been a great exprience. Overall great campground, will return.

Campsites in the lower numbers are closest to the lake. Be sure to bring swimsuits, kayaks, beach chairs and inflatable toys. Also bring shade shelters as there are no trees near the water's edge.

First time ever and it was amazing!!! Nothing to complain about!

Beautiful lake access, decent campsite size, and clean bathrooms! The only thing that I didnt love was the entrance because its right in front of a big turn. Obviously theres no controlling that but just be aware! I would definitely stay here again. Probably in a site closer to the lake if possible but the entire campsite is an easy walk to the beach area.

Campground was very clean. We were surprised at the number of day-users but that didnt impact our stay. We were out in our kayaks most of the day.

Campsite was way to small

Beautiful spot, great sites. One o f the bathrooms was pretty gnarly, the camp host needed to take a hose to it, it was real stank. Otherwise a perfect camping stay. Will be staying here again.

My site had no shade all day but the paddling I did on the lake and the easy access made up for it. The campground is also day use area and locals love it. The toilets were always clean and the camp host does a great job of maintaining the sites and the beach.

We booked a site online and then when we arrived, someone else was already set up on our site. They said they had reserved that site months ago. We went to the camp Host, who had an Off Duty sign added to his Camp Host sign. We asked him to help us with the mix up regarding the site we reserved. He said we should talk to the people on our site and tell them to leave. He did not come to the site, nor was he willing to check any reservation records. We had the impression a lot of site reservations were mixed up in this campground, and that the camp Host really didnt care.

We love camping at Canyon Ferry's Chinaman campground. Spots 7 & 8 are on the look right by the water. It can get a little warm mid-day, but you get a great breeze off the lake at night. It is a great little cove to explore and there are plenty of spots to put your chair in the water and just watch the world go by. Kim's Marina is right next store so if you forgot anything you can pick it up there. Nick, this year's camp host, is a great resource and we look forward to seeing him and Scooter every time we stay.

Camp host always seemed to be off duty. Not sure what all their duties are or when they should be around.Noisy group one night until about midnight. Bathrooms were clean.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
