Longshoal Campground in Benton County is located 1 hr 25 min southeast of Lee's Summit, MO with an elevation of 715 feet. There are a total of 94 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 103 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 44 sites have electric and water hookups. 38 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $15.00 to $25.00. Some amenities include shower, playground, boat ramp, swimming, marina, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.
ATTENTION TRUMAN LAKE CAMPERS: Beginning on March 1, 2026, spring (March 1-April 14) and fall (October 1-November 30) shoulder camping seasons will be by reservation only. Cash and checks will not be accepted. As with past shoulder seasons, reduced camping rates are in effect due to reduced amenities (waterborne facilities are closed, no park attendants on duty). Reservations may be made in advance or on the day of arrival through www.recreation.gov. Please do not set up on a campsite without first reserving that site.
Campers, after 14 days camping on one campsite, must vacate the campground for a minimum of 24 hours. This includes all belongings.
Campers must have a working mode of transportation available.

Despite being well past season opening date, no facilities were available. All showers and restrooms were locked, forcing us to cut our vacation short and leave early.

Very nice campground, was there before the flush toilets had been turned on, there is only one vault toilet in the campground, other than that very nice spaces and great location

Always enjoy staying in this park, especially, when there aren't any rowdy parties going on with the neighbors,....Very peaceful, and quiet otherwise.

It was a beautiful little site! Nice cement pads with new hookups. We went early in the year and the water wasnt turned on yet. Everything else was great!

Beautiful campground. This was our first time out in our camper and it was great. The site was level which made setup easy. We had an awesome sunrise view of the lake. We will be back!

Great site with good shade and close to the showers. We love this campground with so many sites close to the water, and especially the ones with water hookups.

I have been to Long Shoals in the past and have always been pleased with how clean and friendly. The people are that work here. The bathrooms are always nice and clean no trash laying around the campground. I enjoy coming here. It had been a while so my daughter wanted to see what it was like and she was pleased also

We love this campground, but site 46 has very limited shade and it was very hot during our stay. I will select a different site when making future reservations. The lake view is great and lots of grass space if you camp with dogs.

Wonderful park attendant and custodian, the facilities and park are excellent. The scenery, sunset, moonrise, moon glow, wildlife, peace, its all here.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful campground :) Will definitely be camping there again!There is no firewood available at the campground. But there is a convenience store called "Puddle Jumpers" that is only about an 8-10 minute drive away that sells firewood bundles and other basic necessities. There is also a Dollar General grocery store about the same distance away :)

Love it there so close to the water relaxing spacious camping spots so your not crowded to your neighbors the people that work there are so nice and great it was my first time there definitely will go back again

The site was of good size. I wish it would have been full hook up. Stopping on way out to dump is a little annoying. For $40 a night I would expect it. The bathhouses could use some updating. Felt like a prison shower. The marina was right next door. The restaurant had great food and service. Overall, 3 out of 5 stars.
