We were directed to Piney Grove because the campground we were trying to check into was full, we didn't know Piney Grove existed, now we do and they will be a go-to any time we are in that area and need a place to stay.Piney Grove was a welcome surprise, a very nice park and very reasonably priced, check it out if you are in the area.

Just enjoyed sitting by the water campground was beautiful. Camping spot was great. Just enjoyed the water and the peace in the quiet. It was great.

Halloween at Piney Grove was magical this year!! Bobby and Brenda Owen, who work at the gate during the summer and volunteer in the off season always help us with whatever we need. Park Rangers are the best, especially Ben Davis!!

Piney Grove is a very lovely campground. Mature trees, nice asphalt roads throughout, easy access to the water for fishing (on piers or from the bank), and a well maintained beach provide for an overall good experience. Be aware there is no Wi-Fi at the site, although there used to be. We brought along a Wi-Fi device I purchased online and still was not able to get onto the internet on my phone. For me, that is a big deal since I have to do a limited amount of work while I'm camping. I find most of the camp hosts to be friendly and responsive to questions. (A few are not as friendly and helpful as most.)

We love this place. So much better than almost any state park. Campsites are clean. Everything works. Its generally very quiet but, of course, there will be kids playing from time to time. The lake (Tenn-Tom waterway) is there for water sports. You are surrounded by giant pine trees in a peaceful environment. Just a great campsite.

Nice area for camping. Facilities are run down. Amphitheater needs repair, bath house doors, and light fixtures rusting, boat ramp closed off due to broken concrete, fishing piers need repair. Lots of campers- dont understand why they dont have money to fix things.

Campsites and bathrooms were ok. Lake was nice for water activities. Campground was busy on the weekend and there is no enforcement of unleashed dogs and parking vehicles and boats along roadway.

Site 64 was perfect. Level site with a view of the water. Bath houses were clean but need to be updated. It would be nice if they had fire wood for sale.
