ATT was about 3 bars and the sites are great, yes some are not as level as most so do check which site you book - We have a 25ft galleria and site 11 was level without blocks, there are better sites to watch for barges - 44 would be the best and 118 would be another but there are a lot of great sites at this park. There is a trail that you can walk and a walk way between campground to beach.

We were at Piney Grove for fishing trip and had a wonderful time in spite of the high water due to the recent flooding. The campsite and staff were great.

The stay was good all the the way until the Friday night when camp host Bobby Owen ran me down with his golf cart and told me I couldn't go to the garbage dump, I was hauling off my garbage from my niece's and my camp ,we were only 2 site's from each other and were cooking at her site. He was rude, aggressive, and over stepping his authority, telling me he would throw me out of the park, I am 72 years old and handicapped, I have to have my golf cart to get around on as I cannot walk very much. I was not riding around the park, just doing what I needed to do. That camp host ruined my whole stay at this camp ground. I had no problem until he came on Friday night, all the rest of the employees were nice and respectful. He had no respect. He should not have a job dealing with elderly with his attitude. I was supposed to leave on Sunday but decided to leave on the next morning, Saturday. If he is there next year there is a great chance I won't be. It was the first time I had a problem at any camp of the camp grounds at Recreation.gov I hope I never have to experience it again. I don't have that many more years to enjoy my visitation with my relatives at these camp grounds and would like to have what few that are left in peace. I later learned that he being a camp host did not have the authority to run me down and threaten me to get thrown out anyway.

Hands down the best campground we visited on our winter travels. We had a beautiful pull-through waterfront site. We did spend a few hours in the bathhouse/storm shelter one night, so that was fun. Awesome host couple too!

Site 18, Full Shade, Limited Starlink connectivity. Close to the lake with water view. Picnic table and fire ring on site 50Amp power and water site only. Services worked great. Plenty of room for our Motorhome, site was level. Saw some deer in the evenings and mornings. Would come back to stay again.

Sites mostly level and campground was clean. Yappy dog was annoying.

We had a great 2-night stay at Piney Grove. We have two small kids and they had a blast. They liked climbing through the trees and looking for sticks, and there was room to kick a ball on the beach even though it was too cold to swim. There was also a playground at the campsite. 20 minutes away was the John Whitten Lock and Dam Museum. It was the tiniest little museum, but it was free, the woman working there was so nice, and the kids got to see bones and turtle shells and canal models.We came from the north (Hwy 30) and there was a little one-stop shop that had gas and snacks. It probably also had firewood, but we didn't need to buy any because there was lots of fallen deadwood around our campsite.

This was an overnight stop while we were traveling the Natchez Trace. The spots were gravel and concrete, level, and had nice spacing. The laundry facility designation needs to be removed. We were told it never reopened after COVID. We would stay here again.

Pros: Host was amazing, huge, well spaced out sites, clean, but dated bathhouse, with sink(woman's side only)for doing dishes. Cons: Out in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you are well stocked up before getting into area. Cell service is spotty & only 3 TV channels...all PBS. Would defiantly return, if in area.

We were meeting friends there. It has water and electric which makes a huge difference in the fall. Its a truly beautiful location and enjoyed watching the barges go by.

The one staff we met was a cut above.in appreciation I gave him a loaf of pumpkin bread. He was often seen driving about and thoroughly clean and blew off each site before a new camper came in to stay.Campground was well kept.

Very hospitable camp hosts! Beautiful lakefront! Campsites are spacious! Short drive to Tupelo!

Some of the best campsites around. Most on the lake and well maintained. Bath houses are adequate but need a bit of work.
@GaryDuan526A67 · Camped on Nov 15, 2024 at Campsite #9
Beautiful campground! Many sites right on the water and even those that arent you can still see the lake. You can fish from one of the piers or right off the bank. It is heavily wooded with lots of shade. I sewer at the sites but a dump station is present. We diund a little store about 4 miles away where were able to purchase worms for fishing. We loved it so much we cant wait to go back.
@LauraC7322672 · Camped on Nov 7, 2024 at Campsite #116
Bathrooms a little dated, supposedly scheduled for maintenance during the off season. Shower in women's bathroom was continually running. The vent covers had already been installed for the winter and the bathhouse was wet with steam and humidity due to very warm temps. A box fan would have been a great addition. Approach signs to the park are very hard to see at night (reflective properties faded).Otherwise, great park, great views of lake, hosts very friendly.
@SueB3652694 · Camped on Nov 5, 2024 at Campsite #116
Beautiful campsite overlooking the water. Campsites are large and level! A little distant from dining (30 minutes to Marietta), but this is a very peaceful spot in early November. We would love to come back in warmer weather and enjoy kayaking on the lake!.

We track all the sites so you don't have to.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
