I dont understand why people are allowed to bring their barking, uncontrolled dogs as well as leaving all these string lights & bucket lights as well as exterior camper lights blaring when theyve gone in for the night! This is not your backyard but a public are for those of us that want to experience nature!

We had a great 2-night stay at Piney Grove. We have two small kids and they had a blast. They liked climbing through the trees and looking for sticks, and there was room to kick a ball on the beach even though it was too cold to swim. There was also a playground at the campsite. 20 minutes away was the John Whitten Lock and Dam Museum. It was the tiniest little museum, but it was free, the woman working there was so nice, and the kids got to see bones and turtle shells and canal models.We came from the north (Hwy 30) and there was a little one-stop shop that had gas and snacks. It probably also had firewood, but we didn't need to buy any because there was lots of fallen deadwood around our campsite.

Site was clean and we enjoyed the stay. We were there with four other family members and a friend. Very pleasant stay.

We love Piney Grove. Site 12 was a great spot to spend a few days enjoying the cooler weather by a campfire.

beautiful park, clean facilities. Site fit our 44' fifth wheel and truck. We did back the camper as far back as we could to give more room up front. I have a Starlink so I can work remote. While the site is too wooded to put it on the camper, I was able to set it at the back of the site near the lake and get a good signal. My AT&T and Verizon did not get a good enough signal to stream or use zoom.

We loved our campsite (#12)! And loved Piney grove overall. We will definitely be back! My suggestions for improvement, however, would be please put some sort of fans at least in the bathrooms!Tent camping July is extremely hot, and at the end of the day when you get a shower, it would be nice to get completely dressed before you start sweating again.Also there was no soap provided at the bathhouse sinks..... I think providing soap for proper hand washing would be more beneficial than the laundry facilities still locked and closed down due to Covid-19.

Beautiful.My only criticism is that one host looks like they have lived there for years. The campsite is strewn with stuff, and his dogs were outside in a fenced area unattended. It looks like some of the mobile homes outside the park.

Although there were a lot of campers around us, the camping week was very quiet and pleasant even though there was a lot of rain for those 4 days. Enjoyed the rest. Camped at site 012 and we would take out chair out to the pier just up from there. Nice breeze blowing and not too hot during the days.
