Pro: its a great location with close proximity to DC and Baltimore, restaurants, and shopping. The campground was largely empty so I felt like I had the place to myself. Con: I was asked to move from B loop to D loop because Bs bathroom was closed for a maintenance issue. Not a big deal. The bathroom in D loop was fine but the shower ran out of hot water quickly. Normally not a big deal, but it was below freezing outside.

Love it hereEven though we are in the pitch black woods I still feel safe and love that I can choose how close I can be to the rangers station

I like the fact that the camp area was easy to navigate at night. I didn't even need a flashlight to head to the bathrooms. I will say that I was unhappy that the shower facility was down, however the notification was on the website. Keep up the good work!!!

Coming from New York and able to access the campground via DC metro was awesome! Being located in a great area where if I needed anything it was accessible. The only con I truly had issue was the bathroom situation. Loop B was only Loop open for Camper and Loop A was where I had to go to use the bathroom because the bathroom in Loop B was closed. The Portable bathroom was a mess. If just suggest a daily maintenance of Portable bathroom in these type of situations.

The site was very large! Plenty of room for several tents if needed. We had to walk to loop A for showers but it wasnt too far. The car sounds from the highway were there but the campground is so close to everything it was worth it!

Our group had a great time at the campsite. The parking staff was very friendly. Can't wait to do this again next year

This is a bare bones campground. We boondocked in our 13 foot camper. They had water available in many locations so refilling our tank was easy. There were bathrooms and showers. Dated but ok. Will be staying again as our daughter is in school nearby. The trails were nice.

Clean bathrooms with tp. Beautiful park, Loop D is somewhat close to the highway so you can hear cars driving. We found ticks on us so make sure you check before you leave. Bbq pit is convenient.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Greenbelt! The campsites were maintained. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. I loved all of the trails to hike and that the wooded areas were left in their natural state. I will camp here again in the future.

Close to the metro. You can go to DC and see everything then come back to the parking and its a ten minute drive to camp. So very Clean restrooms and bathhouse. Spotty cell service. Be patient to let things load. Very nice Rangers. Dont pick 108. The parking area is kind of right beside the road so the road and your parking area mix.

Love the spot i chose as it seemed yo have a bit more privacy than other spots. The only drawback of the grounds is hearing street traffic and seemingly neighborhood dogs barking.

Our site was a good distance from bathroom, nice size with plenty of room for our tent. The camp fire ring is high which was harder for keeping warm but good for cooking. We could hear noises from cars in the road but we also heard an owl!
@ElizabethM1936 · Camped on Oct 3, 2025 at Campsite #95
The campground is expansive and well maintained. I camp and sleep out of my car so their policy is only one night if you are traveling in this fashion.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
