At first I was like who is playing all of this bass and music?!? It dawned on me later it was coming from the High School Football game right across the street. Something to check if its a Friday night in Fall. Also loud motorcycles racing on the highways at 4am, so not a good night sleep. I was in c101 and the car at the site was about 8 feet from my table. Shower was serviceable.

It was just a short stay and very convenient .The loop and facilities are a bit sad looking but we will definitely be back.

We accidentally pulled into the wrong camping spot across the road from the spot wed reserved. There were very few campsites occupied and it was nearly dark. The campground host would not allow us to stay overnight in the sIte where we were parked and set up even though there was no reservation for that site for the day we were there. It was an annoyance to have to pack up and move across the road to the site wed reserved.

We used our stay here to visit Washington DC on a budget. Overall the campground was very good. We stayed in C loop and the bathrooms (at least the toilets and sinks) were cleaned every day. That is one of the most important things to me. The site was okay. It was rough in some spots and there were roots/tree stumps around but it served its purpose. We did not see anyone that works there at all. I do wish that they would give some information about locations to buy firewood in the area. That was very challenging to find. Other campers were quiet and courteous for the most part. There was one tent where the couple fought one evening. We also had something minor taken from our campsite while we were out one day, but of course that could happen anywhere. Overall a great option if you are visiting the city and one that we will do again.

Location is conveniently close to Washington, DC. My campsite was fine. There seemed to be only one womens shower in Loop B and it was pretty gross. I only stayed one night; not sure Id want to stay longer.

The camping is 25 minutes drive to DC and not far from a metro parking (5USD a day I was told). Facility was generally clean, but some (most) sites have very small areas to put the tents. We started at B but C is much more quiet as tents only and therefore no generators. There was some waste around the site. Bottom line, camping is economic and practical and even rather under-crowded but it does not have the experience of other recreation.gov camping as some visitors don't seem to come for purely recreation proposes. The ranger is great!

Great hidden gem, surprised its not more crowded. Cant beat it for the price! Nice base for trips into DC, short drive to Metro.

Clean bathrooms, shady campsites, lots of trees, exterior of loops very private seeming, love coming here several times a year, close to DC

Bathrooms were horrendous. Showers had a pull curtain with no privacy. The campground host looked liked he lived in his van and was homeless and when he did come out which wasnt much he sped through the park doing over 30mph. Campsites were full of broken glass and hazards. We left early and will never come back.

This was my second time booking and staying at this campground after attending a concert at Northwest Stadium. It serves its purpose of allowing me to get a few hours of sleep before heading back home. This last time, I booked the incorrect site (a scout site). The park ranger called me and explained that I needed to modify my reservation. I mentioned to him that my plans had changed and I only needed to stay one night instead of two. Because of this change, he advised me to cancel my current reservation and create a new booking. He said that recreation.gov would refund me $10 but that he would then ensure I got the other $30 back for the first reservation. I was fine with that and continued making the second reservation and paying the additional $20. It is now almost a month later and Ive attempted to make contact with the park ranger but have not received a call back and have not received the refund that he told me I would get.

The ranger was really nice, and super helpful. He suggested the perimeter trail around the park, which was super fun!

Very enjoyable experience. The one thing that needs attention is the men's bathroom in the B Loop has a leak that appears to be from one of the toilettes. Other than that a good experience.

The campsites are mostly wooded and generously sized. Campers in Loop B were quiet and the host was pleasant. The rangers were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean but a bit dilapidated. The shower house in our loop was closed for maintenance when we arrived so we walked to another loop. It reopened the last day which was much appreciated.

Homeless with shopping carts in multiple camp sites. We were awoken by an assault- woman screaming/glass breaking and park police around 2am. Next day there was blood in sinks and blood clots in womens shower.It has nice trails and proximity to metro (2 miles recommend driving), sites are generally nicely wooded.Drive around area before reserving- dont stop if you still see blue tarps or shopping carts.A shame as this campground is close to being a great one.

My husband and I had a great time at this camp ground, there is a great hiking trail that goes around the circumference of the site. Some spots are better than others for sure, but we liked the D loop the best because it was so grassy and private. The process getting there was very smooth and bathrooms and water stations were a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Campsite was good, staff was great. Bathroom is a bit on the small side for a group site (2 stalls + 1 shower on the mens side). The location is great for group trips into the DC area.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
