Best kept secret for Washington Camping and RVS. There is a dump, great and helpful personal. There are trails and fresh potable water, excellent location for visiting the region. Baltimore, DC, and Annapolis are within a 45 minute drive.

I made a same-day reservation and arrived rather late (10 p.m.) to find my campsite marked for me and easy to pitch my tent on without bothering other campers. The campground is well separated from its larger urban context; its beautifully forested and no road noise reached my site. Restrooms are spartan but clean and well-kept. Not that a few of the restrooms lack showers. I saw wild turkeys on my drive out.

- there is a road down to metro station at college park. By bike you will be there in 15 minutes. Up takes a little longer. The road is in bad condition, be careful!

Easy access to DC including nearby Metro. Very reasonable rates with basic campground amenities.

Michelle and Karen were so helpful in making my stay a great experience. Greenbelt Campground is the perfect place for an RVer to base themselves for sightseeing in Washington DC. The subway station at University of Maryland is a little less then a two mile walk for those who don't mind the walk. And the Greenbelt subway station has an oversize vehicle parking lot if you drive your RV there. Both stations have plenty of car parking. The park is a beautiful wooded area in the middle of a city that has all your shopping needs. The camping fees are very reasonable.

A pretty spot with a helpful host. We weren’t here long. We did have some trouble with our reservations here. They did not show as paid even though we paid online before hand. They tried to charge us. We did eventually sort it out but it required several emails and phone calls.
