Laurel Branch Campground in Breckinridge County is located 49 min west of Elizabethtown, KY with an elevation of 563 feet. There are a total of 61 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 82 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 47 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. 1 site has water hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $56.00. Some amenities include wifi, playground, swimming. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

We enjoyed staying at our favorite camp site after a few years away. Site was still beautiful but it was sad the campground had declined significantly due to poor maintenance.1. Only one latrine was open for the entire C loop; the other one was locked. And the one that was open ran out of TP; no one restocked it so we started bringing our own. 2. Signage for different campground sections (loops) was almost non-existent which was confusingand we've camped here before!3. Campsite numbers were missing at some sites. Ours only showed one digit.4. The electrical outlet at fish cleaning station is gone, which was helpful in blowing up air mattresses, etc. We had to truck ours to the shower house.5. The shower house was nice having private bathroom/shower rooms with a passcode. However, the plumbing was in disrepair. It worked but valve to switch from shower wand to fixture head at the wall was broken so both just ran water continuously.6. There was apparently an underground water leak where you can see ground soaked and percolating up under asphalt in one of the campsites.Overall this is a nice and quiet campground and well likely return. Just wont expect things to be in working order.

The corp of engineers needs to put a full time person back on the the job at the park. Volunteers are not getting the job done.

Sites in B loop ate somewhat small and the wifi is questionable at best.

The bathrooms by c46 were beyond disgusting. I don't expect perfect bathrooms while camping, but I was afraid to sit down to use the restroom in there it was so filthy.

Section A at Laurel Branch is so peaceful and quiet. Plenty of shade on most campsites. Restrooms and bathhouses are clean. Close to the boat ramp. It's just perfect. I use T-Mobile for internet service and it works very well.

When we got there , the people before us emptied their black waist tank out on the ground, and we called the core of engineer and they came and verified thats exactly what happened, they wanted to pour bleach on the ground, but we had two dogs with us, so that didnt happen,we didnt even get a discount

Enjoyed our spot near the boat ramp! It was great to be able to wake up and lookout over the water! Also, loved the facilities that were available!

The garbage was over flowing, restrooms werent clean and out of TP. The attendant was hard to reach. The last day we had extremely intrusive neighbors that were blaring music until 4 am and bombarding our campsite near the water. Trash was everywhere- which we understand had to do with the water levels but it was disappointing to have to deal with.

Refund issues

No one was in the check in station when I arrived nor was there anyone there throughout the week. The host came to my campsite and checked me in and that's the last I saw of him/her. The fire pit was completely full, items left by the precious campers including trash. I've been camping here for a number of years and never have conditions at the campsite been this terrible.
