i paid for a rv spot with electrical service as shown when booking the site. then i read that no electric service was provided. so i tried to cancel and received no refund. the entire recreation.gov website is a great example of bloatware. very poorly set up for simply booking campsites.

The campground was very clean and easy to access. Plenty of fishing and a beautiful scenic spot at the end of the park tucked away to the right.

We've always loved it there, but it hasn't been kept well this year. The men's bathroom was nasty, the men's shower was nasty, and the shower wasn't working at all. We always carry a tool box with us and fortunately my husband is a retired maintenance supervisor so he was able to get it working again. The information about the men's shower and bathroom came from my husband, I certainly didn't go in there. The women's bathroom wasn't much better and the shower room was in pretty sad shape as well. There were used discarded women's monthly products just thrown down on the bench and in the floor, discarded used razors, empty drink cans. We've been going there for years and this was the worse we've ever seen it. We only saw the camp host once while we were there and we never saw anyone at the check in station. Hopefully it will be better next year, we do wish Tailwaters would have water and electricity later in the fall. The end of September is just too quick for shutting it off. We don't get to camp much until September and October and we would certainly be there in October if there was electricity and water.

The host was very nice, other campers were nice and considerate. The campground needs the State to appropriate money for upgrades. Gravel, drainage, leveling sites and a bigger bath house. Also keeping the campground open thru and into November. These improvements could make this campground anAsset to the state and also make it competitive with campgrounds offered in surrounding states such as Tennessee.

When booking the site we booked for our camper and 2 vehicles. Apon arrival the site was too small for our camper let alone 2 extra vehicles. Causing major confusion, although they did finally put us in a site big enough for the camper.

The park was still dealing with the massive floods from previous month. Generally speaking, park maintenance was not up to speed as other COE parks we camped at. Camp Hosts were friendly and helpful.

No electricity or water hookup (understandably during winter) but then why the $16 fee??

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
