Outlet (Melvern) Campground in Osage County is located 43 min south of Topeka, KS with an elevation of 979 feet. There are a total of 152 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. 137 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 137 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $66.00. Some amenities include dump station, laundry facility, boat ramp, swimming, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.
Attention all campers, the laundry facilities are permanently closed to all park guests.

This is a very nice park. We were pleasantly surprised to find it in Kansas. We have stayed here a couple of times now. We will be back.

I Have been to Melvern - outlook several times. This area is always well kept maintained. Nice area. It is my Favorite place to camp. I would Highly recommend this area for anyone.

With severe weather going through campground no one checked to see if all rvs were ok after strong storm. Someone driving through that had authority would have been reassuring.

This is a jewell of a campground! They take pride in keeping it well maintained and a beautiful place to camp! We had site 126 and backs up to the water. Absolutely no complaints, except for the dog poo another camper didn't clean up after. :(

The camp was beautiful, well manicured. The bathrooms were also clean. My husband and I enjoyed a hot shower! We are looking forward to our next stay.

The Staff was great and very helpful. Our site was level and Full hook ups which I was surprised as I was unaware of the sewer hookup at site. We had a nice view of the Lake and plenty of green space to walk the dog and enjoy. Our time there was rainy, so we didn't get to fully enjoy our time outside. But we will stay here again as it was an easy off of Hwy 75 - our path we use coming from TX and OK. It would be an easy short trip to for a 7-14 day stay. We didn't use the bathhouse, but it looked clean. The pavillion across from our site was really nice with a big grill and water/ sinks in the area.

Park was very clean and camp host was very informative. My husband judged the Barbecue Contest in Osage City so we decided to camp for a few days along with other friends. Very nice park.

Picture Perfect. My family of four tent camped here one night. We could have easily stayed 2+. The sunset was stunning on the lake. We loved star-gazing. Grassy area was perfect for our tent by our site. (#136, C-loop). It was full- but quiet as everyone else was in a camper. Clean bathrooms. Lots of kindling around on the trail. This was a highlight of our trip to KS from GA.

Not only the most beautiful camp around, but Curtis and Brenda, the clean up crew keep the place immaculate. The gate keeper and the rangess are all so helpful and friendly.

Our stay at Melvern Outlet was extremely relaxing. Setting up was quick and easy and our site was perfectly located for our activities (fishing, biking, walking trails). Nearby locations provided opportunities for meaningful day trips.

Outlet Melvern is very peaceful. The park is mostly flat, with many walking/bike paths.

Fantastic place to camp. Site C117 was easy to back into, very spacious and shaded. Grass was freshly cut. Hiking paths are absolutely wonderful! Paved parking is wide and level. Concrete patio is large and so convenient. Camp hosts were very helpful and the campsites are impeccably maintained. Bathhouse was clean. Verizon excellent. You cannot go wrong staying here. It is a very popular place.

Overnight stay. Nice and quite. Bathrooms and Showers were open. Yellow light in bathroom made difficult to see, not sure of the reason maybe dark sky area.
