The camping spot was nice and clean.

This park is approximately 8 miles off Hwy 169. If you approach from the north do not follow your gps instructions, it will take you down a gravel road for several miles, continue on to Main St, those streets are all paved. This park is a little wierd as none of the sites are on the water, there are a few that you can get a peek a boo view of the water.

We met our friends who took a drive thru slot and us a back in slot. We loved the shade provided by the trees and the breezes thru them. Going for walks were enjoyable by us and our pets. It was good to see people picked up after their pets. Unfortunately our friends had to pick up cigarette buts left by the last campers. We left some firewood for campers across from us. Everyone seemed friendly and we did enjoy our stay.

We found Cherryvale Campground quite relaxing given our stay was 4 days, Monday to Thursday, and very quiet. Cherryvale was mowed, clean and well maintained.

A very clean and inviting campground. The few people we met were very friendly. Will definitely return.

Cherryvale is excellent, and was great the first couple of days , the problem was Friday night ,since there is no host the folks in G1 thought it was OK to blast music for about 4 hours and late into the evening. We have stayed there before and no issues . If there is no host then we need a number for a ranger or something to manage the location.

Overall experience was good. Weather cooperated wonderfully. Just wish Wifi was available. Also learned of another route to the camping area without having to drive on gravel for 2 miles.

Campground was good. We had a good spot. The bathrooms/shower house were nasty. Looks like they hadnt been cleaned all year maybe longer. We saw one person a young lady stop early one day and swept the outside went inside the mens bathroom for about 30 seconds came back out and left. Ive never seen a corp campground not taken care of. The corp should really follow up on there contracts and cancel those not being fulfilled.

Overall a pleasant camping trip. It would've been much better if we had an easier access to the water and trails. We had to go through campsites to access it which was awkward. Everything looked overgrown.

Enjoyed our visit. The only problem I ended up with Oak Mites I guess from the trees. I would tell anyone to use some kind of bug repellant.

Park was a little unkempt but it was very pretty. Camp host site was empty but trash at site was full and had stuff still at site. I called and asked if things had been abandoned and was told no that he had to leave to have camper work done and would be coming and back and leaving again. Just thought that to be a strange business practice. But was very quite.

Cherryvale park is a nice camp site, common areas were clean and well taken care of. Main issue was several of the "full" service sites, i.e., those with sewer - in several of the spots, including ours, the sewer connection was at least a foot or more "above" the trailers outlet making it impossible to really utilize the sewer. We used the dump station on the way out. Also, we thought the picnic tables, (all concrete) were too far from the camper, many down rocky uneven paths, also making them somewhat impractical for us because we have to use canes or walkers to get around.

This place is a complete hidden gem. I could not recommend this place enough. The beach was gorgeous and clean with cabanas. The literal only issue we had was power to our campers. Our group was using three camp sites and all three of our sites getting enough power. We kept flipping breakers the whole time we were there.

The site sits so low that the black and grey tanks were unable to be drained, the sewer opening was encased in concrete about a foot higher than the pad. Not up to the standards we have seen at other federal parks.

Grass was not mowed.needed to be sprayed for mosquitoes & flies.It is a great place for camping

Nice spot. Shady. Only issues sewer hookup ran uphill. Hard to dump tanks.

We enjoyed the group camp site especially the shelter. We are able to visit, cook, and have group meals. It is close to playground& restrooms. The kids have room to run and play. My one big suggestion is some fans in the restrooms. It is so hot and stifling in them, it is dangerous.

We stayed in the north loop and it was very pleasant. It was nice and quiet so we were able to sit and visit with family. We enjoyed out cook outs and walks. It was a great experience. The lake and campground is so close to Cherryvale so it is easy to run into town to see family and pick up anything that we might need.

The Group Site #G-1-SL00 is a favorite for our big group camping gathering. There are 6 typical trailer usable camping spots, and 1 popup or very small trailer usable spot. The small spot is 'Y'd' off another spot, you have to park in the 'Y' first, or hand truck in your camper. All spots have water, electric and sewer hookups.This group loop, is slightly private having it's own drive through loop off the main camping area; features a large covered shelter with 5 permanent tables; indoor fireplace; 2 separate plug outlets (that do NOT have enough power); night light that can be turned on during the day; large elevated outdoor fire ring; built in outdoor benches and a small camping table with benches (kid sized).Our group loves to camp here. Things that need improving are: More amperage for outlets in the shelter (we can only run 1 electric skillet and NOTHING else, or we pop the breaker on the pole and have to have camp hosts come reset, which is not fast). Better tree removal at the camping spots for campers moving in. There needs to be a way for a single or a couple of people that come in early for group camping to be able to pay for their 1 slot without having to rent the entire group for 1 night.The lake is fabulous for fishing, verrrrrryyyy boat busy on weekends, and features a beach.8 out of 10 recommend.

Stayed in the #10 spot and there was a large loud group in the pavilion and there were a number of dogs barking all day. No relaxing was had that weekend. We checked out better spots for more seclusion.

The campground itself was very nice but the pit toliet was filthy and smelled horribly causing that whole loop to smell.

Our campsite had small pieces of trash around. Didn't appear camphost cleaned our campsite. The grill had leftover burned charcoal. Bathrooms & shower rooms were dirty, lots of bugs & cobwebs inside showers & bathrooms. No soap or sanitizer to wash hands..I am very good disappointed & will never stay here again

The park was beautiful and clean as it always is when we come to Big Hill. It is my wife and my favorite place to camp. This is the first time we camped on this side of the lake as we needed to have sewer and the other side does not have sewer. My problem was the slope of the campsite was so steep that the tongue of my trailer was literally on the ground and I was still not able to get fully level. So I will camp on this side of the lake again, but will have written down some more level spots.

Shower house had water backing up in the women's so we went to the other side and they were better.

Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The only negative was that the concrete pad for the RV was partially covered in dirt washed in by rains several days earlier...had not been cleaned since. Fortunately, we came prepared with a shovel and broom.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
