The campground was very nice and clean. We went from a Monday to a Wednesday, so it was less crowded. Also, rain was in the forecast. We did get a little rain, like for one hour when we arrived, but that was really it.The campsites don't have too much privacy, meaning I could see our neighbors clearly. Compared to other sites these were small and only enough room for one tent good size tent, or maybe two four person tents.There was plenty of room and completely paved for RVs and trailers. Most campsites had a complete pull-through, so there was no backing up.The bathroom stalls are family oriented (no male/female) and were clean; however, some people don't put the lid down to maintain a fresh smell. It would be nice to have hand sanitizer in the bathroom, which some campsites do have, so bring this with you.

Booked 3 nights over the weekend first night was great but 2nd night a group shows up late and decided they want to play loud music. Which is fine durring the day but the camp site had signs posted everywhere about a 11pm cutoff for noise. The group decided they diddent want to follow that rule. You would think the hosts would possibly do somthing about it but nope. They are more concerned about toilet paper and over priced fire wood then enforcing the rules. So we decided to leave early. This is the second time we have been to Kaibab lake campground and the 2nd time there has be a negative experience. first time teenagers were fighting and racing up and down the campground and now this time people partying till 4am pointing their headlights at peoples tents while the hosts do nothing. We wont be coming back eventho the campground itself is great. Figured new managment would better but guess not.

The process for check in is quite different with the hosts standing out by the road with a table to check in people. You can't drive through the host area any longer. It was disappointing to not be able to purchase ice as well. One of the hosts, Lynn, was excellent, very nice woman. We were in loop E and we noticed that as people left, there were no camp hosts that came to the sites to clean them up for the next camper. We love the area and will be back but not the biggest fans of the new management company.

Even though the lake is low, fishing was great. Campground was quiet, even through the memorial day holiday. Camp hosts were vigilant throughout my stay Kept things clean, quiet and enjoyable for everyone.

Our group of 6 families has been camping for years together. We have stayed everywhere from Mt Lemmon, to Payson, to Happy Jack, and more. This was our first time at Kaibab Lake and we were so disappointed. What was advertised clearly as a group site was absolutely not a group site. It was 6-7 individual sites near each other. There was minimal signage explaining this and the photos were misleading for KG2 site as they showed KG1 which did have all of the group amenities. KG2 does NOT have a ramada, group dining tables, or a fire pit any larger than a normal individual site. We literally had to call some of the families running behind to bring up tables and a canopy so that we had a place to set our stuff and some shade. All 6 families (30 people) crowded into ONE individual campground spot so that we could cook and be together (the whole reason we camp together) and not be spread out in completely separate spaces. When I asked that park ranger (a job I have deep respect for) why there were so few amenities and why it was even advertised as a group site, she said not very kindly, "that's why it's listed for $100 less per night than the other site." I don't recall how much the other site was listed for but this site was comparable to all of the other group sites that we have stayed at over the years price wise, sites that had amazing amenities. We ultimately made the best of it and we had a good time. I would heavily suggest that 1) recreation.gov confirm their listing on this campsite to ensure it is very clearly marked what it offers and 2) if you do book this "site" make sure to bring up a bunch of folding tables and canopies for your group. For individual camping the sites were amazing; bathrooms were extremely clean, the rangers attentive, the lake was walking distance away, and the quaint town of Williams was a short drive with lots of things to do (Bearizona, Alpine Slides, Deer Farm, Shopping etc.)

Great camp hosts! Immaculately clean bathrooms. Nice path to walk along the lake. Visited the Northern Arizona Museum in Flagstaff for the day, just a short drive away.

Space 20 Loop B. Very well spaced, mix of shade and sunshine. Hosts were top notch and cordial. Grounds very well kept but this poor lake was down and brown. Easy 45 minute walk around it for a morning jaunt.

One of the most beautiful campsites i ever stayed at! I cant describe the beauty of this campground, its so quiet and peaceful. The sunsets over the lake are amazing and the wildlife you see during day and night is so vast and versatile. Just watch out for mice that might look for shelter in your tent or car The toilets are super clean and well managed.

Extremely clean campground. Cordial and helpful hosts. Reasonable price for firewood. Convenient to Williams. Quiet, relaxing environment. Lake is a little murky, but still enjoyed the fishing.

Have always enjoyed camping experiences here for the past 7 years. Great management and hosts until last year. I went back this year to give it another try and was very happy this year with Management at campsite and hosts.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
