Great campground. Clean, well-kept. Washrooms at reasonable distance from campsites and clean!

Great place to overnight camp. The park manager at the park entrance was a joy to work with.

I love COE & Acorn valley! It is always clean & we feel safe there. Being on a budget we enjoy the price. We like Acorn because we like its smaller size, convenient location and quiet! We primarily walk, hike, and sit out side chilling, reading and playing games.

Site 16 stated tent and RV camping. It was not appropriate for a tent as the entire site was gravel. There was no privacy either.

Very nice location to hibernate in the Motorhome. Got all setup and found very poor internet service. Wanted to hold up and binge watch some tv programs, but kept losing connection. Neighbors were quiet and did not disturb us at all. Gate keepers were hidden well and only came by to let us know that the water would be off for most of one day, so we couldnt use the bath house that one day. Id probably go to a different site if we ever were in the area again.

Great park very well maintained the sites were big and long spaced very well between sites. My site was very level easy to get it setup not all sites are level as we walked the park. The showers were nice no water on the sites but easy to fill with fresh water the dump station was very nice and clean.

Acorn Valley CG - an unexpected, pleasurable experience. We enjoyed a clean and spacious grassy campsite. The walk-in site was just a few yards from the parking. The bathrooms were clean with hooks on the wall. We will stop in again on our next cross country drive.

I found the Campground clean and level where I set my tent up. I wish it had been more quiet as there were cars coming and going late into the evening. I certainly understand without having a gate that closes at a certain time, people will come and go throughout the night.

Very peaceful and beautiful family camping sites.

Trees need to be trimmed, my antenna was badly bent and my rubber roof has to be replaced.

Small campground but quiet. Very nice that it's alcohol free. Site #8 was a little small for our 26 ft. camper but lots of mature trees around. Our great nieces loved the playground. First time camping here and looking forward to camping there again. Very nice little get-away!

The camp is good. Unfortunately recreation gov is a joke. Sticking to camps that dont need them and the fees they never give the parks

This campground is lovely and well cared for. We stayed in site 6 which is pretty sunny for tent camping, it got very hot. But it was the perfect distance from the bathrooms and playground. The restrooms were nearly perfect. We explored other sites and the mosquitoes were bad at night but so many sites are shady and well maintained.

Upon arrival electricity was not working and lasted into the next day. Would have loved someone to call and inform, that way we could have brought a generator for the time being.

very nice park. small but nice. thunderstorm took out all electricty one night. so they moved us to Bob shetler park until electricity was repaired. We opted to stay there as our site #7 at Acorn was all but impossible to get backed ibto because the road was too narrow, and the pad was too steep. at least the Rangers took care of us by finding us another campground,

We were just passing through on this trip and did not unhook. That said, the site was level which allowed us to set up for the evening and prep to leave with ease.

This was our favorite spot for the whole vacation. Spot number 5, it was very private. It was very shady, and it was just a wonderful little campground. The next time we come to iowa to visit family?We're planning on using this campground and that spot in particular,.

Nice camping area. Bath house was good. One large shower stall with two shower heads. There is no alcohol allowed here which is unfortunate. Playground is well kept. Hosts were friendly!!

Large spacious sites. Good location, close to interstate. Clean restrooms. Great stop for me when traveling.

As a primary tent camper, it was so nice to have so many choices for sites. It was great to have short walk-in sites, you could use your car/truck storage and still be in the woods.
@MelisaKD696838 · Camped on Jul 7, 2025 at Campsite #38
Shower house near camp site was great to have available. It was quiet and other campers were respectful and and polite. It was a good time with hosts or ground keepers that were kind and even offered free firewood when they had it. No complaints simply. Thankful for the area campground and their efforts to keep it nice and a good stay.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
