We were just passing through on this trip and did not unhook. That said, the site was level which allowed us to set up for the evening and prep to leave with ease.

This was our favorite spot for the whole vacation. Spot number 5, it was very private. It was very shady, and it was just a wonderful little campground. The next time we come to iowa to visit family? We're planning on using this campground and that spot in particular,.

Nice camping area. Bath house was good. One large shower stall with two shower heads. There is no alcohol allowed here which is unfortunate. Playground is well kept. Hosts were friendly!!

Large spacious sites. Good location, close to interstate. Clean restrooms. Great stop for me when traveling.

As a primary tent camper, it was so nice to have so many choices for sites. It was great to have short walk-in sites, you could use your car/truck storage and still be in the woods.

Shower house near camp site was great to have available. It was quiet and other campers were respectful and and polite. It was a good time with hosts or ground keepers that were kind and even offered free firewood when they had it. No complaints simply. Thankful for the area campground and their efforts to keep it nice and a good stay.

Small but quaint little camp ground that you would not even know is tucked away in its location. Great walking areas and great parking area to bike.

Acorn is the best COE campground we have stayed at. It was green, mowed and well maintained. The showers, however old, were clean.. The one drawback was that it was not on the water so you had to drive a ways to get to water and hiking. It was close to town for shopping needs

Nice shady site. Level. Not very wide. Liked the sound of the water flowing over the dam. Be aware you are near train tracks. Lots of people coming in and out of campground during day. Bugs come out at dusk! For the price to no have dump station, flush toilets or showers is pricey.

This place is cool quiet and calm but the walk in tents sites have a lots of Ticks. We got a lots of tick bites and it still itches after a week.

No sites have water, just a heads up. I should have paid attention to this and filled up my camper.

This campground is a little hidden gem. We stayed in one of power/rv spots. Our spot was private and well maintaied. It was spacious enough to fit our small camper, truck and a pop up canopy. Plus another suv when we had visitors. Most of the spots there were similar. Spacious and private. There are also a ton of great non-electric tent sites as well. These sites would be great for groups as they are large and set back. Most non electric spots seem to be clustered together with two or three near each other. They are somewhat hike in style as they are a bit off the road. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There are also two nice playground areas. We live locally and will definitely make this a regular spot. If you are an out of towner there isnt a lot to see and do at the campground itself. No hiking trails or points of interest. If youre here for the lake I would look at one of the larger Saylorville campgrounds. This campground would be perfect for a local family with younger kids looking for an easy camping weekend.

We enjoy coming to this campground! No complaint about the services on site and cleanliness. I recommend a campsite that is tucked away for additional peace and privacy. The only trouble we ran into was that we experienced a lot of unleashed dogs the last time we visited, despite the rule that they must be leashed.

It's usually very quiet and we like that. No boat noises or loud parties

Our stay at Acorn Valley was excellent. We stayed at campsite 26, near to the shower house in the handicap spot. This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Acorn Valley. It is a beautiful campground and very near to the places one might need during and extended camping trip. We stayed at this site for 8 days, and every day was perfect. I highly recommend this campground to anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors in a comfortable setting.

A very nice, quiet, wooded campground. Attentive staff. The water in the womens shower wasnt hot and they put in a work order and it got fixed fairly quickly. Would stay here again if in the area.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
