This is my second time staying at Rock Creek Lake in the past month! First off want to say that the camp hosts here are EVERYTHING! Luis and Jean are amazing at what they do. A few weeks ago we stayed at the Group Site and it was like a mini paradise! Our only complaint was that the bathroom situation was awful. They say they are going to fix the public restrooms but they havent and theres no potable water there either. If the campground could fix this then it would be beyond perfect. Jean and Luis did an excellent job of letting us know where the porta pottys were and making sure we had a jug to fill up. We came back a few weeks later because we couldnt stop dreaming of Rock Creek! Unfortunately there was a random storm that left our site flooded the first night and we had to sleep in the car. The rest of the trip we did have rain off and on but nothing compared to the first night. Rock creek lake is absolutely lovely. The grounds are well kept, the lake has several access points perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The camp hosts thoroughly clean each site upon checking in. Their warm friendly smile and personality makes you want to come back again and again. Rock creek leaves you feeling like family!

Wonderful place to camp. Secluded, off the beaten path. We will definitely come back again.

Campsites were beautiful the host was attentive and helpful.

Great campground. Campsite 26 is located most remotely from parking, had to use wheelbarrows to get gear to campsite. Once camp was set up the site was great, except for yellow jackets, that was annoying. Flush toilets were a plus. Overall love the campsite and the campground location. Hiked to Little Lakes and Hilton. Great hikes

This is a great area - beautiful lake, close to many great hiking trails. Lake shore itself is primarily occupied by people fishing, some who get perturbed if your kid or dog makes any noise. (These are the same people who catch and release the same fish over and over....)One wonderful change: The camp hosts are amazing! Very friendly, keep the facilities clean, are responsive to guest concerns, and even use their own funds to purchase liquid hand soap for the bathrooms. This is their second year in the campground and they are a welcome change from the last host who'd disappear for a week at a time.

Canp hosts Louis and Jean (sp?) went above and beyond. Their attention to detail in the maintenance of the facilities, the upkeep of the bathrooms and the managing of the variety of things that came up with the guests was simply amazing. All of it. They deserve huge props.

What an awesome campground. Love the layout and the built in tent spots!

We LOVE Rock Creek. Part of me doesnt want to write a review so that fewer people go, but I also want others to enjoy this hidden gem. The hosts, Jean and Luis, are so sweet! They let us charge our battery pack, answered all our questions and keep the bathroom stocked and immaculate. We stayed in the tent site 25 which does require a minutes wheel barrow trip to haul your items from the parking lot. I did not mind at all as it was well worth staying away from the more busy day use area. There were lots of mosquitoes but nothing long sleeves and bug spray couldnt protect you from. Also, nights get chilly so bring warm coats. We took our 5 and 8 year olds on their first backpacking trip out to Little lakes valley for one night and had lots of fun. We also brought a small inflatable raft to go our paddling around on Rock Lake. This is a great place for families, fishing and exploring nature. 5/5!

I LOVE this place! BUT this campground needs to publish a Site Map on the reservation website!!! Not just photos of the campsites. The campsite I had reserved , unbeknownst to me, was a "walk-in" site. There is NO mention of this important detail on the reservation website. I never would have reserved site #21 if I had that info ahead of time. It was a three minute walk on dirt trail, slightly uphill just to get there. They provide wheelbarrows, but it would have easily taken me 8 trips to get all my gear up there (I was a solo camper with lots of stuff) . So I didn't camp there. Gave up my spot and went down to East Fork campground instead, where there are several FCFS sites, and all of them have adjacent parking for your vehicle.

This campground is beautiful and well maintained. The bathrooms were typically clean, and the individual sites were very nice. The only downside: it's overrun with those awful invasive Asian Tiger mosquitoes. They are extremely aggressive and are out biting almost all day long. Come prepared!

Camp hosts Jean and Luis kept that place super clean and made sure all guests feel welcome. The location is perfect for summer camping. Can't wait to come back.

Rock Creek Lake Campground has it all. Camping, hiking, fishing . For the past 6 years it has been our favorite place where we can enjoy a peaceful getaway in nature.

Very nice campground. With lake view, safe location, clean bathrooms. Lots of mosquitos so make sure to bring spray. The only thing disappoint us was the original booking we had and paid for was given to other walk-in campers. They had to move us to another place which is way better than we booked. Thank you for the manager who manage to find a quick solution. Would definitiely come back.

We stayed at campsite 24. Beware - parking/bathrooms/running water is not anywhere near the actual campsite! I don't know the actual distance, but it will feel like a mile when lugging gear to and from, going to the bathroom, being on dishwashing duty, etc.
@elizabeth19786 · Camped on Jun 27, 2025 at Campsite #4
Beautiful place. Our campsite had a view of the lake and sunrise. Temps were cool (upper 40's) overnight in late June. Be sure to bring layers to stay warm.
@DanielV1589109 · Camped on Jun 22, 2025 at Campsite #4
Peaceful and quiet. Hauling gear from the car to site #4 takes a bit of effort but it's worth it. Feels private with lake views.
@RobertM1452522 · Camped on Jun 16, 2025 at Campsite #7
We booked RV site #7. Not much privacy between the family camped right next to us and the day use parking lot that shared our overnight space. Bathrooms were well kept, and heated. Easy walk to the lake. The walk-in tent sites were the ticket. We will probably not be camping at Rock Creek Lake again.

Jean and Luis are the most gracious hosts and keep the camps and bathrooms in excellent condition.

The restrooms were well kept and clean. The camp sites were nice and close to the lake

We stayed in a walk in site and it was incredible. We had a gorgeous view of the lake from the campsite. The tent foundations made setting up camp a breeze. Its a well maintained and very clean campground. Great opportunities for fishing, hiking, SUP, kyaking, or just chilling in a hammock by the lake with a good book

I actually wound up moving from Rock Creek Lake to East Fork campground slightly down the road. The Rock Creek sites are not next to your parking spot and because I was solo I was sleeping in my vehicle. Just a heads up that if you dont want to carry cooler a distance or if you sleep in your vehicle, this is not the spot for you. On the flip side- the hosts were super helpful with the change and I DID go to Rock creek to walk and watch the sunset- it was BEAUTIFUL!

A quiet and beautiful campground! Our site had a good view of the lake, and there was a good distance between campsites as well. Bathrooms were well maintained and clean. Will definitely come back for another visit!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
