Nice campground with a beautiful lake. Friendly campground host is a plus. Theres a beach and plenty of opportunities to fish. Just be aware that the water spigot is shared between campsites; bring a Y connector so you and your neighbor both have water.

It is always a nice week when we camp at Dam East McNair campground. Clean and nice and quiet. Great area to ride our bikes around the lake area.

We had site17, South Loop, arriving April 8 for 2 nights. Had electric and water. Site overlooked beach as well as the lake.Bathroom was good, showers wouldn't use. JT the host came by to make sure we were in and answer any questions we had. Very quiet even though sites were mostly filled. Would recommend! Stayed in a Casita Liberty Deluxe.

We've always had a good experience when camping at McNair. The bath/shower house is always in good shape. The camp host, JT, and his sidekick, Max, do a great job and are much appreciated.

There was a lot of trash at the campsite. I know it's from previous occupants and it's hard for staff to clean up each site, but my dog kept picking it up.

Everything was wonderful till our last night spot 35 across from us started with extremely loud music and talking at 2:30 am till 4 am when finally someone showed ip and shut them down. We woke up to find their trash blowing everywhere. Finally the ranger showed up and had them clean everything up.

Dam East Campground is in farmland. Farms and ranches surround this place and it's beautiful. We first went to the visitor center for directions and it was closed. A car pulled up in front of us, blocking us and a man got out and approached us. He introduced himself as the Host and proceeded to lead us directly to our site. He's an angel. Our site was great! Clean, level, electric, water. We would definitely stay here again!

We had no problems checking in and the site was clean and ready. The only issue was that previous campers left trash in the fire ring that we had to clean out.

When we set up our fifth wheel we noticed the person on the site before us had dumped their black tank. Right there ON the site. Undigested toilet paper with said excrement was all over. Totally inappropriate and beyond comprehension. Did tell the host when we paid for another day- in hopes that they would flag the person from visiting the campground in the future. We camp a lot at this campground and have never experienced anything like this before.

Only stayed one night in January while going south but, once we got there, wish we would have stayed longer. Beautiful park, big sites, lots of bike trails, closer to town. We hope to be able to visit on the way north and stay longer. Host was very nice.

This is a beautiful spot to camp. It was quiet and full of wildlife. I highly recommend this campsite.

On this site it is very very obvious that trees need to be cut down I filed one complaint on tree limb cutting into my roof and no one ever did anything about it Look around the campsite You can see the damage that has been done from the tree diseases It is sadHowever they must come down No one wants to see that However that is cheaper to someone losing their life from a falling tree limbAll one has to do is take a look around each campsite and see the trees that are a hazard

I stayed at the dam east campground below the Carlyle lake spillway on the Kaskaskia River. The bathrooms were very clean and to my surprise, heated. Would gladly stay there again.

We spent one night in the campground, and it was GORGEOUS. I would have given five stars, but the naming convention and lack of detail maps made the campground difficult to locate using campground names. Once we switched to GPS coordinates (provided by USACOE) it took us right to it. We were unable to locate the check-in gate house, however, and only found the dump station after asking another camper where it was. The campsite itself was level and hard-surfaced. This is a GREAT campground! It was the only COE campground left in the system that hadn't already closed for the winter.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
