Coles Creek Rec Area in Clinton County is located 1 hr 6 min east of Belleville, IL with an elevation of 464 feet. There are a total of 146 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 39 and 115 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 25 sites have electric and water hookups. 121 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $250.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

The on site showers are very dangerous! The shower floors are smooth epoxy coated (with no abrasives) making them very slippery which allows one to easily slip and fall. If you don't fall and die in the shower, it's a pretty nice campground.

The host was very welcoming, grounds were well maintained & the shower house was immaculate. The boat ramp & beach was easily accessible. We enjoyed bike riding through the loops & country roads as well as kayaking in the no wake coves

Site #32 was level, partial view of lake. Overall it was a great site. The site was quite buggy due to proximity of the woods. Ticks were terrible, but I heard they were all over the campground and beach area.

Coles Creek is one of my favorite campgrounds. Well maintained, cleaned bathrooms and shower houses.

Very nice volunteers, we had traveled almost 350 miles to overnight here. Arrived early afternoon. Check-out is 4 pm, check-in is 5 pm, so we were directed to the very large, boat parking area to rest to wait for our site to be available. This was also a great area to unhook the tow! It was a holiday weekend, so the campground was quite full, but sites still had plenty of space. Great water view from our site # 23!

This campground was great. The sites are nice and big. Very quiet area. The staff at check-in was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this campground.

We love Coles Creek Campground! We have stayed at this campground a couple times a year for the past 20+ years. The campground is very clean, and well maintained. The campground hosts are great.

Love the asphalted sites. Sites on the outer edges seemed to be drier. Take note of the water locations and pick a spot near one and bring enough hose to reach it to fill your tank, especially when staying for more than a weekend.

We love the paved sites that are level. Always a good time at this campground. I wish there was more than one dumpsite when leaving as lines can get long at times

Nice campground, has many sites with shade, some directly on the water. There are 2 bathrooms, one is really old & grungy, the other is newer and in good shape, clean. The entrance is a tight turn for bigger rigs and the loops aren't that spacious. There is a tag axle motorhome in here now and he stuffed the rig & tow trailer (pickup inside) into a site but the tow trailer is back way onto the grass. The access road to the campground is very narrow, as are many of the surrounding roads. There is access to grocery and other shopping 7 to 8 miles away. T Mobile works good

The site was exactly what we expected. We had no plans to do anything away from the campgrounds. We walked, biked, played games onsite, enjoyed campfire and campfire cooking.

Stayed at Loop 5 113 in late september. Sites were well maintained, bathrooms were clean, showers were excellent. Nice job to all involved in maintaining these facilities.
