Coles Creek Rec Area in Clinton County is located 1 hr 6 min east of Belleville, IL with an elevation of 464 feet. There are a total of 146 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 39 and 115 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 25 sites have electric and water hookups. 121 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $250.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Beautiful lake front spot with amazing sunset views! Lake access to fish right down the hill from your own site! The bathrooms were super clean and nice! Private bathrooms to shower! Great campsite! We will be back!

First had 147 loop 5, but there was no shade. Changed to 137 loop 5. Much nicer. Large spot , and shady. Disappointed the beach was not open but took in some sun. Beach had a very bad smell..But over all will be back.

We love to camp at Coles Creek. We were parked in a site next to a camper whose two dogs were left alone inside their camper for 4 to 6 hours a day. They could see us out the window and barked nonstop the when we were outside playing yard games, etc with our friends. We also could hear their barking inside our camper. It definitely was a nuisance for us to hear barking from early morning to late evening.

The camping experience at Coles Creek was very good however they could install hand dryers in the shower house and the camp host should pick up their phone when you try to call there other than that it was a great place to camp

This is my favorite camping spot. Camping spots are great with trees, birds, view off the lake. It also gives you enough area to play games etc. Restrooms are clean as are the very roomy shower rooms. The area is very clean and well kept. I always enjoy my camping days here.

Everything was clean. Bathrooms and shower house. We had good shade it we quiet. We went for walks would have been nicer if amphitheater would have movies each weekend when nothing else was going on.

It was absolutely beautiful! The only thing that I could add is, it would be wonderful if we had water. Beautiful though wide spaces youre not cramped together absolutely wonderful. I dont think theres a bad spot in the park.

Second year we have traveled from Ohio and stayed at Coles Creek Campground. Once again were greeted at the guard shack on the way in like we were family. Despite our first night being a busy weekend, campground was pleasantly quiet. Restrooms and shower house facilities have always been impressively clean and stocked. Cell service was strong through AT&T. Not only VERY well built fire pits, were pleasantly surprised to wake up to ours cleaned out by staff half way through our stay. Can't wait for next year's stay!

Camp is great. Been going to Carlyle Corp for many years.Camp host are very friendly and efficient.Grass mowing at CC on Thursdays could be better. They blew the grass on camp pads and into restroom area. Pads could not be helped but the restroom sidewalks and entry area should have been blown off.I blew off restroom myself.The restroom cleaning people did and outstanding job the week+ we were at CC.They had just cleaned the restrooms and blown off the sidewalks then came the mowing service.
