Beautiful but rain all three days.

Amazing place. It is not as well maintained this year as years past.

Excellent accommodation and a well maintained campground. Individuals using the walk-in sites had unfortunately left trash around their camp site. Not all campers can be expected to be considerate and consciences of a beautiful environment.

If you go camping late summer without a camp host theres no quiet time enforcement. Its the one percent that makes it worst for the rest of us.

WAY too many loud, stand-alone generators at any time they pleased. This is a primitive campground. If they need all that, there are campgrounds right down the road with electrical hook-ups. It sounded as if I was camping in a factory yard, with an abundance of exhaust fumes to choke on.

Gorgeous view and super peaceful. 30 feet away from the beautiful beach!!

Beautiful, secluded sites! Efficient reservations. While the amenities are bare bones - the views on the lake are worth it!

Steps to the beach and it feels like youre in a whole new world along Lake Superior. Very large campsites in full shade. Clean vault toilets that are well maintained. This was a gem of a campground.

This is a great spot. The facilities are clean and the shore is a real winner.

Our campsite was on the side near the road which was busy, loud, and consistently annoying. No campground host is a concern for me as well.

Remote, lovely stretch of Lake Superior beach still close to Sault Ste Marie. Rustic, small sites are perfect for small camper or tent camping. Decent vault toilets. Still weather brings intense mosquitoes and flies - bring repellent. Lake is amazing.

Very nice campground and beach. Outhouses were clean and didn't even smell! The only negative was being swarmed by mosquitoes most every day-but it rained enough to get things wet most every day. I'm sure that kept the hatching intense. The fire rings are too tall preventing heat to radiate out if your sitting in a chair. Also you can't see the flames very well if you're sitting and the height makes it difficult to cook over a campfire.

4th time we have camped here. I'm pretty disappointed with NO, the camp host at this site. I'm not sure what has happened. I was told it's under a new grounds manager. Not very good!
@Christoph65538 · Camped on Jun 6, 2025 at Campsite #6
Location is terrific! $24 per night though is way too much to charge for campground with no modern options. All you get is spot to camp and vault toilets.

The camp hosts are exceptional! Kind, considerate and keep the sites, outhouses and grounds in tip top shape.My concern is with the incredibly early closing of the park! Why was the park closed for the season just at the beginning of the autumn color season? So many in Michigan enjoy camping during the color season. It never closed so early in the past. Why???My 2023 reservation was cancelled without my choice and without much notice. I believe those of us that had reservations should have at least been given a chance to reserve before it was open to the public at large. Very poor planning and no follow through by the Park. Inconsiderate, disruptive and rude.

Quiet remote campground. Big clean sites. Monocle Lake loop hike to cliff overlook was amazing. Not an easy hike due to elevation and switch backs but the view of monocle lake, Lake Superior and the freighters on a cloudless day was incredible.

Nicely maintained. Exceptionally clean. Super nice hosts.

Did the scenic loop up to Whitefish bay and Down through The Falls, MI DOGS, and Oswalds Bear Range. Nice park. Close to the Soo Locks too

A very popular place, designed for small campers and small rv's and tent campers. Hard to get a site here but very well run by the campground host.

We love coming here every summer. Right on the water which is perfect for a good beach day. Roughly 25-35 minutes from a large city area but also not far from places like the falls. Bathrooms are always spotless, and the campground hosts are extremely welcoming.

Bay View was peaceful as always. Camp hosts did a great job keeping the toilets clean and the site was cleaned well upon arrival.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
