Campsite and restroom were clean and in good condition. Enjoyed watching deer, bird, squirrels and wildflowers in camp. Shade from the surrounding trees added to comfort and ambiance. Great views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains. Paved roads and graveled parking area at sites help RV's and tents clean after brief rainstorms. Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great access to various fishing opportunities - lake, gold medal river, creeks. Super location for boating, kayaking, hiking, sightseeing and riding side-by-sides. My fourth annual visit and I'm looking forward to more.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeview Campground. So nice to enjoy cooler temperatures than we would have had on the front range that week. The host, Lou Ann, is the best...!

I have gone here every year for 6 or 7 years. The views are wonderful. The fishing is good even from the shore. I do have one MAJOR complaint and 2 minors. The minors are that out of the 2 spigots to fill with water in the first campground, one has an end that a lot of people can't use unless they have another attachment to add. Therefore the one you can use can get frustrating for people. Last Summer it had such low pressure that it was taking everyone at least 30 minutes to fill. That was for medium sized trailers. The second is that for some reason in the last few years, the tent pads and table pads are full of weeds that no one is taking care of. I couldn't sit at the table with shorts on. The MAJOR complaint is the roads in ALL of the campgrounds. They are a mess. There are holes you could lose a child in. It is very hard to bicycle, vehicles that are higher trucks are scraping, and trailers are very close to bottoming out. I have sent in a lot of photos of these VERY DANGEROUS holes to the proper people and I just get emails back saying they will get to when they get to it. This has been years! I cannot emphasize enough how bad these are. They are not small, they are sometimes on both sides of one ways so you can't avoid them. Someone is going to get hurt or vehicles will get and have been damaged. I'm sorry, but it is ridiculous enough at this point to stay somewhere else.

Lakeview campground has been my favorite campground for several years now. The view of Taylor Resovoir and the collegiate peaks is spectular. Fishing at mirror lake near tincup was fantastic and the trip to the reopened Alpine Tunnel was memorable. Our campground host Luanne was friendly and professional in her duties. Only complaint is that the trees have grown over the years that they now block the view from the campsites it would be nice to thin the trees so that LakeView Campground retains the View of the Lake.

I liked my site because it was backed up against the woods. However, it was difficult to find because none of the loops are marked. The roads are bad--lots of deep potholes that would be easy to patch. There's no indication that the very narrow roads are two-way at that there is a turn-around loop at the end. I couldn't level my RV at my site, so I slept slanted.Worst of all, the only neighbor anywhere around me, across the street, had a full-volume, full-size generator running right in my face all evening, then first thing in the morning. I left immediately in the morning.

The Lakeview Campground is wonderful, and the hosts are all terrific. We love the views.What we don't like is the proliferation of dispersed camping and the hundreds of large RVs all throughout the valley. Hundreds of ATVs and Motorcycles clog the trails, with speeds, noise and dustDispersed camping areas should be a lot more limitied. 'As a result, even though I have been camping here for over 30 years, I can't abide the crowding and noise, so we won't visit unless during shoulder season.

We really enjoyed this campsite despite the short trip! Plenty of tree coverage and a flat place for the tent. Close to toilet but still private.

The site was fantastic. Lupines in bloom. Quiet. Bathrooms very clean. The host was very attentive and alerted us to site availability before and after our stay. Taylor Lake is across a busier road, but still quite a sight. You can rent boats at Taylor Lake. Would absolutely go back.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
