Wonder camp site and the host is awesome. We always enjoy our time at Lakeview. The fishing was good too. The entrance to the lower electric loop needs to be addressed. Asphalt's has been removed and it hasnt been replaced. The drop in the roadway can or will damage your rv entering or exiting the campground. This has been like this for several years. I dont understand why the road cant be patch.

We go every year. I love it here. I marked a 3/5 because NO IS FIXING THE ROADS throughout the entire campground. They are VERY BAD AND VERY DEEP. It is treacherous to vehicles AND campers AND bicycles. Almost killed myself last year. PLEASE FIX THE ROADS!!

Lakeview CG is a nice campground with a mix of sites that are shaded and sites more open with great views of the mountains and Taylor Reservoir. The roads within the campground are paved and the sites are spacious. The camp host - Lou Ann - was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And she kept the campground clean.

Second time staying here. Stayed in truck camper at site 48. Good site. Little uneven but was able to get level with minimal rise. Campground host is great. Very friendly, very visible. Vault toilets are some of the cleanest I've used. Scenery is awesome. Great place to stay.

This is a great campground that we return to. This year however, the host was excellent, bathrooms spotless, and host present in the campground. Can't rate the host high enough.

Everything was great.The camp hosts were helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Beware of the potholes on the roads!

Most sites were shaded by trees and spacious. Each site was staggered so you weren't right next to your neighbor. The drop toilets were clean and did not smell bad. The roads were fine, except one big pothole at the entrance to the campground.

I really wish the RV's in neighboring sites DIDNT run their generators for hours on end into the late night in Tent Only sites but alas - it was a delightful stay and the campground host was very friendly

The loop for sites 11-29 has a horrible road. It's very difficult to get through with a trailer. Site 28 is listed as a 30-foot RV site, but I couldn't even get my 26-foot trailer on it. It should be listed as a tent site. The host, Lee Ann, was amazing and made up for it.

Loved the camp host! She was amazing - all by herself with 65 spots. Glad she had help coming. Roads are TERRIBLE! No maintenance for last 10 years - fire hazards everywhere. Id like to write a letter to someone in authority.

We come back every year for the campsite, but this next time around we will be coming back for the camp host. I can't say enough about how great (Leann? I'm sorry if I have it wrong) is. Her husband works down at the marina and they are the best team. I came up for a mom's and kids weekend, booked multiple sites I could get at the time, and she helps me rearrange with available sites, so the kids (teens) and us moms were together. It was fantastic. She was a joy to talk to, next time we're inviting her for breakfast! This is our favorite campsite spot and will be coming back this year

Nice campsites. The camp host Louann was absolutely top notch! Well maintained facilities, etc. Wish they all were as professional! Only issue is the weird 1st come sites that cannot be even found on website.

The camper/vehicle rules make no sense and should be eliminated for non-electric sites. if eight people can occupy a site, then it does not matter what kind of campers or vehicles they arrive in. If the rule is 8 people maximum per site, then the number of vehicles does not matter as long as they fit in the designated parking area. 3 vehicles for 8 people camping together is not unusual. If they are within the site's designated parking area, which can be marked easily, then stop micromanaging the types of vehicles!

The camping experience at Lakeview was wonderful! The 2 camp hosts were awesome! Thank you for a wonderful, clean campground! We always enjoy our time and the view is the very best! Thank you again for a great stay!

We spent two days at Lakeview Gunnison in early September. Many of the campsites have wonderful views of Taylor Reservoir. There is access to OHV trails, fishing and hiking in the area. Our electricity was clean and reliable. Note: The campsites that have electricity have 50/30/15 amp outlets. The descriptions in Recreation.gov say they are 15 amp but should be changed to show all three outlets are available. There is no dump station but there is a pay dump station on the road to Tincup (about 20 minutes/9 miles away). The hosts are friendly and keep the facilities clean.

Fantastic campground. Restrooms were lighted at night and very clean. Water was available and power was perfect. The campground hosts were extremely helpful! Vistas hurt the eyes and stirred the soul. We had a wonderful time.

Campground is beautiful. Great views. Camp here every year. The problem I have is the road in the campground have very large potholes. Some of the roads it is very hard to drive around. A couple of the roads the trees are hanging out - so our camper got scratched. Be aware. The one thing that was a pain is you had to keep opening and closing the gate because they had cattle in the area. Kind of annoying.

Gunnison Lakeview Campground has a great view of Taylor Park Reservoir. The location near the marina and has other nearby access points to the lake and river for fishing. Its clean and well-managed thanks to the camp host, Lou Ann.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
