Three of us got stung by wasps in our campsite. We had to buy traps just to be able to leave our tent without getting stung.

Had a great time. Weather was a little windy but the lake was beautiful. Every Thursday night in the summer, there is a free concert on the grass at Suttle Lake Lodge. It's awesome! The walk around the lake is 3.5 miles and is a great way to start the day.

We love our annual stay at Suttle Lake in the South Shore Campground.

It was beautiful and the camp site was clean and close to the bathroom. The major downside is there was a huge yellow jacket problem. We were constantly having to shoo them away and be aware of the food placement. If we would have known we would have brought things to keep them at bay. We brought our kayaks and it was nice to bring them down to shore by the camp ground.

Horrible site, do not book this. It is deceiving, no trees or shade, weirdly shaped small site that looks like a barren after thought shoved next to the road and other sites, completely out in the open with zero privacy. Seems like the was created to make an extra buck ..... we drove up took one look and left to another campground at Camp Sherman which was lovely and shaded. I am a rustic camper do not require much, am typically not that picky and have stayed in campgrounds all over Oregon my entire life and have never seen a campsite as bad as this. They should do everyone a favour and take the number off and remove the picnic table and you would never even know it was a "campsite"it would look like part of the side of the road. Now Ive told you what I really think. I never write reviews but this really bothered me. When we could not find it because it is an after thought and numbered strangely the dude cleaning the bathroom made a strange face when we told him the number and could not find it... I got worried right then and there because he looked like he was apologising in advance and sure enough it was as bad as his face made it out to be. I just can't say enough bad things about it. The picture is incredibly deceiving. So yeah, don't do it unless you like paying the same rate for a campsite that is actually nice and acceptable and being stuck literally on the side of the road out in the open baking in the sun like a lizard. It was so disturbing I could not even do what it took to get my money back, I just ate it because I did not want to think about it or deal with it because it would have ruined my vacation.

This campground is our family's favorite. We have been coming here for almost 35 years, every July. The past 2 years, the outhouses were full when we got there. The waste was up to the bottom of the base of the toilet!We mentioned it to our camp host and then to his supervisor who both told us it was too expensive to have them pumped out!Isn't that what our camp fees go towards????July is just beginning the camping season for this campground, I hate to think about what the outhouses look like now! :(

We had a great visit to South Shore campground. Walking around the lake was beautiful. If the conditions are right, paddleboarding is enjoyable and bicycling the forest roads was fun! Upgrading the bathrooms would be great but I know there are money considerations.

Site # 9 should be designated as walk in only, its on the side of a steep hill, there are trees on either side, and its curved, like a smile on a hillside. Its listed as a pull through site for RVs up to 35 not to mention its a lakeside site so its going to be popular. With no photo of the site its going to be a constant problem where people like myself book and arrive to find out you couldnt fit a sprinter there or even level a car to sleep in, it would be impossible. Total fiasco and waste of time. If you make everyone use this site and pay extra money its your job to photograph every site and provide accurate information. Otherwise lets go back to the old ways, its camping, not a hotel.

This is an awesome campsite, lake side view but up away from the walking path so a bit more private. Water is right across the street as well as bathroom. Facilities were clean. Only negative Ill include is you can definitely hear the noise of the vehicles from the hwy across the lake-dont really notice it until bedtime though. We will definitely be back!

This was our first camping experience with our kids & it was a perfect place to start! Loved how spacious all the camp sites were & how there was a good amount of bathroom scattered throughout.

Really loved this camp ground. Spacious sites and spread out camping. The roads could use to be paved to not great for bikers who are learning. Day use area was nice in the lake. Can get windy so get out early in the water. Bathrooms were kept clean but toilet paper was needed to be supplied so plan accordingly.

I'd like to say thank you to the amazing camp hosts that tried to fix our issue with a very upset man in the camp next to us.He couldn't get his trailer in the spot and started cussing at everyone, including the 4 cars he was blocking from getting into the campground bc he was in camp spot #1. Unfortunately after finally screaming at his wife and himself he pulled his truck forward blocking our camp #2.The rest of the people drove around him, but we had to ask this irrational individual to now plz move so we could set up our camp.He started throwing F bombs at us making the thought of camping next to him unimaginable. The hosts had heard the man cussing so they were very sympathetic and tried to find us another site away from that individual. No fault of theirs, but we were tired from desert trip to Polka-dot mine and took it as a sign to drive the 2 hours home instead of staying in the camp they found for us that they were going to discount.Bless both your kind hearts for doing your best to help us. We very much appreciated your understanding and everything you did to try and fix the situation. I wish the best to you both and thank you again!!

The camp hosts this year are not very friendly or welcoming. Seems to be on more of a power trip.

We stayed in Site 16. Sweet 16! It's such a perfect spot. The weather cooperated mostly and the campground was very peaceful. Mid June. Mid-week. The Lodge has free concerts on Wednesday and Thursday and that was great too.

This is a lovely campground with many sites with views of Suttle Lake. One of the challenges for our camper van is that many of the sites have slopes, so you need to be prepared with risers/levelers, and access to the trail is often down steps unless you go to the boat landing area. Unfortunately, the water had been unexpectedly turned off due to a water line leak, but we had enough water in our RV tank and a 2-gallon drinking water container so we were OK for our short stay. The pit toilets were well maintained by the camp host.

We stayed the first night with our RV and then left a tent thereafter, checking back daily and using the beach area to swim, but on the 5th day the host took our tent down, leaving an untrue "Courtesy Notice" stating he hadn't seen anyone for days. I took said notice to the host as indicated (less than 3 hours later, because we were there daily) and was verbally assaulted by the host and his female co-host. I was so shocked and unprepared that alls I could think to say in return is "You can educated without being mean." We packed up our belongings, some of which had been placed by the road by the host(s) later that day as I did not feel comfortable returning, even though we had done nothing wrong. There were many mean things said by these hosts and for absolutely no reason, I'm still completely dumbfounded by the experience. I paid almost $300 for the site and reserved it as soon the 6 month window opened, for my birthday. We left on Tuesday after this experience when instructed that regardless of what I paid, "This is not a day use area," when explaining we were present daily. If you see an old school bus in the host spot, be wary and if you're a female consider having someone with you.

The site I chose was the easiest to level my RV in my experience so far! Love this park!

I love this campground, but dont stay in site 29. I dont normally leave reviews but I had to leave this site after a few minutes of walking around it due to the overwhelming smell of sewage. I wish I had been warned, but I wasnt, I could not stay in this site and had to leave. So, now you know. Lots of other great sites, love the lake.

Great for watercraft-not as much for wading but ok for swimming if it's a hot day. A lot of the water & shoreline near the campsite is shaded.We came here to see the Perseid meteor shower and were not disappointed!Only downsides were no campfires and the smoke from nearby forest fires.Great hosts, clean facilities, and not too many people there.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
