I booked both 16 &17 for the weekend as these sites are essentially right next to each other and looking right at each other. They are also just looking at the bathroom, no water views, and smell like the bathroom so keep that in mind. We thought from the website that we had to buy firewood there so didnt bring any but there was no host all weekend and no wood bundles available so that was frustrating. Someone tried to take our second spot saying if we didnt fill it, it was fair game even though we paid for it as my partner has sensory issues and the sites are so close. 16 ended up being better as we could put our tent up in the trees a ways but 17 really was just gravel. More for RV/car. It was nice overall and we will go back to the reservoir and campsite, but will not book these spots again.

Absolutely loved my spot and the scenery. Perfect weather. Spacing was great as well along with clean bathroom facilities. No host. Four adjacent reserved spots the entire weekend never got used. This system is flawed and complete garbage with selfish intent. So many others could have used a spot this weekend.

We've been camping here for several years and have always enjoyed it. But this summer, we were shocked that due to the FS funding cuts by DOGE, there was no law enforcement available in the area. We were told by a FS volunteer there have been 2 assaults in the area, and we witnessed cars racing down the newly paved curvy roads past the campground at high reckless speeds, endangering all that happen to be on the road at the time. The volunteer told us this is now a regular thing up there. Not sure we feel safe to stay here next year.

Beautiful, quiet campground with clean vault toilets.

The camp manager, Beth, was excellent- very helpful and friendly. Made a wonderful stay even better.

The water; the setting, the sunsets. Various floaters abound.

Although we like Hood Crk Campground alot it is not well suited for us at all. We camp in a 36 ft. fifth wheel and there are very few sites that can accommodate our overall length. In reality I now only feel comfortable reserving pullthru sites #6, #7 & #11. Our last stay was in #10, which is also a pull thru. It was easy enough to pull in and set up but I felt I wouldn't have been able to pull out and onto the roadway without brushing up against trees on the passenger side and the road cut on the driver side. Luckily the occupants of #11 checked out before us and I was able to backup into their site and then pull out forward without having to make a sharp turn in the process. Had that option not been available I would have been forced to back out the way I pulled in, much easier said than done. I also find the round about at the end of the loop is to tight for anything bigger in length than my truck and trailer which I estimate to be about 50 ft. I wish the people responsible for providing the write up for each site would make it abundantly clear the maximum combined length of truck and trailer that can comfortably fit and navigate the campground and each particular site. We found that better camping options where available for us at Chisholm and Langohr.

Was a good time. gets a little noisey with the people parked above on the road playing music, they are out of the campground, but parked in the pullouts on the road. They need to put signs up and close them down at night.

Good Creek is a beautiful, well cared for camp ground. The camp hosts were extremely helpful and kind when we had an issue with our site. They helped us immensely. I would have given this campground a 5 star if it wasn't for the campsite #2. We booked it not knowing that the site is built on a hill with an uneven driveway. The angle made it difficult to even begin backing in our 17' trailer but then it immediately started scraping and we had to pull out. The camp hosts were able to accommodate us in another unused site, but that site #2 is not camper friendly. I hope that a better description is added on the website and made abundantly clear that a camper cannot fit. If you have a high clearance very small camper you may be able to fit but would struggle to level it once parked.

The campground is beautiful, with large, private campsites. The views are incredible and there is easy access to water activities and hiking trails.

We had someone trying to get into our camper van at 4:00am. Along with banging on the car in the campsite next to us causing damage. It was the scariest camping I have done in all my years. This area is just not safe anymore. So disappointing and sad.

The campsites have such beautiful views! The only thing that we wished we had known was that you cant fill your water tank at the campground, so fill up before you head out of Bozeman. The pit toilet was also out of TP for the first 18 hours we were there, so we had a rough start to our stay, lol! But well be back again to soak in the views and the R&R!

Always wanted to try our 24' trailer in site 19. Signs say max combined length of 20' but I had driven the loop and knew I could make it. It was no problem. Great site except when someone is in site 20. They are right in your face from site 19. For isolation purposes, I think site 12 is the best.

Large sites on a beautiful lake! Spots feel very private with thick tree coverage. Bathrooms were clean and odor-free despite being pit toilets. I noticed quite a few spots had steep parking areas not suitable to RVs or car camping. So just check the pictures for the sites you book.

The campsite was super. Someone had squatted in campsite leaving me to wait an hour while they packed up all their gear and having to put tent up in the dark. Camp host did nothing to alleviate.Cars revving engines late at night and a camper too big for the site next door leaving 30 mins of noise and lights very late at night making this camp ground too noisy and not well managed.

Very quiet and beautiful sites, some right in the lake.

The area around Hyalite Reservoir is beautiful. Unfortunately, there was an algae bloom when we were there. We paddleboarded, but did not swim. The vault toilets were kept very clean. It can be a long walk to drinking water or the dumpster depending on which campsite youre in. The wildflowers were enjoyable and we hope to return another year to swim.

Checks all the boxes for a perfect summer day at Hyalite - a short flight of steps from the car to fully shaded campsite, right on the water for easy launching of canoe and SUP, bear proof storage locker right on the site, clean bathroom right next door. Well spaced trees for a hammock or two!

Beautiful area to camp. Our site had a wonderful view of the lake. It was quiet and the campground is well maintained. The camp host did an excellent job of keeping the bathrooms clean! Look forward to our next trip.

Camper parking close to the road, then slopes down to a flat area for tents and the picnic table, then slopes down further to the water

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
