Got a spot right on the water to enjoy after work. Had some high school kids drinking in the site next to me and I ended up deciding to go home and sleep in my own bed for the night around midnight. They werent outrageous but I was tired and close enough to them that it was annoying. I decided to go back up the next day to put my kayak in the water. Upon going back, the next site was empty but their fire was still smoking with some active flames. I decided to go talk to the camp host, mostly to ask if I could stay a little late past checkout and I just said hey, are you the host? I didnt stay last night because of a party, can I go put my kayak in and leave at 1 instead of noon? To which she replied Im not going to babysit for you, bro! So I didnt even mention anything else because she obviously didnt care. So beautiful spot, but the attitude of the host was pretty disappointing. Never leave a fire unattended. A human caused wildfire in such a beautiful area would be tragic.

I love staying at Hood Creek, but the campground was closed early. We were told that it was due to the possibility of camper pipes freezing since overnight temps were dropping. I feel that it should be up to the campers if they want to camp or not. We have a winter package on our camper and go year round.
