I bring off a group of elementary kids to this spot every summer during our Adventure Week Camp. It's the perfect spot to run and play, build forts and explore the mountain. The huge ramada gives plenty of shade and tables for our crew. We didn't use the grills but there are a bunch of them. We DID get to use the fire pit this year and had a roaring good time making S'mores. The staff at the entry were friendly and helpful, the bathrooms surprisingly decent and the grounds very clean.

We held a small wedding at the beautiful amphitheater. You can't beat the sight for views and seating. The staff was amazing at greeting our guests, blocking parking, and checking in on us. The rocks are steep, which we knew, but could be a challenge to those with mobility issues. We loved that there were clean outhouse style restrooms and ample parking on a Monday morning.

We had a great spot for the campsite. Going for walks, playing cards, listening to radio and just kicking back was how we enjoyed our stay.

Rose Canyon Lake Campground is very nice location in the summer to escape the heat. The campground is situated in the mountains with great trees and beautiful views of the night stars. The only item that would prevent it from 5 Stars is the restroom facilities. The odor can be smelled from around the campground.

James and Joyce maintain these sites well. We camp here every summer and the bathrooms were the cleanest they've ever been in the past few years we've camped here. Trash is taken out daily and bathrooms restocked with toilet paper. We can't wait to come back next year! Thanks!

We stayed in our 20 ft. RV over the Fourth of July weekend to avoid the firecracker craziness in Tucson that frightens our dog. What a pleasure to have the quiet forest to walk our dog and ride our bikes! We thought it might be extremely busy, but our campsite was very private and people were very respectful. Will definitely be back! The camp hosts and personnel at the front gate were helpful and nice.

The area offers a nice respite from the summer heat of the Tucson area. My campsite, although near the bathroom offered no privacy from the neighbor camper. The parking spot was barely large enough for my Subaru. I would not select this campsite again, should I return.

Had an amazing time. The place is just gorgeous. I took my two purebred Belgian malinois with me it was the first time camping they had a blast. I have to give props to the staff well most of the staff with the exception of one was amazing they're a wonderful it was nice to meet the other campers went fishing got a lot of bites A few people were catching fish. It was nice to meet the other people fishing. But I want to give a special thanks to this one particular man he was on the golf cart and he checked on me for I was camping alone and that was very nice and he conversated with me and made my stay peaceful and worth it I don't remember his name but I did tell him I was going to write a review and I'm sorry I don't remember your name but I just you know who you are and I want to say thank you for everything you made my stay a pleasant stay and I will be back.

Clean campsite, friendly hosts and a very friendly fishing community! Lots of free advice for new anglers. Great experience.

We have been reserving the same spot every year, and enjoying the simplicity camping has to offer. We did have a visitor several times during our stay, which we could have done without. A skunk kept appearing in the evenings, which made us a little uneasy, but all in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Site #25 is a lovely spacious space. It was perfect for our camping set up. We put the tent near the parking space (rather tha up the hill near the table.) We had plenty of room to use the camp kitchen in the back of the van. There is plenty of room for a second tent or shade structure up the hill where the park table, fire ring and bear box are. Site #26 is nearby -- making it easy for families and friends to camp together. Be sure to use the bear box. We saw a skunk, a chipmunk and a squirrel sneaking around. Beautiful view.

We were the only campers out of the 5 campsites, but it was a week night. Campsite 2 is private and has great spots for hammocks. It is quite an incline up to the campsite, which is a bit of a workout. Great overall experience and beautiful views!

We had our wedding here and it couldn't have been more perfect. Plenty of seating, the beautiful backdrop of the forest, and the towering boulders. The camp staff were so friendly and excited for us. We were a bit worried about parking since it was so limited, but we were able to work out a "shuttle" service with some of our guests parking up by the main road and a couple of vehicles circulating through the campground.

The Rose Canyon campsite is conveniently situated for a visit to Mt Lemon. Reception was friendly and well organised. Facilities are clean and the campsite neat. Lots of trees and shade for most plots. The lake close by is an attraction on its own. Be careful when you book. Some of the plots are difficult to access, even for small tent camping.

WAY too long of a drive straight uphill. Scenery was very good but sites too close to each other and lake unusable so not worth it to me.

The campground is nice, and the nights were cold and refreshing. I reserved 3 campsites. My friends could stay only for 2 nights, but the authority didn't allow me to release one night and get a refund. This is a big disappointment that there is a rule, made by campground management, that I should pay for 3 nights over a long weekend no matter what. So, our 2 campsites were empty for one night, it was impossible to release them for people in need. I hope this review will help to change the rule.Tatiana Shaternik.

Met with harsh verbal communication at the fee booth when checking in with camper shorter than 24ft, which was said to be allowed on recreation.org website. Hosts at the fee booth strongly accused me of being wrong. Even after showing proof of website, host then accused the website of being wrong. With all evidence of proper and correct booking of site, host still insisted that I will need to turn around and leave. After the initial shock of treatment and confusion, one other host walked up from driving a golf cart and was briefed on the issue, he said to just try it out. At Campsite #33, found that the camper would fit in parking area. Enjoyed the rest of the two days there without any problems. Just didnt appreciate the harsh communication from such a simple miscommunication.

This was my personal first time camping and I planned the trip for my boyfriends birthday. We took both of our dogs who had never been camping before either and chose this location because it is close to home and we were looking to escape the heat of Tucson for a few days. While the later afternoon did get fairly warm (80 degrees outside in mid/late May) the morning and evenings were a really nice temperature. We were a little disappointed to learn that a fire restriction went into effect the morning of our first day and that did put a small damper on our trip but sometimes these things cannot be helped and overall it was a pleasant experience. I can see how it would feel crowded if all campsite were filled because while we had no neighbors during the days of our stay if those sites had been occupied there would be very little privacy afforded us. The bathrooms were clean and the host as check in was lovely at both arrival and departure. We are likely to visit again down the road.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
