Mccrea Bridge Campground is located in the Ashton/Island Park Ranger District, Caribou-Targhee National Forest (1 hr 23 min northeast of Idaho Falls, ID) with an elevation of 6,339 feet. There are a total of 17 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of May to mid September. 16 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 99 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $20.00 to $40.00. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

The campground itself was very clean and well laid out, with great access to Henry's Fork. The camp hosts were polite and professional. The only downside was the road noise from the Yale/Kilgore road, which had a noticeable change from years past.

Great campsite, and clean bathrooms. The tent pad was just large enough for our eight-man tent. I only wish we would have known how busy and loud the road leading to Mccrea Campground was, which was only about 50 yards from our csmpsite

Relatively loud being in proximity to main road. Pretty strict campground rules that are enforced. But overall, very pretty and some of the spots at the back of camp are beautiful. Its nice. I would go back. Just prefer less restrictive spots.

We stayed early in the year. River side camp site. Very quiet and peaceful. No traffic noise and a nice hiking trail. Bathrooms were very clean.

The camp was quiet, well kept and the bathrooms were clean and didnt have a bad smell. The camp host was nice and friendly!

Easy to find. Camp site well laid out. Love the Bear Boxes. Right on Henry's Fork. Bathrooms even smelled nice. I would definitely stay again.

Great campground for the price. A little bit buggy from the lake but didn't deter us. If your scared of gun shots in the distance, this site may not be for you. Camp Hosts were great and had good sized firewood bundles for the price. It was also very easy to navigate.

Our stay was wonderful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The hosts were great. We ended up having to stay beyond our reservation because of truck problems, and they were so helpful and patient with our situation. Next time we stay, it will be further in. The main road is a little noisy and this site is NOT a pull through as listed, otherwise it would be five stars.

We love McCrea Bridge campground. Just rustic enough to enjoy out of doors yet has amenities to make it comfortable. Sits right on Henry's Fork and in the middle of Island Park activities. Lots of trails to ride bikes, side x side's, etc. Close to Yellowstone Park, West Yellowstone and one of our favorite activities-Yellowstone Playhouse. Our campground host Doug was great. Came by just enough to make sure we were ok but was not intrusive. We hope he is there next year also.

Good campground, smaller in size which meant quieter. Shared water spigots were close to sites, bear boxes provided, no dump station or electric. Vault toilets were clean for the most part. Good space between sites. Host was great, helpful and friendly. Garbage collection was a bit tough being 2 days late. Overall we will be back.

camp host was wonderfull, very clean restrooms. The company that picks up the garabage needs to be disciplined! The dumpester was overflowing every week we were there. 2 days late picking up one week and was a recureing theme all summer. Don't understand why with grizzly bears around like the parks people said that came to our site several times. Our picnic table need attention for termite or bug damage, several sites had ends falling off. Overall was a positive experince, plan on retuning next year.
