This is a nice state park campground. The sites had plenty of space. Nice views if you are near the water. Plenty of wooded areas for shade. Bathroom building was clean. I would recommend for sure

Very well maintained with excellent volunteers. A storm came up one night and the volunteers knocked on our door to alert us that the tornado sirens were on and we might want to take shelter at the shower building. That was much appreciated! The park was quiet and we had a good view of the river. Starlink worked on our site.

This is one of our favorite COE parks. Host always helpful, grass mowed, bath house clean. What more -- oh yeah, the view of the barges going up and down the Arkansas River and going thru the lock & dam. Sunsets ....

Pros: Barges passing by on the river were fun to watch! Cons: Sites were smaller than expected for a COE, noise and smell from the nearby paper factory, rude neighbors kept lights on all night, and walked through our site up and down the river. There is a very busy day-use area adjacent to the park. It was nice to see so many local community members using the outdoors; however, it detracted from the peaceful camping atmosphere. The worst part of the experience is that there was a homeless couple who were allowed to move from site to site during our stay and ended up near us twice. She approached us twice, asking for our labor to help her move to their next campsite. She had a black eye and stated she was a victim of domestic violence, but had no choice because she insisted on keeping her two "service dogs" with her. Unfortunately, knowing about service dogs meant that those off-leash, constantly barking dogs were not actually trained service dogs. She also left them unattended on several occasions, and they barked nonstop. Service animals do not leave their patients and do not bark incessantly. They also took over a large log pile in the forest behind some campsites and chased other campers away. They were at that log pile after midnight with multiple vehicles and had it completely lit up. We have no idea what they were doing, but it didn't seem above board. Overall, this was the worst COE experience we've had yet. We were scheduled to stay for 14 nights and left after six nights.

Enjoyed the view of the river from the campground. Lots of space between each campsite. Nice little awning over the picnic table on some sites. Boat ramp at the campground. and we enjoy the water hookup and 50 amp.

Facilities and grounds are always clean. The campsites are spacious, so you dont feel like youre on top of anyone. I recommend walking over to the new pickleball courts if you are looking for fun activities! The playgrounds at the lock and dam are also great for the kiddos!

We love this campground. The sites are spacious and its quiet. The river is peaceful and its fun watching the barges go in and out of the lock and dam at the community park next to the campground.

we spent 2 days there and it was a beautiful time with the fall foliage. The campground was well taken care of. One negative is an industrial noise nearby that was annoying. We would stay again. We toured Petit Jean Park nearby and it was wonderful. A must see.

This location was beautiful, felt private enough, and a great spot near a playground and bathrooms. Its also very affordable for what you get: parking, water, electricity, lights, and a grill, if needed. Theres also two bar height spots which was perfect for setting up a buffet line for our party.

We stayed only one night at Old Post Road, but it was a very nice camp site. Everything was clean and orderly. We loved the mature tree canopy and view of the river below the dam.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
