The bathrooms were very clean. The hiking trails in the area were challenging, but not overwhelming. Campsites were clean the electrical and water hook ups wearing good condition and the campground is only 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown Hot Springs.. plan to stay there anytime I go to Hot Springs now.

I had a great stay overall, though I encountered an issue with another camper. Despite this, I would happily return. This was my first time camping, so I wasnt sure how everything would be organized. However, after walking around, I found it easy to navigate. A couple of things to keep in mind: the ground is mostly dirt and small gravel, without any grass. If youre camping in a tent, I recommend bringing a cushion, as lying directly on the ground can be uncomfortable. Check-in is at 2 PM, but my site was empty at noon, so you can set up early as long as the previous guest has left. If they are still there, theres plenty of overflow parking, and you can take a walk on a trail or play in the creek until they leave. I advise setting up and using the bathroom before dark, the streetlights are quite dim. If youre traveling alone, its a good idea to check in with park staff for safety, as they aren't present after hours. The contact number provided will only reach an agent who can leave a message, not a ranger. Although the camping spots are clearly marked, they are not separated by any barriers. Be aware that people may walk through your area to get around, even after dark. Overall, it was a good time and a great stay.

Website to set up registration is not user friendly, difficult at best. The campground is nice but have the campers packed in like sardines. The volunteer camp hosts were very helpful. There is no office manned for help, questions, etc. Spaces are to close together with narrow roads and do not easily fit larger campers. Mine is 38. Probably will not return.

While small, the campground has all the amenities one could need. The shower houses are single user, but very large and clean. They also require a PIN only accessible to campers. Site 16 is VERY steep. We needed up moving to another site due to not feeling comfortable with how the camper sat so high up. We would definitely stay again.

Name was not posted on campsite as required. The last campers name was still posted, very confusing .Camp host was not active at all , had to search them out to confirm my reservation. After asking if they were camp host , they never confirmed to me they were. Then yelled out their RV door that I was confirmed.. other campers also said they had no contact with camp host ? They did not want to be bothered !!

Its a beautiful place, and I felt safe. Nice hikes around the campground. I came just for overnight camping, and would like to come back to enjoy the area.

Beautiful park, close to downtown Hot Springs, nice hiking trails. only issue there were no staff on site while there, spent 3 days there. Our reserved site we booked online was so unleveled for our size camper, the front was jacked up so high, we did not feel it was safe to walk and move around in it, when we first called the office was told we could not be moved because we made reservations online, tried calling them, no answer, called the office back told us again we could not be moved to go get the campground host he would show us how to level, like we didn't know hung up on them tired from driving 10 hours there. Finally when the host came out and seen what we were dealing with he moved us. This should not be this difficult Finally after all that BS we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay. FYI site 7 not good for a bigger camper.

Gulpha Gorge is a beautiful campground. Very quiet for the number of campers. Our campsite (#24) was steep and narrow. Auto-level failed due to the height of the trailer nose. Site so narrow that the steps had to have a cement block under them. Was difficult for our handicapped friends to visit and wife twisted an ankle. Neighbors couldnt open their awnings without hitting our rv. Camp Hosts were great and helpful.

Park host Barry was great . When our trailer wouldnt fit in the site he was able to get us into a perfect fit. Beautiful park. Convenient to the main Park in Hot Sptings

Great campground with friendly host and fast response to our maintenance request. Some of the sites can be a little tight to back into for larger rigs, but we loved the campground. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

The best hiking trail. Hiked to town several times. Did the bath house. Laid in the creek. We only stayed one day on the way out and it was not enough. and hit it again on our way back from Utah it was so great.

Nice Campground overall. Nice that there are sewer connections at each site. Only comments would be that some of the sites are not very level. Causing folks to have to do a lot of work to Level their camper.Second bigger complaint is that the bathhouse only has one shower. For that many sites thats way too few. Not sure what you were thinking there?

The campground was beautiful and convenient to getting to town. We loved being able to hike right out of the campground. The biggest problem was the bathrooms in the middle of the campground. They were recently updated to include showers, so there are only two bathrooms and in the morning and evening, it was very difficult to use them for anything because so many people were lined up to shower.
@RebeccaW266200 · Camped on Jun 26, 2025 at Campsite #10
Ironically the drinking water was turned off at the water fountains. Yes- theres 1 campground shower, but its also the main bathroom for a camping loop so not designed well. The map was inaccurate and had not been updated with the new dumpster location. No ranger/manager found on site (self check in) campground hosts were labeled on or off duty & both of their cars were gone the entire afternoon so I was unable to get answers to questions. I left after one night.

Great spot. Bathrooms were nice and easy access to hiking trails and hot springs

Since the restroom/shower combinations are for a single camper, the rooms should be unisex - not mens and womens.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
