Gulped Gorge campground is nestled in the woods right on Gulpha Creek. Each campsite is gorgeous. We had one right on the Creek and it was beautiful. Has electricity and water. It's a great little campground!

campground was very nice and clean , camphost very helpful with getting the right spot . only stayed for 3 nights and it was cold and rainy so didn't get to explore much , it's close to town and other spots in hot springs area , the shower house was well kept and had a lot of hot water , just wish that the heat would of been a little warmer . next time we're in the area we will stay here again

Great place to be if you want access to the park trails. You will feel like you are in the deep woods while at the campground.

Loved our stay here! First night was at #4, last minute booking so we were able to book this site. Next night was along the creek, site 23 or 28. Lovely! Rained our second day, full on camping rain, so we didn't get to enjoy a campfire along the creek, but it would have been amazing. The firepits were super nice, halfway filled with concrete which elevates the fire while warming up the base for added heat. The camp was well maintaint and there are hiking trails across the creek. Coming back, for sure.

Beautiful site on the creek with full hook ups. Host is on duty and very responsive. Love this spot to hike into town.

#30 was positioned directly across from the bath facilities and had an electric hook up. The tent space was great and we had a view of the stream below.

The hosts were exceptionally helpful, close proximity to Hot Springs (walk on the trail or bike on the roads), trailhead for hiking right there.

When we pulled in, someone took our spot at 9:00 at night We called numbers and none worked but finally found host. Thats the worse. The rest? One host worked the whole time we were there cleaning, caring, and apologizing about our experience. What great people! Ive never been in a park yet where a host continually cared for the park. At one point blowing open spots for the next person, cleaning out fire pits. It was nice to see someone who cared!

Signs marking the entry road are not clear. Other than that, Gulpha Gorge is easy to get to.It is in very good condition with plenty of open sites in late November.We used Gulpha Gorge for a staging area to explore distributed camping further south in the Sabine National Forest. Most campers used it for boating and fishing.

Camp host was friendly and the facilities were clean. The campground was quiet and the scenery was stunning. Love coming here. Cant wait to come back in the spring.

Great location! Close to everything, but far enough to be quiet. Beautiful stream and trailheads from the grounds.

If you have an RV with a slide/slides and the new fold down steps try to see pictures of the camp sight before selecting one. Almost all the spots are narrow pavement with the drop offs of up to 4 inches at the edge of the paved area. Many have trees fairly close to the pavement which will interfere with your slide. On top of that most of the rv spots are NOT very level so bring plenty of leveling blocks to be able to get your RV level.

The campsite we had was right on the Gulpha Creek, very pretty. Everything we wanted to see and visit was close by. We found the area and people very friendly. I especially enjoyed the Dryden Ceramic Store and the Mc Clards BBQ restaurant. The full hookup on the campsite was a plus.

Gulpha Gorge is a great stay and we have been here multiple times traveling from South Carolina to Oklahoma.

Great hiking trails. Nice quiet campground with level pads. Site 33 can be tricky to get into with the trees. Recommend it for smaller travel trailers or tents . Not a site for 5th wheels or large RV.

Great spot close to almost anything you can think of.

The actual campground sight and location is beautiful! In anyone who has tried to book a site here can find it challenging. That being said when I arrived, my site had a different individuals name on the site post. Where it got confusing and complicated, is there were no site host on duty. Fortunately, one of the parks maintenance personnel came around, and although this was not his duty nor responsibility, he went out of his way to contact his supervisors to see if he could resolve the issue for me. What I did not want to happen was in the middle of the night someone knocking on my door claiming I was occupying their site. After nearly an hour and him making several phone calls finally got a hold of an individual that could confirm that I indeed had the reservation for that night. Otherwise, I wouldve rated this site Five star as excellent.

There was no camp host. Site 7 is very unlevel as stated in the description. Plan on going back next year to do more hiking.

Campground was clean, quiet, and located in shaded/wooded area adjacent to a stream and adjoining trails.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
