We've stayed at Gulpha Gorge a number of times, this is the first time for site 4. Site 4 is paved, roomy and has great access to the bathroom.

Fantastic destination! The booking website was a bit problematic but got it worked out.

I enjoyed my stay. The campground is nicely maintained. Most campsites are nicely spaced. So you're not right on top of your neighbor. Water and electric utilities in my site worked fine. The site was fairly level. The campground has a very nice amphitheater, but there were no nightly Ranger talks happening while I was there. A shuttle from the campground to the Hot Springs would be helpful, possibly funded by small fee or donations. There is very little RV parking available near the visitor center.The RV sanitary dump station was out of service during my visit. It's sad to see amenities in a National Park campground out of service. It seems to take a very long time to make the repairs and put those features back in service again.

Bathrooms were clean and very nice. Its a peaceful area in general and for my first time camping Id say it was an easy fun experience for both me and my friend

This a beautiful camp ground with easy access to get in and out of with the camper. It is close to other national park amenities and is worth the stay!

Small campground with great access to the National Park trails. The sites are small, but the vibe is relaxed. Great location for visiting Hot Springs.

Nice lots with trees for cover. Some camp sites are fairly close together. Shower houses were okay. Running creek behind some of the sites. Overall nice place and would return.

Well maintained campground. Spacing on campsites is tight on north end of the campground and by the creek so you get to hear a lot about your neighbors and their pets at peak times. One shower (each) for men/women so expect queueing if the campground is full. Plenty of toilets across the campground is a bonus.. A lot of traffic on the adjacent road (AK 7) so it can be noisy, even in the late evening.

When we arrived to our site 39 and got backed in we noticed the grass was knee high and there was a holly bush growing under the picnic table and to top that there was a tree stump 4 round right in the front door of our camper. This was on a Thursday. Once we got set up, I walked across to the office to let the host know about the grass, they were no where to be found for 4 days . During our stay it was over 100 degrees and next to our camper on the back side was a young man sleeping in the back of his truck. We went down town to eat and when we got back and went inside to watch some TV our camper was full of smoke from the fire pit behind us. We were up all night, who has a fire with 100+ degrees outside. Sunday morning the host comes over to our campsite and says to us she had a complaint Friday about us having our canopy up near the road between the two sites. This was the only place we could put up our canopy and have a shade because of the grass and tree stump in our way. WE WONT BE GOING BACK

Very steep. Hard to get camper level. No above ground grill just on fire ring. Bathroom smell is very strong. Good campground overall just be careful picking a site. A lot of sites are very un-level and pitched to one side. Hard to level campers without a lot of cribbing. Very close to a very busy road so noise may be a factor also. A lot of day traffic uses picnic area at camp entrance. No staff at hospitality house and app would not let me check in or out per instructions at hospitality house. Had to find camp staff who had to do it for me.

32 was level, clean and had a nice layout. The pad is narrow, so I disagree that two vehicles can fit. My trailer doesn't have slides, but I had to park my truck sideways in front of the trailer. The bathhouse is your door side neighbor and is close by. The bathhouse was very clean. The entire campground was clean, well-kept and quiet.

Great spot - sites are close, but no issues from that. Facilities are really nicely kept, and you can easily hop on some trails without having to drive out from the campsite. There will be some road noise, so bear that in mind.

Wonderful national park campground! If possible, try to stay along the creek. You'll be lulled to sleep on those soft nights with the windows open. Only downside: the bathrooms. There are only two for the whole campground and they serve as showers as well. The sites are full hookup, but the bathrooms still see a lot of traffic. Literally waiting in line outside as if you were back at scout camp....Other than that, very nice full hookup national park campground.

We enjoyed our stay here. The campground was well kept with lots of shade. The site was level. There was nice hiking directly from the trailheads by the park. We heard others comment about road noise but we were not bothered by any. The only negative was that the previous campers used the fire pit as a garbage can and it was filled with trash when we arrived. We would certainly stay here again.

I had a great stay overall, though I encountered an issue with another camper. Despite this, I would happily return. This was my first time camping, so I wasnt sure how everything would be organized. However, after walking around, I found it easy to navigate. A couple of things to keep in mind: the ground is mostly dirt and small gravel, without any grass. If youre camping in a tent, I recommend bringing a cushion, as lying directly on the ground can be uncomfortable. Check-in is at 2 PM, but my site was empty at noon, so you can set up early as long as the previous guest has left. If they are still there, theres plenty of overflow parking, and you can take a walk on a trail or play in the creek until they leave. I advise setting up and using the bathroom before dark, the streetlights are quite dim. If youre traveling alone, its a good idea to check in with park staff for safety, as they aren't present after hours. The contact number provided will only reach an agent who can leave a message, not a ranger. Although the camping spots are clearly marked, they are not separated by any barriers. Be aware that people may walk through your area to get around, even after dark. Overall, it was a good time and a great stay.

Website to set up registration is not user friendly, difficult at best. The campground is nice but have the campers packed in like sardines. The volunteer camp hosts were very helpful. There is no office manned for help, questions, etc. Spaces are to close together with narrow roads and do not easily fit larger campers. Mine is 38. Probably will not return.

The bathrooms were very clean. The hiking trails in the area were challenging, but not overwhelming. Campsites were clean the electrical and water hook ups wearing good condition and the campground is only 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown Hot Springs.. plan to stay there anytime I go to Hot Springs now.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
