This is urban camping. Campground is right next to a road that is active all night. Would only recommend for those that are hard side camping.

Site was awesome, we have stayed at this site in the past and at Gulpha Gorge numerous times. Love this NPS campground and highly recommend it!

Beautiful campsites right on the creek. Very quiet campground as well.

We did not have any problems with the lack of rangers or services. Everyone at the campgrounds was self-policing. Gulpha Gorge is a beautiful camp. We had a spot right along the creek. It was very peaceful, clean, and quiet.

Busy but quiet campground. Good hookups although facilities with limited occupancy. Walkable to some trailheads. Beautiful stream behind camping sites.

Coming into the campground, there was no signage! We drove around several times before finding our site (#3). The site was nice enough, although not very level. The firepit was not in a very nice place. The picnic table blocked its view from the patio of the trailer. Hot Springs was a great little town! Enjoyed that very much. Must go to the Ohio Club bar. Its where Al Capone hung out! Bathhouse Row was interesting. We will be back just for the town!

had a great site on the creek, small campground so it was quiet even being right next to hot springs ark. a sign on the shower house showing where the other bathrooms are and that they are always open could be a good thing to keep people from banging on the door when you are trying to shower when all they had to do is walk 30 yards to them

We had a good experience. The hiking trails were a bit challenging for us because of the grade. BE sure to go to one of the bathhouses. The water is great

We went mostly for the hiking trails, watch for copperheads. Nice and quite campground, small spots, but expected for the size of the campground. Dumpster was overflowing on Monday. Hiked a few trails the first day, to Hot Springs and back the second day. Good workout for 70 yo with both knees replaced.

When we arrived there were 3 off duty camp hosts and no one on duty. The building marked for registration is positioned so that we were too far into the campground for the road to our campsite. The building had no envelopes or directions for us to follow to check in. I found the site number in an email and proceeded to look for the best way to get to the site. The campground is beautiful, the site was fine. It was just the lack of camp hosts presence that was a problem.

Flat ground, good location next to the bathroom. Near a stream to sleep and listen to natural white noise at night. Plenty of room for a 4 person tent. No drive thru check-in station. Ranger came around later and checked us in while we were pitching up the tent. Parking is expensive on the main street of the bathhouses, same for the parking garages, but free parking is available if you drive off the main street, it's just a little more of a walk to the main attractions.

The park is nice but the sites could use some improvement. They are very un level & some are very difficult to get in to. The hosts were very nice & helpful.

For the campsite they should have gotten a poor. The campground needs a face lift. The sites are not level causing those who do not have a leveling jack system on their trailer or in our case motorhome to just hope for the best. Water drained into our AC and we started smelling smoke so we cut it off and it is OK now. You can go to the office in town to make a statement but that is all you will be doing. They will just listen and ignore you. You can change spots if there are any available and you can also repay for those spots paying double. The bath house located on the site where so slimy that you could not touch anything once inside and by all means wear flip flops while there. Use clorox cleanups to get in and out of the doors and hope for the best. These were so bad we dared not even try the bathhouses in town this national park is famous for. I only gave better than poor because the outside natural environment is nice. With the national forest owning the bathhouses in town and making that kind of money on the tower and other items they should do better. We also bought one day and then purchased two other days before we got their and they once they learned the one day was up tried to have out motorhome towed. Not looking at their own records to see we had purchased 2 other days just jumping to conclusions. The lady called me several times but my phone was in the motorhome at the time. When we got back to the motorhome she was there asking why I never answer my phone. She was rude about it even though she already learned of her mistake. We stayed our nights thanking the heavens above it was not hot and we left for the rest of our vacation. Noting to never go there again.

Two showers for forty campsites was not enough. Other than that, very nice.

Shower facilities were great!The campsites were small and too close to the road. Impossible to get level. I suppose down closer to the creek they were okay but where we were I couldnt wait to get out of there.

We were in site 42. It backs up on the creek and was easy to back into.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
