Our campsite was not right at the water's edge but the water was very easy to get to without disturbing our neighbors. Great size campsites, clean toilets, and great trails nearby! The camp hosts were very kind and helpful!

The campsite was picture perfect and quietly serene with designated areas for tents including bear-proof food storage boxes. The restroom facilities were clean and well managed. There was zero shade at our site, which worked well for our overcast late-May trip, but could be hot in the peak of summer. The camp site is just a short drive from Grand Lake for a day trip, boat rentals, restaurants, etc. The water in Lake Granby was chilly but nice to wade into up to mid-thighs - easy paddle boarding access from the campsite. The roaring fork is accurately named and offered great white noise for sleeping. We encountered a black bear walking through the campsite within 100ft of us. It was alarming, but didnt cause any ruckus. My one complaint was the lack of bear safety information at the campsite; Id suggest adding bear and moose safety flyers at the restrooms and within each bear box.

Campsite is excellent - easy access to two different restrooms. Shaded. Good location for exploring both Monarch Lake & trails as well as Lake Granby & trails. Highly recommend the drive to take a morning walk around Monarch Lake!

Camp hosts were incredibly kind and the vault toilets were always clean. The Roaring Fork loop is stunning. Some sites right on the water and a couple of sites right on the Roaring Fork Creek as it heads into the bay.

Arapaho Bay is a beautiful area. The campground is well equipped and our loop, the Moraine Loop was very well maintained by the campground host. Our only issue was the closeness of the sites. We were in site 42 and there were about 5 sites there that were extremely close together. The parking area for the site to our south was only about 10 feet or so from where our popup trailer was sitting.

We enjoyed our three night stay in site 17. Our friends were in 16. We had plenty of room, our 27 ft fifth wheel fit with no problems. The site was pretty level too. The bathrooms were kept clean by the camper hosts.Other campers didn't have great camping etiquette and would walk through site 16 to get to the bathroom. There was one camper who ran his generator from 8 am to 8 pm. That was a little annoying.

Stunning Location, But Be Prepared for BugsWe recently camped at ARAPAHO BAY ROARING FORK, 060, and I have to say, the location was absolutely stunning. The scenery was beautiful, with a nearby inlet and waterfall that not only added to the view but also drowned out any noise, so it felt peaceful even though it wasnt totally private. Everyone around us kept to themselves, which was nice.The campground was very clean and well-maintained, and the vault toilets were well-stocked and about as clean as you can expect. The biggest issue we faced was the bugs. The mosquitoes and flies were insane and definitely impacted our experience. We ended up setting up a screened tent, and the kids spent most of their time in there to avoid getting eaten alive.Unfortunately, there was a fire ban, so we couldnt have a campfire, and it poured rain the first night. But even with all the drama, we still had an amazing time. I just wish we had more time to enjoy it, and we cant wait to go back.

Loved this campground, close to the lake and close to RMNP

The area is beautiful and there is great paddleboarding but the mosquitos were the worst I have experienced in Colorado. You can't even sit outside - no matter what time of day. There are large marsh bogs adjacent to the lake that most likely cause this. The site was very private and had a path to one of the only semi-private beach areas in the campground so that was nice. No views from the site though. There was also a bear roaming the campground. The bugs ruined the experience honestly. They were really bad.

Jen was a great host. Our site was great (55) and probably had the best view of the RV sites. The road getting to the campground is the only negative (washboard very rough road).
@JaredH8168368 · Camped on Jul 11, 2024 at Campsite #81
Weather was very nice. Facilities aka vault toilet was okay, weve had better. Site was very close to neighbors with no privacy. Mosquitoes were everywhere. We had a competition on who got bight the most and my daughter won with over 120.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
