Beware of ARAPAHO VALLEY RANCH!!! We camped at the Big Rock loop which is situated right next to Arapaho Valley Ranch which occasionally hosts private events. I am not exactly sure what was happening there but all night Friday & Saturday we kept hearing a crowd "WOOOH"'ing and there was a live band playing until 10 PM. Not exactly the peaceful camping experience we were hoping for.

Excellent spot, but youll definitely need to bring some shade. It is a bit of a hike up the hill from the parking spot, but a little closer if you drive around and go up from the vault toilets. Theres another site close through the trees that was unoccupied while I was there. That site will need to walk through this site to get to vault toilets. You can hear the water through what Ill call the spillway(couldnt find the source but didnt look hard). Theres a great little shop at the entrance to the campsite for wood and stuff. Great view of the bay. Overall a great site if you dont have a lot of gear to haul up.

I have stayed at this campground many times over the years. The bathrooms have always been clean along with the campsite. However, on more than one occasion, there has been issues with water being available. This past trip there was no water available - but at least it was communicated prior and I was given a partial refund.

Pleasant host, great campsite overlooking the lake, bear boxes were clean, water was closed but partial refund was provided. Long entrance road for a bumpy vehicle but a beautiful drive. Fun little store and campground lodge nearby. They stock essentials and even had free chicken eggs! Would highly recommend the campsite.

We camped for 4 days in our 26' trailer at Arapaho Bay Big Rock Loop. The entire Loop is beautiful, very forested. All of the sites we saw were well maintained and clean as were the bathrooms. The host was friendly and helpful. Only suggestion might be if you are backing in a trailer you may want to choose a different site. We were in site 15 and getting in between the trees and still pulling the steps down onto the pad was tricky. We managed but next time (and there will be a next time) we will choose a different site.

The site was clean and great! Check fire regulations, we really missed the campfires, but that's weather, not the site's fault. Great hike down the road at the lake!

Scenery is breath taking. The water is prestine. The trailheads are well kept and well marked all the way through. The trails are difficult and crossing water is common. This is the perfect book reading place or a favorite for any outdoor enthusiast.

Centralized spot, close to restrooms, this spot has 2 neighbors with no privacy. Restrooms are clean. Short walk to the lake. It is accessible and easy to carry SUP or kayak. Has a bear box and fire pit.

I really liked this campground. This spot specifically was across from the bathrooms which was nice as opposed to the one thats directly next to it which wouldnt have much privacy as people go to throw away their trash and use the bathrooms. Its also near the end of the loop so not really any people walking by. Theres enough trees for privacy and a large hill behind with a nice overlook if you walk to the top. I did hear campers to my left and right but luckily they were quiet. Also keep in mind theres a stage 2 fire ban going on in Grand County right now. That means only propane grills are allowed which is probably going to be for weeks or months. Kind of puts a damper on the whole camping experience.

Site 60 requires walking past other sites to access, but it is a gorgeous view and private on most sides. The lakeview sites are close to each other and require you to walk into your site from the parking lot, but they have unbeatable views and lake access! Especially clean vault toilets! We saw lots of moose and a marmot from our site, and could just look out at the beauty on all sides for hours. We were quickly warned about a bear who had become accustomed to food due to bad camping habits, and some of our neighbors still left garbage out. If you don't keep a spotless campsite, you shouldn't be camping here. Appreciated the great communication from camp hosts!!

The bathrooms in Moraine Park loop were pristine. The hostess were great. It was disappointing that there was no water and that the 25% discount for there being no water was only applicable for online reservations. It was also disappointing that the host for the Big Rock loop was never around. I checked 3 times a day for 5 days. Only on the last was she available and by then her services were no longer needed.

A bit chaotic with a school group in the campground. Lots of generator noise and nearby repair working on chain saws.

The campground itself was beautiful. Lots of shade at almost every site. Large fire rings with grill attachments and bear boxes for food storage. There was an unaffiliated ranch across the street, that played live music Friday and Saturday into the night that was obnoxiously loud, wasnt a problem for us, but dont expect a serene quiet experience. I would go again, but hope they change the camp host. She was very rude, and charged our friends to stay at our site.

James & Lynn and Cori were the most amazing hosts! Weve been camping here for years, and they really went above and beyond for their guests. Bathrooms were so clean! Thankful for these kind hosts and hope they will be back next year!

We visited this site on Jul 27th. No moon meant the sky was pitch dark and we could see 3 satellites at the same time and the Milky Way. There's no sink to clean to do the dishes or brush your teeth. There wasn't running water, so you need to take as many gallons as you would need.Very pleased with the view. Services could improve. James was a cool host.

I love this Place. My host was very professional and caring. Somebody left the trash/food out, which attracted bears . My host suggested for me to purchase certain items in town to protect myself. (Her words I wont be able to sleep till you purchase the items) I went into town and texted her that I di have them and send a picture as well) Thanks for keeping us safe, clean facilities, clean camping-sites and the upmost respect for us campers! Its always a pleasure camping at Arapahoe Bay.

We have been coming to this location for 10yrs. This trip was extra special as we had deer on the 1st night come through the campsite, a moose on the 2nd day and we seen a black bear on our last day just outside the camping area. The camp hosts are always super friendly and the place was spotless and clean. The camp only blemish on the trip was our campsite had the worst infestation of mosquitoes we have ever seen but that is camping. In the end, this place never disappoints.

We enjoyed the area but wished we had a campsite closer to the water. We were too far to walk to the lake and had to drive our camper to see it. So if you go, look for a site on or near the water. The drive back to the campground was a long dirt road so be ready for that.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
