This could have been a great camp site. The host was by far the most welcoming I have experienced in Colorado for the last 25 years.Unfortunately I had to leave a day early after two nights. The noise on CO. HWY 14 was unbearable. Day and Night I listened to Livestock Simi Trucks hitting "Air Breaks" as they entered the canyon. I would wake up every couple of hours. It might have been quieter sleeping in a park in Fort Collins. The Recreation.gov did not indicate that the river was nearly inaccessible from this campground due to a 20' drop-off.

Great campground. We loved our campsite (Bear 09) and enjoyed the late summer weather.

This was the best experience I had at a campground with vault toilets. Curt, who is the campground host was just great! He, and his crew, kept everything immaculately clean, well stocked, and pleasant smelling. He was friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable about the area and was a friendly face from sun up to late in the evening. The shower room was as clean as the toilet rooms and in good working order with plenty of hot water. The Pourdre valley is a wonderful place and the experience was made that much better by a wonderful campground host.

The campground was well maintained. Great campsites and unlike the last time we camped there (June) the bathrooms were always clean. We know it from camping there, but it might be helpful for new campers to have signage letting them know firewood is available from the campground host.

The trail that starts at the campground is very tough. It is NOT 2.0 miles and it is not easy.

Mountain park has alway been our go to for camping :) Our experience this time was ok, but not the same as it used to be. We were greeted graciously by the host:) Love the bear proof containers, however they had reminisce of previous visitors left inside. The camping perimeter used to be well kept, raked and cleaned. This time definitely not groomed or cleaned. The fire pit was more than half full, which is surprising considering the fire danger. There were piles of toilet paper through out the outside perimeters of the site, obvious toilet spots, along with various pieces of trash and cans. Bathrooms were clean :) however the host proceeded to run an obnoxious power washer, literally noticed it around 2:30 till I asked him to please stop, washing the shower side walks, at dusk 7:00 pm. (we were in site 3) We can appreciate his devotion to cleanliness there, but not at our paid expense of 4 1/2+ hours of continuous noise. So, yes, we were sadly a bit disappointed with our recent visit.

We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the walking paths along the river, and the space between the campsites. There is a nice hike loop and map near the entrance to the campground.

As an avid camper we have been pleased with this campground on previous visits. However, our visit in August was worst camping experience ever. Never saw Mark the camphost except at his RV. Campground needed attention. Fire pit was over flowing, bear box had trash in it, and there as litter all over the campsite. What was worse was the unclean bathrooms and clogged drain in shower from all the hair on the drain. It was very apparent no one had been cleaning the campground yet there was a host on site. There was a group at the group site and we witnessed them picking up trash and sweeping the bathroom when they 1st arrived. Very unfavorable experience for many campers

No water hookup for rvs. They claim it is to prevent cross connections. A cross connection device would solve that problem. No very expensive to make it so you dont have to buy water in Rustic RV Park for $.75 a gallon! We were there four days and the bathrooms were never cleaned. No fly strips so the flies were bad in the outhouse. Only thing the host did was replace the toilet paper.

Our fire pit was full of trash and cans when we arrived to site 14. Tried to find camp host and didnt see them until the morning we were leaving. We took all the trash out and logs that were 1/2 burned and finally had our own fire. Restrooms were cleaned once in the three days and two nights we were there. Smelled very bad. Learn from Lake Dowdy hosts please.

All was well until a family of 15 moved in next to us at nearly dusk & talked till 4:00 am. We advised them to check in with the Host for other sites, but not sure they did.

We had an amazing time and this place is awesome. Great location on the river with plenty of places to get in and play for the day. The sites are well-maintained. The hosts are kind and welcoming and everything is very clean. The showers were great!

Mountain Park is one of my favorite campgrounds. Forested and quiet with ample size sites. Located well to swimming, rafting, hiking, and other outdoor activities. A nice respite without a prohibitive drive.

Nice spot to camp with a 23 trailer. Great shower for $1 and clean toilets. Wonderful and safe wading area on the river. Plus a nice walking trail along the river. This is our second visit.

No hot water in mens showers, shower broken in the handicap shower, the fire pit was not cleaned out, my wife and I spent an hour cleaning out the fire pit.

Really well-maintained and family-friendly campsite! My only drawback was that we didn't actually find firewood available on site, but luckily our neighbors had some we could borrow. More information about where to find firewood would be helpful for guests trying not to bring their own wood into the park (which I believe is discouraged).

We have been going to Mountain Park for 25 years. The management of the Park is the worst we have ever seen. We never saw a bathroom or showers cleaned in the 6 days we were there. We never witnessed a camping spot raked or cleaned either. It was so much better when the former Company managed it. It is shameful.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
