Site 5 is beautiful, right next to the water. There wasn't much shade during the day so make sure to bring a canopy. Camp host is located down the way at Ansel Watrous in case you need firewood. You get 1 parking spot free, $8 per night for an extra vehicle.

Great campsite and great camp host. Everything well maintained and clearly communicated. Would stay again.

Camp host very rude and not welcoming at all.

The camp host was great. There was an issue with someone else in our campsite and they handled it quickly for us. The Bertie was great but the river had too many rafters that go down it and there werent any fish because of them.

Wonderful Campsite. We paid $765 to hold 7 of the 9 spots for 4 days. Camphost was great. But hordes of non-paying day visitors invaded the area all weekend. Host had to clean the bathrooms everyday. People walking their dogs and pooping on our campsites all weekend. Highly annoying fly fisherman all over the place. All the fish are caught & dead. Trespassers fishing for hours right in front of our paid campsite. They used our site for free. Need to put up more signs. There are two day use areas within a mile, but day users own Stove Prairie. Need at least a dozen signs clearly saying that if you did not pay a fee, do not stop here. Tried to tell the invaders but they took over anyways. Maybe cones and barriers with signs? Other people took our spots before we set up tents. Can I get a refund?

The site is fine. It's a bit primitive, but not totally. Right next to the river which is awesome.My real issue is that I find working through reserve America a bit like trying to get Taylor swift tickets through ticket master.Hard to see the map and get back to selecting dates; plus always the one I want that had been open 5 minutes before is no unavailable and I have to get the non handycap spot, watching some young family with toddlers get it instead of the dude in the wheel chair.

The campsite is absolutely beautiful if you don't mind walking a short distance to your campsite. More shade than lots of other sites with great river access, including some beach areas, depending on the water level.

The site was great and our camp host was super friendly. The river provided a noice ambiance as our neighbors belched the night away. Truly unforgettable

Made better travel time to mountains than expected. Arrived a little after 12 PM. Campground empty except 2 out of 9 sites occupied. Our sites were empty and looked available. Camp host showed up and started harassing my sound about being in spot before 2 PM. Telling son that he could make him leave. Very unprofessional in approach. Since just arrived, I took dog for quick walk. During absence he wen to 2nd site and approached our female dentist friend and wife. Telling them same of he could make them leave and come back in 2 hours. Makes absolutely no sense. Baffling how much of a power trip this guy is on. Camp host then informed female dentist friend that she had to pay $8 for her vehicle (we had 2 included in reservation). She stated that she did not know about it (was our guest for the weekend). Camp host insulting stating that if she "could just read" she she would see she needs to pay $8. Our dentist friend pointed out that she may have more education than him and that implying she could not read is an insult an unprofessional. His main focus remained trying to get the $8 in untraceable cash. Paying by card not an option. Observation is did the same for other sites. not sure how much was reported? He never cleaned restrooms. Dried feces on stool and seat entire weekend. Campers stated it was also that way when they arrived. Restocked paper once per day with 4 rolls TP for 9 campsites. Discovered large rattle snake on trail right after kids and camphost just walked it. Lucky neither were bit. In past one width mowed allow visibility. Not this guy. No work other than trash patrol. No rattlesnake warning sign on bulletin board. Our guest left early next morning, due to not having $8 cash for another. host ruined whole weekend. Camping this for over 30 years. those hosts friendly, did custodial, left folks alone to enjoy & relax. Not him.

We loved listening to the river, the river makes a big arc here and there is a nice beach with sand and small stones that the kids enjoyed, bathrooms were nice, and the trails had small gravel on them which kept the mud factor down. However, the campsites are close together without a buffer between. It was much nicer during the week as we pretty much had it to ourselves.

Awesome little campground! This spot may be tricky to back into for some bigger trailers, but is plenty big once youre lined up and everything. Beautiful little trail back to the river and an area to put some chairs and just relax listening to the water. I didnt mind being right next to the road, but can see how it may annoy some people at night with bright car lights.

The only problem here is that there is absolutely no cell service. you have to drive 15 - 20 miles to get service. There's a little highway noise but mostly it's covered up by the sound of the river.

Loved this little campground and our site. Close proximity to Mishawaka. Even though we were in the Canyon, the highway was out of site and it was nice and quiet. Highly recommend!

Didn't actually stay here because I did not realize I was booking a tent-only site. Would be nice to get a pop-up before booking tent-only to be sure. The tent-only spots seemed the nicest as we drove thru as they seemed to be the ones on the river. The car sites were huddled around the parking lot just off the road.

Beautiful little campground on the river. Each site has easy access to the river which is just perfect. Like all campgrounds on the Poudre, there is some road noise but it's mostly washed out by the sound of the river. There is no host on site but they stopped by frequently to check on things.

Small campground. Site #2 was a perfect site for our 32 Foot trailer. The tent sites were attractive as well. The campsite is right on the Poudre River. No hiking trails but paths to the river. Right off the road but with the sound of the river there wasn't any road noise. We used the campground as a base to visit Moose Visitors' Center west near Waldon and the state park there. It is only 30 some minutes to Fort Collins to the east. The campground manager was very friendly and kept the campground clean. They are in charge of several camping sites and don't live on this one.

Sites by the river are beautiful, clean bathrooms and good hiking areas nearby.

This is a beautiful campground with great trees for shade. The restrooms were clean and the location is perfect. Sleep to the sound of the river rushing by!

We have made this an annual trip, love the campground and the peaceful sound of the river! Added bonus, it is less than an hour from our front door!

Beautiful site - peaceful and quiet with no music, no barking dogs etc. Just a great weekend in a VERY clean and well kept campground - Thank you!

This campground is extremely well maintained. Toilets are clean. Campsites are along the river, some are more secluded than others. Each campsite has a bear canister. We had fun!

Nice level campsites for camper van. Only "hiking" on site is a short walk along the river. Longer hikes nearby. Bathrooms clean. Thanks.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
