One of the best campgrounds up on the very top of the rim. It would be nice if more electric sites were offered.

We love Canyon Point! Its quiet, clean, and beautiful. We certainly appreciate the electric hookups as well as the water and dump station. Very convenient!

Weather was challenging but you cant control that. There need to be lights either outside or inside building restrooms, even with a flashlight they were hard to find because of the dark buildings. The hosts @ the campground were mediocre, we needed help w my campstove and we were told immediately that they werent allowed to touch it. We walked away. Thats not what I expect from a host. We found fellow campers that were eager to help and to be honest there wasnt anything wrong w it. It was our fault. Unwelcoming to say the least from hosts.

Definitely among the most organized, cleanest and just nicest NF campgrounds I ever had the pleasure of camping in. Pleasant and hard working staff to be comment.

The campground is spotless. There is a nice breeze in the afternoons and the sites arent too close to one another. Everyone respects the noise curfew. Having showers and an RV dumping station makes it very convenient.

The place to rest, relax and enjoy nature! Excellent site size with plenty of shade all day long. My only "con" is they are all dry-camping sites. The limited number of full-hookup sites are never available. Even the first-come, first-serve sites are all taken no matter what day of the week we arrive. I talked to one couple who had been at their site over a month. They weren't specific but they said they found a way around the 14-day max stay. When will there be more "reserve in advance" full hookup sites??

Was disappointed that site next to us had 5 tents 3 vehicles looked like a group site but was not. Counted 20 chairs. Only rule that anyone seemed to enforce was no wheels off of pavement. After the huge group left was nice and quiet.

Just getting out of the heat in the valley, and the fresh smell of Pine makes summer in AZ worth while!

Camp hosts were very pleasant and helpful. They certainly have their hands full with all of the people who stay at these campgrounds. It's always so disappointing to see how much trash people leave behind, throw around or allow the wind to blow away. Wish people were more responsible and respectful. The Camp Hosts work hard to keep the campground clean, so should the campers!

We went there like most people, to get out of the heat. We did. It was quiet and cool. Sites we every well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. The hosts there, do an exceptional job!!!! Like the fact, there is a shower house for people. You are close to at least 2 lakes. Tons of hiking. Very nice place. Thank you for the great experience.

There was some new vault toilets installed, which kind of makes the toilet experience a little better

First of all I want to commend the staff. The hosts were knowledgeable and courteous.Sites were level, clean and easy to access. Restrooms were clean and strategically located throughout the camp grounds so there was no need walk a great distance to use the facilities.Water is available near the entrance, as well as showers and a dump station. Dumping is free for paid campers otherwise there is a ten dollar fee. Fishing is available nearby at a number of lakes and streams with numerous trails maintained by the forest service. Maps can be obtained at the visitors center across the highway from the Woods Canyon Lake turnoff or any forest service office. Overall Canyon Point is a beautiful campground and well maintained. It is located close to fishing, hiking or to use as a base camp for other recreational activities. I would certainly recommend it to any one who wants to camp in the tall pines and cooler weather.We camped in site 96 in a motorhome.

Great campground. The pit toilets were very clean and did not smell. Great location out of the heat.

The sites are so big and full of giant pine trees so a lot of shade. The hosts keep the place immaculate. The showers and bathrooms are very clean. The pit toilets are kept full of supplies and are spotless. My only suggestion as small dog park so the dogs can get their zoomies in.

Always a great experience. Campground is clean and camp-hosts are friendly.
@CarolM9915509 · Camped on Jun 21, 2025 at Campsite #12
Clean bathrooms and showers. Large campsites. Dump site and fresh water are close by. I love the pine trees and squirrels! They hosted a really fun lecture about owls. The kids loved it! The host gave all the kids an owl pellet and tweezers to sort through the pellet and find small bones and beaks that the owl regurgitated since it cant process them in its gizzard.

The facility was very clean and all the other campers were very respectful. It is close to fishing and there are 2 hiking trails within the campground. Just walking the B loop is a mile so getting your exercise in is easy. The showers are clean and accessible. The water/dump station for our trailer makes it easy to load up or dump. The only difficulty is trying to get a reservation, but it is worth the effort.
@PaulV2D86EED12 · Camped on Jun 18, 2025 at Campsite #6
Camp hosts were awesome. Campground, restrooms and showers were kept super clean. My only complaint is letting people not camped in Canyon Point use the facility. Especially the showers and dump station! It causes a major wait on the weekends.
@NancyN1030728 · Camped on Jun 16, 2025 at Campsite #47
It was nice and quiet except for the weekends.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
