Site 18 (walk in site) was very close to the public parking lot for the visitors parking lot so ended up being rather noisy at night. Also had tons of ants on the ground making things a bit challenging at times. Loved Zion and camping here but this site not the best.

The walk in sites are very nice. They have some separation from each other and they have picnic tables and shade structures.

Watchman Campground was a good stay for us the night before we took a 6am shuttle to Chamberlain Ranch for the Narrows hike. Only disappointment-- no showers! Would really benefit from showers especially after a dusty hike.

Watchman is a very good campground. We enjoyed our time there even with the 50 mph wind gusts, rain, sleet and snow! The space is great. The beauty is amazing. There is a traffic noise there because it is the hub for everything. I also wish that the visitor's center had more educational programs, but I think that was due to the time of year.

Second spring break in a row we've spent at Watchman Campground. We stayed in F-loop, which are walk-in sites. You are assigned a parking spot, but just walk across the street to the visitor's center and bridge into Springdale. Campsite is great and includes a sunshade. Perfect basecamp to take the park shuttles into Zion Canyon or to walk to a dinner at one of the restaurants in town.

The campground is a beautiful location, and is well maintained. Short walk to catch a shuttle at the Visitor Center. Bathroom was pretty clean. I felt really fortunate to get a last minute reservation for the exact nights I was able to make it through Zion. Each tent site has a parking spot. My only (major) challenge was the wind at night - perhaps due to my spot being at the edge of the campground near the road without much to break it. Would recommend trying a spot in the center of the campground to (potentially?) remedy this. The ground was too hard for me to stake, so the first night I had four sizeable rocks in the corners of my tent, and even then they were sliding around. The rain cover blew off at about 4am. Tie down to anything you can (the shelter or the picnic table)! By the last night, I had the four rocks in corners, a tripod holding one edge and my heavy backpack on the other, trying to not blow away. Earplugs helped somewhat, but it was still kinda hard to sleep through.

Loved the scenery, the hiking trails where great, just don't take young children seen to many crying and upset, and it was hot.. i would recommend taking them at 6am or 7am, but nothing after that.Parking lot at the visitor center gets full quick so arrive early. Restrooms where very clean.. Only downside I had was my parking spot was far from my camping site, so I parked across the street in the visitor center, which was not a problem. Set some time to visit the town and all the cute shops they offer.

Beautiful campground, clean facilities, obviously cant beat the views and the access to both the park and Springdale. The on site rangers, Bev and John (I believe?) were so helpful and kind and it was really a fantastic experience!
