I miscalculated when campsites at Zion would be available for booking, so I got a site in F loop (the last one available for the dates I wanted) that would not have been my first choice if I had a choice (no fire ring at the site itself and no shade other than a pergola at a hot time of year) - but that still doesn't detract from my high rating of this campsite. The views were beautiful, quail ran through our site, the visibility of stars was incredible - all around just a lovely location. It is walking distance from the visitor's center, which was super convenient for catching the shuttle in the morning to go hiking before the crowds arrived. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Cell phone coverage was excellent (for better or worse). I've done recon for the next time we camp there, and I have my eye on A5 :)

Checking in at noon will likely mean you will find no parking in that visitors lot, so get to the park early. Then check in to your campsite after you day's hikes.

The walkin tent sites (F section) are awesome. The variety of plant and animal life that shares the space is really interesting and the sites are nicely spread out for privacy but also a nice community feel. Ill be back soon.

Very noisy due to construction being performed that we were not informed of prior. Also due to its proximity to the main parking lot.Lots of local wildlife is a plus though! Its also very close to the visitor center and a short walk out of the park to get to Zion Outfitters and the brew pub. Also, please install showers. Seriously, if Zion Outfitters has them, there's no reason the federally funded national park shouldn't.

Beautiful area, and campsite. There is a recreation rental place maybe 200 yards away. You wouldn't know. So you can wake up early and get gear and head out.

Absolutely fantastic location to explore the Zion canyon -- very close to the Visitor's center as well as the restaurants and markets just outside the park.

Everyone has already mentioned all the amazing stuff about Zion and Watchman. I agree with all of that, all that is accurate. Here is what i see no one mentioning that would have been helpful :)We stayed at the F015 camp site. We went 06/17/22 - 06/20/22. You have to walk about a good minute to get from the parking lot to your actual campsite. Be ready to do a few back and forth tips. There is more than enough room to place 1-3 tents which can hold 2-4 people each on your campsite. We had 1 tent which is a 4 person tent, but a 4 person tent to me sleeps 2 people comfortably. While cooking, about 6-7 bees would show up trying to eat the food we were cooking. They would do pretty much every time we cooked. At night roaches began to appear on the ground regardless of if food was out or not. Pretty good sized roaches. Bring roach spray, and or perhaps bee spray. winds are high, so make sure you secure everything at all times. Other than this, everything was amazing.

Watchman Campground was awesome. It is right inside the park, just past the visitor center. It was well kept, with nearby restrooms and dumpsters for trash. Each spot has a fairly large food locker, a picnic table, and pergola. Each spot is also surrounded by flora that keeps each spot relatively private. But it has a communal fire pit for people to join around in the evenings! It is very close to the Watchman trailhead, which is a nice beginner trail with amazing view, especially for viewing the sunset. Even though I was there when Angel's Landing didn't require a permit, I highly recommend getting the permit and hiking the trail before sunrise(especially during hotter parts of the year). Staying at Watchman also means that you have a reserved parking spot inside the park during your reserved days, which is a must. The main parking lot for the park fills up almost immediately, even during non-peak season.

The campsite is very nice. It even has a metal locker that you can store your food in overnight to keep the critters out. Good views. The site I was in was next to the entrance however and you could see cars coming in and out throughout the morning and night. There was very good cell coverage with Verizon I was even able to FaceTime people without the call dropping or even slowing down.

Amazing views. Community campfire was a nice way to meet fellow campers. Showers at gear rental store across the bridge were nice, but check the times at the store, the information board at the campsite was inaccurate.
