Extremely convenient spot for getting to the visitor center and shuttles. Walk-in but the car is so close that it doesn't matter. There's so many animals around, it's really neat. The shade structure is helpful, but my partner didn't really agree. The ground is so hard that we weren't able to get stakes in the ground. We ended up sleeping without the rainfly, which was fine because it was so hot. The first night it was so windy, it was a bit frightening. It's worth mentioning that there's some kind of facilities type building behind the spot that's not in the photo. It's not really that disruptive though. Also the picnic table was under the shade structure, which is probably where I would have put the tent or hung my hammock otherwise. Overall still nice.

Clean campground with close access to bathrooms (with flushable toilets and running water) and dish wash stations. Easy access to trails and visitor center, just about a 1.5mi walk into Springdale for lots of food options. Will definitely stay again!

First time camping at Watchmans camping. Got luck with the last spot available for 10/28. Parking was really close to the spot, so it was easy to unload and load the car. Our 3 Nemo tents fitted with plenty of space left. There was a fire ring, picnic table and even an awning about our tents. The ground was clean and the bear box was 5 feet away from the table. The only draw back was the closest bathroom being closed. The sunset colors reflecting on the rock wall was an unexpected greeting. The deer were roaming at night and early morning, beautiful full moon night.

Great campsite, right below Watchman and easy flat trail walking distance to the visitor center and Zion Outfitters for firewood, ice, groceries, restaurants and showers. Clean bathrooms and lots of wildlife viewing from your campsite. Will definitely be back!

Excellent staff provided useful information. Close to the Visitor Center. Watch for deer roaming the campsite. Two decided to enhance my stay on the first day.

Walk-in campsite F001. Very clean, well maintained. Well laid out. My complaint is that there were so many people having fires when it was supposed to be gas stove only. Is there no one to enforce this? However, I also don't understand why there was a gas stove only requirement anyway since there is very little growth to catch on fire. It is pretty much just a desert with some scrub. Loved the bus transit policy which eliminated traffic jams within the park. Made it feel more intimate.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in any National park. I especially love the walk-in sites and close proximity to trails and the visitor center. When I was last here there was a massive heatwave and I ended up cutting my trip short due to the 115 degree temps. I tried to find campground staff to speak with on 3 separate occasions, called the phone number, and went online and was unable to successfully cancel the remaining half of my trip to open up the site to someone else. Otherwise the stay was perfect. It’s an amazing campground and I will be back in cooler weather!

Roaches, temps over 100, no campfires, low water levels. Bathrooms were maintained well but all in all it was a disappointing experience, especially since our trip last year at the same site was incredible.

Enjoyed our experience in the watchman camp grounds. I was concerned about F loop being a walk to camp site but the walk was nothing. Distance between the parking area and the camp site was about 15 feet. F Loop sites seem more isolated from the other camp sites compared to D Loop’s layout. In the end though, you’re at Zion. Most of the time you’ll be hiking and enjoying the scenery. One thing I appreciate about Zion besides the beauty is how clean it is. This is the second of what is to be many visits to Zion.
