Watchman campground is a beautiful setting and the grounds and individual sites are very well maintained. Each site in the D section tent loop has a gravel surface which prevents dust and reduces tiny debris, but also adds a nice color hue. I am not a fan of old, wooden tables and the ones here are newer and made of metal. Site D035 is on the edge of the loop and has a direct view of mountain peaks and the rising sun and moon, and a tree that provides shade in the October afternoon. Water and bathrooms are a short walk away. Regarding the park in general, it was very disappointing that there is no supply or convenience store!

SIte was labeled even though we had to do self-check in. Campground and facilities were clean. Thanks for letting us wake up next to the beautiful mountains.

Large, but quiet campground with beautiful views everywhere you look. The bus system that takes you into the canyon works well but it is crowded, so its a good idea to start early. The visitor center is within walking distance of the campground. Just outside the park ,also within walking distance, there is a grocery store, rental store, pay showers and a great brew pub.

A few people were loud late into the night one night and one of the dish washing sinks was clogged.Other than that everything was perfect.

Nice big spot, staff was great. It was quit at night and deer came crossing through our site. Couldn't ask for anything better. Bathrooms were clean also.

When we arrived at our campsite around 1:30pm-2pm, there was a tent in our reserved campsite with no one to be found. The camp host said they couldnt help us, so we were sent to one of the park rangers at the entrance booth. She was on her lunch break and didnt want to be disturbed. We were wanting to set up our camp so we could eat lunch and go about the rest of our day doing some hikes. We were instead having to jump back and forth between campsites, and deal with frustrating confrontation. We were assigned to a different campsite after a lot of time and hassle at our expense. Theres a reason why people make reservations. This could have been prevented if the host/rangers made sure people were checking out on the correct days. Campers and RVs in tent only areas, reservations not honored, quiet hours not being followed. This campground is very poorly managed and these issues need to be addressed. No one should have to deal with this kind of headache and problems on their vacation. Very disappointed in the campground management.

Nice quiet campground. Not too crowded. We previously only use South Campground but since it was under maintenance, this is the first time we camped at Watchman

Lower elevation camp sites were muddy, so I'd suggest C or D loop which seemed to be higher and had gravel. Very empty campground which was nice.

In loop D 35. The spot was nice and fairly private being set back a little. Showers would be amazing otherwise the bathrooms were fine and the water filling station was convenient. For some crazy reason car alarms go off nonstop. They are very consistent starting at about 6 am and continue all through the day and night. I was woken up a few times in the middle of the night by the alarms.

Spacious site but even though there are trees they don't provide much shade.

We love staying at The Watchman! It is the perfect place to explore Zion from. There is no waiting in lines to get into the park and you are just a short walk away from the canyon shuttles. You can also cross the walking bridge into town for rentals and trips to the grocery storea. The spots are small, but watching the sun rise and set on the mountains around you makes it all worth it. The kids also love playing in the river and watching the deer as they walk through the campsites daily. The bathrooms are clean with flush toliets and fresh drinking water is available.

This was a beautiful campground with scenic views to wake up to. I enjoyed that the bathrooms were heated since it was cold in the mornings and at night. The only thing I would have liked is to have water spigots closer to the campsite. The only water source we found was the outdoor sink in the bathroom building.

This is a wonderful campground with views of the surrounding red cliffs. Most sites have some shade.

Watchman campground is a great staging area for Zion. Since the river touches the town of Springdale, we appreciated having a spot on the outside of a loop, furthest away from the river. This made our site as quiet as possible. Zion Canyon is epically beautiful, but also super busy. We spent some time over in Kolob Canyon, and hiking from the Wildcat Canyon down into Zion Canyon. Both of these experiences were great ways to get away from humans. Finally, if you are planning to go into Zion Canyon, make sure you are super quick in getting shuttle tickets. Shuttle tickets were all gone within 2 minutes of opening up on the day that we wanted to acquire them.

The camp host was not supervising the campground. We had a family camping next to us decide to make a huge campfire around 1030 pm after quiet time. Alot of the heat from the fire coming into our tent and no host around to enforce quiet time. Fire burned to about midnight or later with pots and pans brewing and banging and people speaking loudly to one another. Still no quiet time enforcement around. Rangers or campground hosts do nothing to enforce quiet time.
