Watchman campground is perfect - I hope to bring friends who have less experience camping here because it's so well supported (shuttles, restaurants, coffee, access to the national park) and in just a drop dead gorgeous location that it would blow their socks off. Our site was clean, close to park access, and having previously stayed at Zion in searing heat of August, the November weather was a welcome change even though some of the campground restrooms were closed and had to hoof it a bit farther for the toilets/ water amenities. I would recommend visiting Zion during these colder months as it made the park more manageable and the hikes more enjoyable. While we brought electric bikes to make accessing the park on our own schedule more easily, the free shuttle was so convenient we often used that in lieu, particularly when we knew we would be doing a more difficult hike. We won the lottery to do Angel's Landing, which was my first time doing this hike. While I have a fear of heights, I found it to be manageable and one of the most beautiful hikes I have done. We just made sure to start on the hike early to avoid crowds.

Easy access to a very nicely maintained campground. The location is great since it is right by the visitor center and the bus stop. The ground under the gravel was very hard, so bring a hammer and strong stakes for your tent.

We camped here two nights while visiting the park and lived the easy access to the shuttle, visitor center, gift shop and nearby Springdale all within walking distance. The bathrooms are basic and there is an area to do dishes and water available. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the area.

Mostly great experience - staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean, Zion was amazing. I wish more people would heed the suggestions about using red lights instead of normal flashlights. You go to Zion for the hikes and the views but also the beautiful night sky, which is messed up when people wave flashlights all over the place. (Night vision and all.) One neighbor in particular had a bevy of lights flashing (including keeping the car lights on for an extended period). SMDH.Some suggestions for surviving the experience:* the ground where you would stake out your tent is pretty hard, plan accordingly* don't feel the need to buy everything prior to coming in. The store near the campgrounds is within walking distance, and prices weren't that outrageous* even if the weather report says partly cloudy, assume a chance of thunderstorms. Extra tarp/cover is helpful.* depending on your carrier you might get cell coverage at the campsite, but don't assume much. Recommend downloading maps/trails prior to arrivingOne last thing - the Narrows is absolutely amazing, but saw a number of families with small children who thought it would be cute to try and ford the river with only shorts on. The ones who were coming back out were shivering and crying. Or others who thought it was neat to go swimming and go fully in the river, despite all the warnings. At the very minimum watch all of the various YT videos on what to expect and read the signs.

Great location close to visitor center and shuttle bus stomp for the canyon and town. Also close to some hikes. Can walk to stores and restaurants or jump on a short shuttle to town. Nice views. Spots are well maintained with fire rings, close together but not any worse than most large national park main campgrounds. Bathrooms are a bit dated. Highly recommended.

The spot is near all facilites, and would be excellent in spring or a bit later in the year. It does not have enough shade, as some of the neighboring sites do. The campground hosts are kind people that answered all of out questions and helped us sort out a space for a friend that showed up last minute. We loved our stay.

Really nice place to camp in. Big area for tents and cars. Table and firering, but you need to check if you can have a fire. We didn't and that kind of messed up our food plans. Free shuttle to get to the trails Is really nice.

Way too crowded and not enough camp spots, and the showers available there are horrible. You would think with the infrastructure act. Many of the park services Crown Jewels could use some much needed upgrades. Including better high speed broadband. And cell service.

Great campsite with great facilities and access to the visitors center. This isn't a site for you if you prefer to be remote and with minimal light/noise but great for car camping and conveniences.

Very convenient location and clean bathrooms. There are dedicated sinks for washing dishes and cooking wares. The scenery around it is superb. Visitor center and the shuttle bus are within walking distance and the town of Springdale as well. Many deer live there as well and they can be seen every day and at all times. Those deer will go through each camp site and look for food. They dig into each bags and containers which they can find. They are not afraid of people and have the ability to open lids of the boxes. Any containers will have to be secured to avoid those deer's explorations. I saw deer in action and was surprised how capable they are to locate food and dig into it. All campers should be better educated about this and keep their food secured at all times.

Great campground with gravel camping area, nice bathrooms (need a light at night) and an area to wash dishes. Close to visitor center and an easy walk to town.
