Not much to the campground. Lots of lizards, mice and aggressive squirls running around. Was hot in June, so don't even consider this campground without electricity. Even then, we finally called it and went to a hotel. 106 is just too hot and it never cooled down at night. Otherwise, we love the NP Zion, we enjoyed Springfield being just across the pedestrian bridge. We hiked the Narrows, Scout Lookout, Canyon Lookout and Emerald Falls each one early in the day. Afternoons were spent in the water and in shade.

It was great to be right in the park. Because it was busy we did have to move to a different site for our second night but I guess I should have booked earlier.

Beautifully located campground at the bottom of the Watchman mountain, just a short walk from the shuttle service and the brewery/shops. Clean bathrooms (shame there's no showers!) and nice picnic area and grill at each site.

The Watchman Campground was clean and well situated. It was near a couple of the trails and near the bus line to the other trail sites. There was a nearby foot bridge to the community at the entrance to the park that provided access to outfitters for bike and equipment rentals for use on some hikes, like "The Narrows". Near the walking bridge was also a market, coffee shop, and a brew pub which were nice resources to have close by.

Beautiful campground with trees for shade and green grass.
Peaceful in the afternoons--nice after hiking to just sit and take in the gorgeous views from the camp site.
Clean facilities (toilets, sinks)... though the men's bathroom was sometimes locked inexplicably?
Really nice to be able to walk across the river (remember your pass!) to get a (paid) shower, groceries, and a beverage.
Allergy alert: Lots of cotton from cottonwood in the air in early May.
Five stars.

No bad views from this campsite. The bathrooms were fairly clean and toilet paper was stocked.

Hi We spent Thanksgiving week at Watchman, and I was very glad to have a spot as the park was very crowded. I liked the campground, magnificent views all around! Restrooms were clean and warm a big plus since it got pretty cold at night! Also, very close to the visitor center and the shuttle buses which are indispensable for getting around. If you plan on hiking the narrows, you can save some time and money by bringing your own hip boots or waders. Please note that you need a permit to hike Bright Angel trail. Springdale is a lovely town within walking distance from the campground there is also a free town shuttle that runs from the South Entrance into town if you forgot some supplies. Brace yourself for big crowds but its worth it.

Location is convenient, close to restroom, visit center and the shuttle stop. Its nice that theres even a place to shower near the visitor center. The starry sky is so beautiful at night. The only downside is that its easy to get lost at night due to no street lights. But its understandable.

Reserved loop A for 3 nights over Thanksgiving 1 week before the trip, I could hardly believe there was anything available, so I was thrilled to say the least. Loop A was filled with RVs so my tiny 2-man tent was a bit out of place, but who cares when you can hear the gentle sounds of the Virgin River and a crackling campfire right? This trip was my first to Watchman campground but my second to Zion. Pros:-restrooms were clean, stocked with soap, and the hand dryers were great during freezing cold weather-Watchman Trail was a short walk along the Virgin River and across the visitor center parking lot, I would definitely recommend checking it out-power outlets at the campsite (A15) were an unexpected surprise and allowed me to charge up my Chevy Volt, how cool!-deer were plentiful throughout my visit (don't feed the animals)-short walk or ride into Springdale if you wish to check out the restaurants and shops (I managed to dine at Thai Sapa on Thanksgiving, yum)Cons:-tent stakes were difficult to drive in the ground but that's my fault for not packing a hammer -uh, that's about it...

Awesome experience. This campground is perfectly located right behind the Visitor center and where you catch the shuttle, clean bathrooms, and a bunch of shade. To make it better, I would change just two things: Instal a couple of showers in the bathroom. A reminder if you want to go take your shower at Zion Outfitters shop store walking (instead of driving), have your vehicle par entrance fee receipt with you otherwise you are not going to be let in the park again through the pedestrian entrance (right next to Zion outfitters). Attention: Book your parking spot in advance. They sold out quickly!
