Beautiful setting, accommodations still in good shape even with staff cuts. Allowed me to be one of the first in line to get to the charging station at the visitor center.

This is a lovely campground within the national park. Spent a few night here in February, which was perfect not too cool, and not too crowded. There are several group sites nearby and while some campers were a bit raucous, everyone respected the quiet hours and settled down by 10pm. Highly recommend!

Take advantage of the wonderful volunteers in Zion NP and stop to talk with them - they are a wealth of information and share great passion and exciting energy for the region. I learned a lot and so glad I chatted with Janice.

Great view of the Watchman! Probably the closest campsite to it. Saw lots of deer as well. Be sure to secure your trash inside the car or throw it away--we saw a deer eating our neighbor's trash unfortunately.

My family of five loved camping at Watchman. The campground is lovely. My kids loved exploring the Virgin River. We stayed at campsite D21, and it had an amazing view of The Watchman behind it. We had lots of space and enough shade during the day that it didn’t get too hot at our campsite when we were taking a break.

Watchman is a nice campground. It would have been nice to know that during the "off" season some of the bathrooms were closed.

We just lucked into a cancellation but somehow got the best site in the best part of the campground. The boundaries of the sites are very well-defined with tent pads (sort of) and revegetation areas roped off.

My neighbors were all nice and quiet, so it made for a very pleasant experience. The bathroom was only a short walk away. The downside, maybe, was that I think too many campsites relied on the one bathroom, so it got pretty gross quite quickly.

Ranger Brett (maybe?) did a great check-in talk. I didn’t see a ranger or host patrol during the day at all though, and my neighbors had three deer get into some marshmallows. I saw two unattended fires. The host went around each night around 8pm, but that was all I saw. Overall it was a great experience.

The Watchman campground is well situated with great views and close proximity to the Visitor's Center. Flush toilets are conveniently located. Campsites are relatively flat and well groomed for tent camping.

Bring earplugs for those late night accidental car alarms and occasional early rising loud talkers. More importantly, try not to be one of them!

Had an epic stay at Watchman Campground with my extended family. The location is ideal, right inside the south entrance of the park, with the visitor center and its shuttle stop within walking distance. The surrounding canyon walls are an incredible backdrop. The facilities did not have hot showers (to the chagrin of my city girl sister-in-law) but were better than I was expecting, with very clean bathrooms, a dish wash station, and potable water filling station. Our campsite was large, with parking space for 2 passenger cars and with a totally flat tent pad fitting our small tent and my bro-in-law's 2-bedroom-and-foyer monster tent. Our campsite even had partial shade for most of the hot day. The campground hosts were very friendly and available. Really impressed. Only hope we can return someday.

The campground was great! It is walking distance to the visitor center, the bathrooms are clean and very nice for a campground. There were deers roaming around our campsite when we arrived :)
